Still out having a blast on Fraser Island; we camped near Orchid Beach and after heading up Waddy Point to look for whales, we planned the day for heading north to the tip of Fraser Island. This meant crossing the infamous Ngkala Rocks which have long stood as the legal northwards limit for hire vehicles and backpackers and usually keeps a lot of other people down south too.
Ngkala Rocks are not hard if you know how to handle it sand there are a few tips in this clip. Inevitably there were a bunch of 4WD who bogged down while the team's photographing the back track itself. It's MAXTRAX Brad who saved the day though by breaking out a new set of his incredible extreme tracks with their replaceable studs and pulling off a bunch of rescues.
If you're in the mood for more of the best 4WD destination on the planet make sure you've subscribed to the channel and click that notify bell, you won't want to miss out on the Sandy Cape clip.

No worries mate, glad you found me !
Dont know why it should of been difficult driving through N/rocks the sand is wet that day.
Horses for courses, the 200 would be an awesome beast, but not sure how she (can I say that these days....LOL) would go in the high country..
haha… Watch you don't spin those tyres in that 6b Roothy. You'll have all those fun police keyboard warriors on ya back. :P

Luv your videos mate your a real genuine Aussie
Cheers Amos
Ps I met Brad McCarthy when I was working in Brisbane in the early 2 thousands scoping power lines and after talking to him I went straight out and brought a set of Maxtraxs and still got them.
Hey Roothy that can be your next mod for Milo, add another axle, 6x6 Milo
Nice one Roothy!
I would love to see a full custom shoot on that 200, awesome. Cheers Steve
That cruiser is an awesome bit of gear but dam...who ever built those wheel arches...it’s bloody ugly😂
Shane Norwell thinking the same, don’t need those flares
Love your work legend!! But ill take the TREDS over MAXTRAX thanks 👍🏻
cant go driving that thing on a normal car license
I do love me a bit of Fraser Island it has to be my favorite spot to go wheeling.
Love ya work as always bud
A signed communal radio channel would help so much at ngala rocks so everyone is on the same channel
Ie channel 20
Top video Roothy. Couldn't get back to Fraser fast enough if I tried hey
Loving this new series @Roothy well done mate!
So the car pollution in that island is worse than in Bangkok...
Awww, John the look on your face handling that 6 wheeler... an absolute classic... Way to go mate!
Roothy awesome video mate.would like to catch up with you 👍🏻
i think milo2 might need an extra pair of wheels Roothy. Milo6!
I HAVE SEEN 6X6S IN DALBY IN 2014 WHEN I WAS THERE SO BEEN AROUND FOR AWILE
Great fun and what a brute of a car. Nice work team.
How many MPG does that 6x6 LC get lmao or is it a diesel?
Do the maxtrack extremes remind anyone of tred pro clones?
You guys are having too much fun. Great vid. Steve
I don’t see the point in a 6 wheel conversion unless you’re carrying huge loads. You’d be better off with an Iveco Daily 4x4.
Dino you may be right but it's an awesome bit of kit
The water that you guys had to drive through at Ngkala rocks, is that ocean water or rain water?
The amount of salt that blows off the waves would make it salty even if it was rain water. There's no escaping the salt. It's in the air, it gets through everything whether you drive through salt water or not.
Was that Jeep in sandmode or something else?
The 200 didn’t need to be a dual cab
The air box dust leaks should be a concern for everyone with a plastic air filter box not just Toyota's. At 70000 klm I took the turbo intake tube off my 2013 Defender to fit a new front right shocki, I expected to find some oil but instead found a thick black gritty paste. When the snorkel was fitted back when I purchased the car the intake tube clamp on the airbox (after the filter) was tightened down and crimped the airbox creating a space between the box outlet and the tube, result one dusted engine, not terminal but not good. Regular air filter checks will not find this and as it was a new car and under 3 years warranty I had no need to look, I'm also in the habbit of routinely checking the tightness of all the clamps under the bonnet so be carfull doing this around the airbox. Cheers mate 🍻
God ur a legend roothy maye

Milo 2 looks like it has a really Hi c.o.g.
