This psalm contains, (1.) Earnest exhortations to all concerned, to praise the Lord, verses 1-3, 19-21. (2.) Rich matter for praise, God considered as the God of Israel, verse 4; as the God of gods, verse 5; as the God of the whole world, verses 6-7; as a God terrible to the enemies of Israel, verses 8-11; but kind to Israel, verses 12-14; and as the only true and living God, before whom all others are but vanity and falsehood, verses 15-18.
