You say you create a new layer then fill it in what do you mean by this also what brushes are you using to move the facial positions? As we cannot see, thanks
Sometimes after baking layers you have Black model (mainly if you are recording Layer and dont stop it). So fill means Just fill with color (you should have white color as default)
@@TOMCHANTVFX Or better to say Paul didnt bake in the furst time in the video but sometimes it happens also with new layers (rarely). But before baking if you have unvisible layers (and you dont delete them) or you are in recording mode that black model after bake is very often (or better to say ZBrush will use secondary color). I think Paul used just some move brushes for that presentation, but its always good to move and sculpt expressions if you use it for blendshapes. But watch moe videos with him, he hasvery good seminars on Pixologic YT channel.
Very useful. I can tell you're using it on your literal facial expressions.
Awesome! Thanks, Paul.
This looks like a lot of fun to play around with!

I dig the UI. 👍
Thanks helps a lot
Are blend shapes basically the equivalent to the shape keys in blender?
Yes. You can also export Layers to Blender to Blender, but itslittle more complicated workflow than Maya plugin .
Roby banks😂😂that's hilarious
👏👏👏💛
Hey question, is there still a point to rigging a face when you use this method? It would seem complicated to combine facial bones with these keys.
when you dont know how to rig the face this would be the solution
What’s crazy is that we can do this in nomad on iPad.
I did not get what was done to revert black subtool?
me neither?
He hotkeyed fill layer button and filled it with standard material in one click.
With a mouse... really ? Weird ;)
