I love the design. It would be great for other SmartHome tech companies to add some more design aesthetic to their products, especially those which are not intended to be hidden.

I need this in my life. But how were you able to add the Nature Home app to your phone? It looks like it's region blocked on the Apple App Store, so no Japanese pebble for me in the United Kingdom 😥

It should also be available on the US App Store, but in my case I created a new iCloud account for Japan, and downloaded it that way. You may have to be careful, however, as some have had issues with their original iCloud account as it pertains to things like Apple Music or other aspects of iCloud. I didn’t, personally, but some have.

Thanks for the review but really disappointed to see its limited integration with HomeKit. No TV Accessory, fan or anything else. Even the AC one is limited. Seems like Broadlink with homebridge kiwi-cam is still the best option.

Hi there, thanks for the detailed review. Does the device still work reliably via Matter (and/or the vendor’s app) if you block it from the internet?

@@Dane-ish according to the Matter standard, it should do, but I haven’t tested myself.

Please help me answer the question if it will shows not be able connect to device if I use this thing in Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings all at once after some days of use. My Nature Remo Nano has this problem on dual band mesh wifi

Hi, unfortunately I don’t have mesh WiFi, so I’m unable to tell you if the Lapis will work on your system. Even though Matter devices can work on multiple platforms at once, I wouldn’t recommend it, unless it was absolutely necessary, as it can cause delayed reaction times amongst other issues.

@homekitnews thank you for your reply, since I renovated my house, only Aqara Hub devices seem to work well on such setup

@@homekitnews Based on my research on Chinese websites, the ESP chip does not run well on dual bands, so I just make another discrete wifi in the same LAN with a band of 2.4Ghz only and it runs totally fine. However, thanks for sharing.

@HaruNg3729 I always have separate bands for 2.4 & 5.0GHz, as Aqara and Xiaomi products also have issues with combined networks. Thanks for the info.

Another con with this type of IR blasters is that there is no feedback from the device. So if you turn on the A/C on a wall-mounted controller, the state of the A/C will still read as 'off' in Homekit. I have Daikin A/C's and Sensibos throughout my house and wall-mounted controllers in each room also which makes the state in Homekit false half of the time. Far from ideal. One of these days I am going to have them all changed to Daikin wifi modules and run them over homebridge instead. With five units it will be quite an investment.

@@aadkszcn this is inevitable, just like people turning the power switch to a smart bulb. I recommend the Tado or Mysa options, as unlike the Sensibo, they have on-device controls. There is one device with an IR blaster that does update itself when a traditional remote is used, and that is the Aqara AC companion P3, although both the P3 and the AC unit need to in the same rough area for the original remote to trigger both.

@@homekitnews I have the Aqara P3 in my apartment and they do not update in Homekit if I use the remote. Maybe I set them up wrong...

@ it works for me, either when the AC remote is used, or my Tado.
