@@thegreatdovahhdog645 yeah, but if they would get in multiplayer as coop for a campaign on the same base as for example in multiplayer hoi4, playercount would probs go higher, even double ngl
@neat9584 agreed. It would alter the game immensely if they could manage some decent multi-player and coop. Same party, or even better, separate parties/nations for players.
@@stillcantbesilencedevennow I don't see how they would get multiplayer coop to really work unless the world is paused when one player is in a battle, time is slowed down so enemies can't quickly reinforce, combat is only done in auto battles, or it works like in total war games where the other players can play as the enemy side or play as a captain under you.
At any rate it's never going to feel as good as we imagine it in a perfect game as we can't truly do our own thing with other players around with a live battle system.

All I can really say is that from what was shown in this video the game is in a early alpha state and needs a long time to cook, I do wish them luck as I want more competition for M&B like games but it's too early for me to have a real interest.
Having a more simple and interactive economy will be great, the economy in BL is a mess with how they created it and it should have been more simple. Battles and mounts among other things will need to feel really good to compete with M&B so that's a ton of pressure you are placing on them with a title like that.

Its a game all mount and blade players want beacause its a mount and blade with coop, obviously its a solo dev and doesent have the experience of mount and blade devs so it doesent look as well as warband or bannerlord but we dont care because we want coop
8 directions of attack & block instead of 4 would be awesome, those 45 degree angle cuts and blocks to make it interesting for both games
Will this be online as in u can play servers with 3 random players?
Is there collision? Like in heavy infantry or cavalry
as for right now this game looks like game "warrider" before it was named Mount&Blade but 2024 edition
Mainland is pretty cool I see the potential in it but it doesn’t give so much satisfaction as Bannerlord does.

Bro if its a single developer its not even worth talking about it. It will never get anywhere, though i wish a real studio decided to compete in the mount and blade genre
Agree, it isn't the kind of game thatcan be done solo. Manor Lords barely is, and even Slavic needed some help making sure it all ran properly.
If it gets proper support he may get more help.

it's not impossible though, the original M&B was made by two people alone, Armagan and his wife, they the game got a cult following and grew and they managed to hire more people for warband and later bannerlord

This looks like it has a lot of potential, as a comparison to Bannerlord it seems like they could fill a lot of the gaps I feel are missing. Co-op obviously being the most exciting feature for me, but I really like the idea of settlements/villages and not having castles that are by themselves without many resources. I think adding the possibility to fortify a village i.e. like with watchtowers and maybe just some wooden palisade walls could be great.

Bit ambitious that this will be ready in 2024... looks very early alpha, however, shows the potential to be an alternative to Bannerlord. Will be interested to see where this one goes for sure.
