@@ed.t.hansen6499 I didn't had any problem with that, only problem I ran into is that even pegs in the last position are too close for me so I wanted to get 3rd party extension and that's not compatible with PUIG crash bars and sadly probably not with any other crash bars either and as larger vulcan sadly had not been even hinted by kawasaki I guess if I want to make my vulcan more comfortable it won't happen without heavy modifications to both crash bars and the peg holders.
great the first bars I;'ve seen that don't block access to the front long fuse panel !! others all have vertical section to close to block the bottom bolt. !!!
This Crash guard looks better finished than the one I got installed on my Vulcan in India.. (I’ve emailed you a few pics of my accessorized Vulcan) Just after a couple of days after its installation, my friend who tried to ride my Vulcan couldn’t handle its weight (Yes - it’s one of the heaviest bikes in India !) and the bike fell.. Its the Crash guard which protected him and the bike.. At that magical moment, the accessory I hated the most transitioned to the accessory I loved the most !!!
2011 I went down on my 2006 Yamaha V-star 1300 (piece of shi* Yamaha MC not backed by the importer or shop that sold it to me. Just so you know). I put engine guards, previously known as crash bars on it. A car turned into my path, I went down, the engine guard folded in providing my leg no protection, the exhaust pipe crushed my leg bone into 9 pieces. The dock was going to cut my leg off from the knee down. I begged him not to. I still have all my leg $105,000 later. Fortunately my insurance covered 90% so the doc pocketed a lot of money and he didn't cut my leg off. I knew I needed to brace the engine guard or it would fold back, but never got around to it. I'm lucky to still have two legs. The 2015 Kawasaki Vulcan S ABS I want weighs around 500lb. The piece of shi* V-Star 1300 that crushed my leg weighs (668 lb) . I had around 15 near misses prior to the accident. I rode 55 years without an accident. If it happens again I hope I bypass the dam Life Care nursing home and go straight to hell,
BTW, you can get these directly from rng, and it will be a bit cheaper, idk why revizilla and others increased the price a bit. Do you remember the torque? Or is it 30 for everything?
I didn't realize that. Are they still cheaper there? And I'm sorry I don't remember the torque but there should me install instructions online somewhere. Thanks for the tip and I hope you subscribe if you haven't already! -Tripp
Great vid on this, question @Tripp On Two Wheels do you know if this fits the extended reach foot peg position, seems like yours maybe in the extended which mines at currently. Most bars say they only work on the mid reach or reduced reach peg positions I’m really hoping these will fit the extended reach settings.
Thank you sir for the quick reply, after watching your vids on the upgrades I’ll be buying the floor boards as well as the crash bars (extremely happy they fit the extended reach positions). I have the puig new generation windshield which may not work with the LED light bar, but I found a new headlight that is a direct replacement made for the Vulcan on Ebay until I get a set of led running lights I can mount onto the forks. If I don’t get three boards first it will be the Corbin seat it looks fantastic and it is longer than the extended reach seat by about an inch making a huge difference. Thanks again, your videos are great and very informative especially when looking at the next upgrade. Also did you use Viking saddle bags or Kawasaki brand?
Hey Tripp, does R & G make a crash guard bar for the rear saddle-bags on a Kawasaki Vulcan S? If so, what model rear bags would fit the application? To me, R & G, are the only brand of guard bars for the "S" model. Hope to hear from you soon, even though I know you're extremely busy with so much motorcycle presentation material to prepare for video purposes. Doug🏍️🤓👍
Hey TOTW's, I see that you liked my question, especially for any "newbie's" seeing this request. Couldn't find your response to my question, hunting to see if I missed it somewhere. Doug👍🏍️🐻🤓
Sorry for not replying earlier. I don’t believe R&G makes dresser bars (protective guards) for the Vulcan S. As the bike’s main purpose is that of a sport bike and short-distance cruiser, there’s no way a company could sell enough units to make an enticing return on investment. That being said, I could be totally wrong. Google is your friend. 🙂
TOTW, that's what I suspected, yet, I wanted to make sure I got it confirmed by a reliable source. I still intend on getting them specifically along with a few other premium upgrades. Doug🏍️👍🤓🌎
If I fall, with this will the rear (and the whole motorcycle) be protected, or just the engine? I plan to practice with Vulcan S for my motorcycle driving license.
The are called "Adventure Bars." Google R&G Adventure Bars Vulcan S and see if that works. Thanks for your question Rohit; I hope you subscribe. -Tripp
thank you so much for the video! It really helps me out to know the best parts out there for the vulcan s. Ride safe and ride often.
Glad to be of help Ryan! Hope you subscribe.
@@trippontwowheels Sure did!
PUIG crash bars also fit without any issues with pegs in extended reach position. I got both on my Vulcan.
That's very good to know. I had been told otherwise by several folks. Thanks for your comment Wolfgar, I hope you subscribe! -Tripp
The PUIG crash ar don’t fit with the extra light in front, they will hit the bar at full lock.
puig seem to have the bottom vertical bar on the bottom block access to the fuse panel in front . hard to see distance in photos but its close.

i see R&G has a sissy bar back rest also but all web links are dead ???? it was the only ones with a handle for passengers

Sathish Rao I’m happy to hear your crash guard worked! Was there any other damage to your bike?
Tripp On Two Wheels : Fortunately, it was a low impact fall, so there was no damage to the bike. There was a minor scratch on the Crash guard though.
Sathish Rao, you got lucky my friend! Glad to hear it wasn’t any worse. Much better to get a scratch on your crash bars than a dent in your gas tank!
Can you tell me which crash guard is it?
R&G Adventure Bars I think they are called. Bought them through Amazon I believe. Thanks for your question, I hope you subscribe! -Tripp

right side bars block the access to the long panel with two screws; has fuses in there ! Enough clearance to lift the panel out. ?
Looks really good.
Brandon Wilcox Thanks Brandon! I appreciate it.
I've never seen a full bike view of these bars. It's always close up.

talonx1000 Yes my foot pegs are in the extended reach configuration and the R&G crash bars are reportedly the only ones that would work.

talonx1000 Glad I can be of help. I went with the Givi Trekkers 33L. Pricey but well worth it in my opinion.
Awesome ill look at the Givis, thank you again
Highway pegs are illegal here.
But that bar looks good, do the 2 extra headlights stay clear from the bar on full lock?
Yes, they are OEM and work wonderfully with the bike. Plenty of clearance.

NICE VIDEO...I JUST LIKE TO ASK IF THIS CRASH BAR FIT TO VULCAN S 2020 MODEL...TKS

It won't protect the rear of the bike. Only the front.

Aaron Lane unfortunately they won’t fit. Good luck and hope you’ve subscribed!
Now that you've had them for a while, what's your opinion? I rode 241 miles today and my right hip was killing me from not being able to stretch.

Kawasaki OEM Medium Quick Detach
It looks like they may not fold up if you go down . Maybe
Will these fit the 2020 model
TexasSon90 Yes they sure will. They will for all models. Thanks for your question, hope you subscribe. -Tripp
I really wish the pegs folded up for lane splitting clearance... ;(
It does present a problem in that area Travis. We don’t get to lane split in Texas anyhow! Thanks for your comment, hope you subscribe! -Tripp
