    Thank you for this video! I quilt, but have NEVER sewn clothes! My teenager need a costume where the pants are made of fake fur! Your video was the only one that made sense to me and gave me the confidence to sew them! Thanks!

    I'm really glad I saw you make these pants. I've always wondered why people make the front and back the same. I've had fleece for more than a year and haven't made them bc it just didn't make sense and I didn't know how to fix it. Now I know!

    You make sewing simple and quick and I'm encouraged to just throw things together, something like cooking. I must use a slippery material for pyjamas as I toss and turn a lot and get stuck otherwise. I'm definitely going to make some bottoms, and your tote too. Blessings to you and your mom.

    Hi Darlene, Could you please do videos on adjusting clothes like adding buttons to close jackets and coats, larger or different neck openings like a square neckline, adding pretty length to short shirts, taking up the front of a shirt so the neckline is not too low and how then to pucker the sleeve? Decreasing the cup in a bra. Taking in the sides and upper arm of a dress. Copying favorite clothes like simple dress, shirt pants and shorts etc. You are great Darlene, you simplify everything and make it so easy. Thank you, Darlene.

    Darlene~Thank you for all the great tips. You really are a great teacher, explaining things very good. I plan on using flannel instead of fleece. Should I straight stitch first, then zig zag my raw edges? (I don't have a serger) or just zig zag like the fleece ones you made?

    • @darlene.michaud
      @darlene.michaud  6 років тому +2

      You could just do zig zag if you want or your can straight stitch then zig zag the edges. If you're not too rough and tough in them you could just straight stitch them. lol

    Darlene, have you ever made dog shirts, I want to make my own,,,but I don't know how to measure my gals, or would it be better to take one of their sweater/shirt and do it the same way as you did for the pants...laying it out and make a pattern using wax paper? I love your videos, you explain everything so good, and then you tell us your ptos and cons. I'm a subscriber from now on.

    I have an idea for the zebra print. How about mommy and daughter matching pajama pants? Of course to have enough material for both, you'd have to make the mommy pants smaller than the leopard pair. Or little a girls dress with matching dress for a baby doll.

    I love animal prints, all I wear is patterns and animal prints... hey Darlene you can dress up your mannequin in zebra print lol or have a question quiz, (whoever gets the answers right, can win the pants) make it into ((HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW ME QUIZ))! Or sell it on eBay.. either way, somebody will jump on it quickly (like MEEE) lol LOVE THE CLOTHES YOU MAKE.. GOD BLESS

    BUT!! When the fabric is all rolled up, how can you tell how the fabric will stretch? Another question? I have "inherited" bunches and bunches of fabric. Good yes, but but, how do figure out what type of fabric it is? synthetic, real cotton, etc. I thoroughly enjoy your channel! Sometimes I have laugh so hard, I have to back track and watch again!

    I would love to be able to make pajama pants like I see in the store, like a knit blend, but when I go to look for fabric I can't find anything that seems like that fabric. Light and stretchy. I am tall and no one makes pajama pants long enough! Fleece makes me sweat because it doesn't breathe. Do you know what kind of fabric to use for regular pajama pants? Thank you for your video, I thought you were so confident and they really turned out nice.
