    This is so helpful! Does anyone else feel like they were just watching Mary Poppins though? That tool bag had no bottom, you just kept pulling stuff out. 😂 Thank you for all your videos!

    Hi Chantel. I’ve really been enjoying your yt channel as Covid has me thinking about getting a boat 24/7. I especially enjoyed the recent whats in your tool bag video. If I can make a request for a follow up to that video, for new boat owners, what all should you be purchasing keeping on the boat? For example, you’re going to want this many different ropes for each purpose, you will want x number of bumpers, cleaning supplies, life jackets and other safety items, and any other tips on what else you should make sure to have

    Great points about the goggles and the trailer lug wrench. Good stuff.

    Awesome video. A few adds…
    1. Weekend Savor spare prop kit.
    2. First aid kit
    3. Ethanol remover/stabilizer additive
    4. NOCO battery jumper

    Just getting into the boating world, and your channel is really helpful. I am looking at starting with a jet boat, likely a 2021 Yamaha 190. Can’t wait. In the meantime...your channel! 👍😄

    Great kit, mine is very similar. However I would add a multi-meter and extra fuses for (troubleshooting electrical issues), spare o-rings (if your hull plugs use them) with lube, and maybe some Teflon, electrical and duct tape to cover the random things.

    Prop puller would be the only thing i might add to a tool kit! Especially ok longer trips we have an extra prop in the truck!
    Usually just leave the extra prop at home but for longer trips we will bring it. Came in handy last summer! Never know what might happen!

    In my storage compartment I keep a mixing bottle
    Gear oil with the pump
    Lube for hydraulics
    2 stroke oil
    Sea foam fuel treatment
    Big set of socket wrenches
    Screw drivers
    Extra wiring with connectors
    Extra spark plugs
    Wire cutters
    Miscellaneous nuts and bolts
    Extra drain plug
    Plyers
    I keep pretty much anything I can think of for an emergency repair on the water if it's ever needed and it doesn't take up much space at all only one storage compartment. Its always better to have and not need it than to need it and not have it

    Can you do a video on pulling a wake surfer? Driving tips ect? And do you find that you need to add additional weight to a stock boat, like sumo bags or lead?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  4 роки тому +1

      Hi! That video is on our to do list! For the extra weight, totally depends on your boat. Some come with the option for Plug n Play bags, which I would definitely do. If you have something that is a little older, before surfing really took off, you may need some extra weight.

    Chantel, we are first time boat owners and all of your videos have been very helpful and easy to learn from. I got a tool kit just like yours now... next question, how do you roll with a first aid kit???//-- thanks- Chute, on Folsom Lake CA

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  4 роки тому

      Hi! Just a standard first aid kit works. I would make sure to have some kind of bandage that can be wrapped around a cut or gash - band-aids don't stick super well to wet skin!

    Have you ever been out and been stuck with a dead battery? What about including an emergency battery charger in the kit?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  4 роки тому

      Yeah, that would be a good addition to a kit for sure.

    Prop puller and an extra prop

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  4 роки тому +1

      Definitely a good call, especially for long trips. I don't bring one day to day since you have to pull the boat out of the water anyway to swap it, but will bring it if we are going on a trip somewhere.

    Do you carry a spare winch strap in case yours breaks?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  3 роки тому

      I don't, but you definitely could. I have ratchet straps in my truck that I could use in a pinch.
