You can't beat top quality craftsmanship. What a beautiful belt.
Thank you, Chloe
I love the old-style military rifle sling. That's all I put on my rifles. Love that concept.
Thanks
This was so awesome! I bet everyone watching this video want's to go over and make a belt : )
I already have made 2 belts. One for myself and one for a co-worker's mom. The one for the co-worker's mom was based of Rey's belt from Star Wars. Belts are easy to make, but hard to make at the same time.
Thank you
As soon as I saw you put that hook on the belt I immediately thought of the rifle sling. Super high quality work gentlemen. I'm going to order one soon. The boys in the armory will be blown away at that belt.
Ever since I discovered your channel...im not obsessed with top quality shoes and leather goods. This channel and Rose Anvil makes my day. Since I started watching, I've acquired 5 pairs of Allen Edmonds...damnit
The only good advertisement in a youtube video is an ad for your own stuff. That is an interesting belt. I've never seen that type of buckle on a belt before.
I usually do not comment on anyone's video, but as an owner of a Cabinet Company, I have truly been in awe over your craftsmanship, your artistry, and it really helps that both of you gentleman are the type of people I would sit and drink a Gentleman Jack with! P.S. I am getting one of those belts, I am in aww over that plow horse latch and foot soldiers rifle belt clip....wish they made a shoe with a miniature version of it!
From one craftsman to another, thank you very much!
It's great to see you burnishing the edges with the wax. Makes all the difference in the world for finishing the belt and so many skip this step!
Thanks, Bobby
This is one of my favorite Trenton & Heath videos. The belt is a thing of beauty!
You’re very kind, Susan. Thank you.
I shall be getting one of these belts soon! Love the design and harness buckle and adjustability for size.
Aside from hot ironing the 'oatmeal' cork in the shoes, trimming/cutting the leather edge with that tool is probably my second favorite things to watch, so satisfying! Enjoyed the video as always.
A change of scenery so to speak. Awesome! Great content no matter what you guys show. Kudos again on UA-cam making a video with you guys!
That's a really cool design for a belt. I like the fact that the belt returns to the same length every time it's put on since the adjustment and buckle are separate. I build belts with a similar separate adjustment method but I use old seat belt buckles from salvage yard cars.
So hard to find such quality these days; something to appreciate. Be Safe
Good looking belt. I’ll check them out. Have a good weekend.
Thanks, Joaquin. You as well!
I could never wear a belt like that but it is beautiful, especialy the hardware. I like the way you have taken your influences and turned it into something original. You are real artists.
Thank you very much, Michael
what a great looking belt.....what a great addition to the channel!!!
Thanks, Brian. We’re hoping to offer all top quality products
Really great looking belt!
I love your videos it's so interesting to see how things are made and fixed!
Thank you very much!
I love belts and would have one of these in a heart beat. 👍Love the Craftmanship.
Thank you!
Very cool! Love the design!
I really love to have this belt. One day when i have the money i will order this belt. Living in India this is very very expensive for me. Truly the craftmanship is just amazing.
Love the sling hooks. I have my grandfather's m1 carbine with said sling from his service in ww2.
Love the 1907 take. Awesome guys.
those belts look amazing!
Thank you
I’m ready to see you guys build your own shoes from scratch. Now THAT is a product I would love to buy!
Love your channel! So relaxing to watch you create a piece of leather into a gorgeous belt with your handsome insignia.
Would love to apprentice with you but I’m sure you have a full list already.
Thank you as always. 👍😊
Thank you, Aimee!
That looks like a sturdy gun belt.
Love it!!
Love you guys 💞

That is really one beautiful belt !
Thank you for sharing !
❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️😊😊😊🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much!
Super cool!
That's a beautiful belt. First time seeing a buckle like that.
Thanks, Jason
Thanks for the cool video, Heath. I knew that you made sandals, but the belts were a surprise! Pretty soon, we'll all have Potter & Sons throughout our whole wardrobe. :) The belt looks great and really unique. I just ordered one. Can't wait to try it on. I so appreciate that you guys are always about top quality work, not matter what you're doing. And to date, 345,000 (yikes! That's half the population of Nashville!) subscribers agree with me! Take care and have a good weekend.
