I bought jeep cherokee latitude plus last saturday. I love it. the outlook, the 3.2L engine, everything is cool. out of my three suv(infiniti qx60, bmw x5 and jeep), I like the new jeep most!
Watch for transmission issues! My wife and I leased a 2019 back in 2018. Currently seeking lemon law status because we continually have transmission problems. The first problem was a 5 second delay when shifting it to drive from either park or reverse (after a complete stop). It would jerk and lunge and the rpms would rev up like it was still in neutral. All details aside, we have less than 7k miles on it and can’t wait to get rid of it!
I bought new my 2.0 turbo trailhawk yesterday, today I am very happy, even the color Green olives I like very much, I live in California in Newport Beach, California there are many roads off the road, in spring I go for my first test. Thanks for the great video, sorry my English I've only been living in Newport beach for 6 years, I'm deaf, I have a cochlear implant. Thank you. Mauro
The words investment and car should never be used together when discussing a new vehicle. A car is a purchase. That purchase will always rapidly depreciate if you use it and if you don't it will still depreciate for the next 40 years.
AU9377 yeah but you could say you are “investing” in a new laptop in the sense that it will help you get more work done, even though a laptop is also a usually depreciating asset
@@Greendile Agreed. Investing doesn't always need to mean "money" and actual investmenting. It can simply mean investing in something that will help you get productive for example in the long run.
Love your videos, Micah! Unfortunately the wifey and I leased a 19 Cherokee. Currently in the process of determining if it qualifies as a lemon. Not even 7k miles on it yet and already had 5 visits back to the dealership for transmission issues. Can’t say I’d recommend this one!!!
@@blackeagle030 Chrysler has been absolutely horrible throughout this Lemon Law process. They didn't respond in over two months to any of my requests so I was forced to get an attorney involved. They have since replied to me but I have yet to have a complete resolution yet. This Jeep being a Lemon did not solely bury my confidence in Chrysler, it has been dealing with corporate. I will never buy or lease any Chrysler product ever again. I cannot wait to get rid of this Jeep and move on with life.
You need to test all the glove boxes like this! It needs to become the standard unit of measurement for the industry Micah I think you just had a breakthrough
The Jeep is more then its looks, if you're buying it for an investment, very few if any at all make will make it past its 5th to 6th year...without some major issue!! They are the least of all SUV's that will fail you--without exception! Their engine and drive train will simply fail you!! There's no reason to lie, their great as new, but it will be short lived, no matter what you do!! So, save your money!!!

Micah, I agree competently with your mention the Cherokee's limited steering column adjustment. Every time I have driven the Cherokee, I am put off by the "too high" steering wheel. Adjusting the seat higher is NOT an acceptable measure to compensate, because then the arm rests fall out of natural alignment with my posture.
My family got me the 2019 'Limited' model with the basic 4-cylinder in January 2019. It's stalled twice in the last month. Never keeps the settings I program in. The lumbar support suddenly no longer supports, or even moves. The hi-beams are ridiculously easy to turn on and I accidentally do so constantly while turning on the turn signals. The A/C system is weak (My old PT cruiser was better and stronger, and it was a 2002 basic model), it's constantly changing gears and never seems quite sure what gear to be in, plus it has a huge delay in changing gears if you do sudden throttle or brake movements (Romp on the gas for example, and you're looking at a full second before it figures out it should do something) plus it has only a bit more oomph than my old 2002 PT cruiser with less horsepower. The headrests have some secret latch or something so I can't remove them so I can put on seat covers, and the felt-like covering in the cargo area turns it into a slip-and-slide for grocery bags. Nothing like taking a leisurely turn at a mosey and hearing the week's food go for a joyride. Oh, and the power day/night rearview mirror that does nothing a normal mirror doesn't is twice the size of my old PT's and blocks a big chunk of the forward view. Big enough to block other cars big.
I just purchased a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4x4. Wow, what a great riding 4x4. Suspension is sweet and the backup navigation screen and heated seats and steering wheel are very nice. But I still like a CD player but will download my German music.
Owned a 2016 model and jus upgraded to 2019 model. I más my old 2016 I think the design was unique. This new model is much quieter and the stereo is better everything else is great. Never had a problem will see how this 2019 model does. I’m thinking on keeping this for a while.
How reliable is the jeep Cherokee? I know there are still at least 2 2020 Cherokee's in my area and I'm considering trading my 2018 Ford focus. I need a vehicle for crossing a shallow river at a vacation home.
