Nah, the real gag here would’ve been Hoot doing all of that and not getting noticed only for the generator starting up to aggro every hostile npc in the area, including a bunch that he didn’t even know were there in the first place

And then you have games like Amnesia: The Bunker where there's no minigame required, except for the guessing game of if it's gonna fill a quarter of the dial with one can of gas, or only just a piddly little tick.

@@snazzyjovialwyrm3314 when you get the tool to open grates and find out the supply storage has 2 crates FULL of over 20 bottles each and there more littered around the room, and fuel storage is like 4 rooms away, never going run out of power

...It is funny when you realize that if this is a "Dead by Daylight" Setting, you can imagine the Killer just sitting there enjoying Hoot pretty much playing the Instruments.
To be fair to Dead by Daylight, you're not just refueling and turning on a generator; you're repairing a broken generator.
"You got 1 of 10 generators"
You forgot the part where, once you're done, you're being chased by the whatever enemy of the stage immediately.
I always interpreted this as your character having absolutely no generator repair knowledge and just winging it
Then you turn around from the quick time event menu and the enemy one shots you...
But the game auto-saves as you finish turning the generator on, with the mob that one shot you still in position, putting you in a death loop and making you restart the game because you forgot to manual save.
I was expecting "1/3 generators completed" to pop up at the end

That's pretty funny, sometimes I like when there's a mini game for crafting/farming or whatever; though I usually only prefer that in RPG or MMO type games, not shooters/action games.

Helldivers has you do a lot of actions by entering combinations shown on screen via dpad or wasd. It's adds a lot of engagement and tention to things that would otherwise be simple hold button prompts or timers.