Thank you, dear friend for the kind words. Hope you like the belt. Have a fantastic weekend!
Thanks so much, Anthony! As you can attest, quality products will definitely last. We’ll keep beating that drum. 😉
@@TrentonHeath You’re 100 correct, my friend. My experience has been that quality products look better, feel better to wear, and last longer. Take care.
@@TrentonHeath Thanks. I’m sure I’ll love it. I’ve never seen one with a buckle like that, so it will fun to wear. I’ll let you know when I do!
Another great video !! Love the content gentlemen. One day I gotta buy something from you guy's.
Nice work!!
Thank you
Dang, gotta have one of these!
Dang!!! That is one great looking belt!!!
Thank you very much!
I forgot you guys make sandals. I've keep forgetting to check them out.
Thanks, Victoria
Its a beautiful homage. I bet Colonel Littleton in Lynnville TN loves this video & belt too.
Littleton isn’t far from us. We changed up a couple of smaller details on ours.
That is a totally awesome designed belt.
Thank you, Carl!
It’s beautiful!
Thanks, Kim
My local leather shop makes belts, best leather belts I've had in a while that wasnt a holster belt. Water buffalo so tough leather.
Wow! I kept thinking M1907 while watching the belt come together. Now, if I could coordinate a Mule Days and Guided Shop tour together it'd be sweet!
Come on over, Bruce!
Hi Heath. These are nice looking belts . I am going to have to check them out. Would probably go well with my Southern Polished flip flops. ; ) . Have a great weekend. : )
Thank you so much! 😉
Hi guys love your work want to ask you the sole in my boots cracked how can I fix it or send me to a previous link of your videos , thank you
What a deal on such craftsmanship! Is it suitable for dressier attire or more casual only?
Hi Trenton, Hi Heath, I love your videos and subscribed to your channel. I suggest you make a video on how to assess the quality of shoes while buying. The points an ordinary person (not an expert like you) can consider when wanna buy a pair of shoes. Thanks. Mehran.
I didn't even know you guys made belts Ill definitely buy a couple
Thank you very much, Brandon!
Think I know a harness when I see one
Glad to know you also like it rough and tumbled
👍
You should make me a leather Strop for my straight razors. I like horse, and English bridal, I never tried Coravan or Kangaroo yet
Nice! This is a belt that I would gladly consider getting hold of. Might just be doing that as well. I just wonder: if you were doing this without narrating and explaining, how long would it take you to make a belt like this?
Can you review the Brand Morjas
I went to your store for a shoe horn it read sold out, oh no lol. I like it because it looks big not small. I hope you get more
We have another order of shoe horns coming in this week. Hope it comes in!
@@TrentonHeath thank you 💞💐🙋🏻
This is great!
Being a guy, I have always felt a man should have at least one good, daily wear belt.
And I was blessed to snag a couple such items (one black, one brown) from a local craftsman. Made of this wonderful buffalo hide! Will last me a lifetime and more.
The belt looks fantastic. Hey, how about guitar straps too? That would be awesome. Thanks! 🤙
Thanks Heath 😊 Beautiful video as always!
I'm not really sure if I understood what the machine in 1:45 does though....
Thank you, Michael. The machine burnishes the edges of the leather.
That is a burnishing tool. It takes the rough cut edge of leather and slick it down and 'hardens" the edge to give a finished look
Hi Guys, did you ever though about making a video about some Carlos Santos. I know that there is a lot of brands, but maybe there is some chance ;) thank you
I’d also like to point out, your belts come in at great price for the quality!
Thanks, Drew
You mentioned rifle slings. Are there any carry holsters in the works?
Watch straps!!! You guys could use scrap leather for watch straps. I’ll order the first one!!!
Nearly scrolled past ... Didn't realise it was you.... lol Great looking belt by the way.
Thank you very much!
Can you review the brand Morjas
Can you order a belt to be made to a specific size?
Hello. I have a pair of alligator boots that I would like to deglaze and redye for a matte finish, but I'm unsure if it's safe to do so. Can I do so without damaging the exotic skin? And if so, what product would you recommend?
Have you ever tried doing the closed braid on a belt?
No, never have.
Shoes, Boots? I would love to see what you guys could do.
👍
I'd love to see you do a rifle sling for fine hunting arms.
