For those who want to totally remove fuel tank from bike frame as i did to hard wire a charging lead directly to my positive & negative battery terminals. After lifting/supporting front tank section, you can reach underneath & remove both fuel hoses. A 5/16 fuel supply hose & fuel return hose by pressing plastic spring loaded release clips. Gently disconnect/remove both fuel hoses. Then disconnect the fuel pump power supply wire just above the both fuel hoses. Use a small flat blade screw driver to gently release tab upwards, be very careful as the electrical connector is made of plastic & wouldnt take much force to break. Remove rear security bolt. Carefully lift fuel tank up with both hands, then hold fuel tank with one hand, use the free hand to reach under at the rear end of tank & gently pull/remove both 1/4 inch breather hoses. They are pressed on. It is advised to have a tank with low fuel content making the tank lighter to lift. If you get a friend to help you, that's even better.