WANT!!!!!
😉
@@TrentonHeath Order submitted this morning!!
Hey Trenton and Heath. Completely unrelated to the video but do you know if using shoes trees on exercise/mesh sneakers helps with durability? I've been using them after workouts when alternating between two pairs and it feels like it helps but I can't say for certain
Yes, it will definitely pull the moisture out, if you use cedar!
I hope you guys start doing wallets next.
👍
👍
Do you ship to the UK? If so what are the actual lengths of these belts? I wear either 34 or 36” waist jeans depending on manufacturer so I don’t know which size I’d need. 🤷🏻♂️😂
Is their a way to slide a holster onto this belt? It appears there is hardware on both ends, and I’d have to use a holster that had snap off loops. I’m wearing plain clothes for work now, and like to have nice leather gear for my sidearm, instead of the nylon and kydex most of the guys are carrying. This belt is beautiful. I might have to buy one even if it means buying some holsters that snap on.
I bought my Girlfriend a pair of your sandals last year for Valentine’s Day, and she loves them. I’ll probably have to order more sandals while ordering a belt.
I'm glad she likes them. As for a holster, it will depend on the loop. This belt is 1.25". You should be able to slide a holster over latch side of the buckle if the loop is generous.
@@TrentonHeath thanks for the reply. I’m glad you gave the width. Most of my holsters are set up for 1.5”, and need that to stabilize properly. I love your content!
Do you know when your men's sandals will be back in stock at Southern Polished?
Yes, we’ve moved all men’s sandals back to the US and they will be out the end of April or first of May. Thanks for inquiring.
@@TrentonHeath Thanks. I have a pair. I was going to order another because Summer's right around the corner. I'm guessing there will be a price increase since operations will be moved back to the US?
@@improvisewitme We’ll be offering two options. Our original styles will go up slightly, but we hope to have nubuck ones that will be around $65-$75
Could you make one bigger? Like a 45-54?
Definitely something we may look at.
Guys, when will the chestnut reserve belt be back in stock? I really want that one.
Accidentally put our Tod stock. You are good to go now! Thanks
@@TrentonHeath , I already bought it. Thanks allot guys this belt is so damn good looking!!
You guys make gun belts? Like leather with a reinforced kydex inside.
Not at the moment. However we will have a 1.5" double tongue Hunting Belt coming soon. Stay tuned.
@@TrentonHeath speaking of hunting, some nice leather back quivers would be nice too lol
That is a sexy belt!
I tried the coupon code “Belt10” but it’s no longer valid.
Are you guys located in Columbia, TN.????
I ask because I am a Columbia native. 5th generation.
I thought you guys were located in Memphis
Yes, in Columbia, in the old factory on James M. Campbell
I'm a bigger guy.. do you make them in larger sizes?
When will your men"s sandals be available
Hopefully, the end of April or first of May. Bringing them back to the USA!
Mmmmm M1907
I thought ALL belts were by nature "adjustable"??
😁
.
You are so handsome!
Thank you
I'll never understand why belts cost so much .
I can see these costing more, but the overpriced and underwhelming mass produced products not so much.
He made it look quicker and easier than it is too. The hardware he uses is far from inexpensive plus the time put into the measuring, cutting, alignment of the all those holes takes more time than you think.
@@rendajones7368 Not to mention that the leather itself isn't cheap if you're getting the good stuff. The quality of the leather they use is quite nice, so of course the price is going to be substantially higher. Plus these are handmade, so you're also paying an appropriate wage for an artisan maker (as opposed to the slave-labor wages paid to sweatshop workers in dangerous conditions making cheapo mass-market low-quality belts for the discount market) and they're made on a small scale, so they're paying "small scale" wholesale for all their materials (including the custom hardware) vs "buying cheap leather and fittings/findings by the shipping container" volume pricing.
Lot of work to make a high quality belt ( said video has been edited remember) plus leather is expensive, plus in a commercial enterprise you have overheads
@@rendajones7368 I made a few in shop class for fun in high school as long as you have the tools and a pattern you can make them fairly easy and fast .
@@pijnto I get that but I made some in shop class years ago for fun as long as you have the tools and a pattern it's fairly simple ,I understand you can buy crazy expensive leather horse leather and such but like I said I'll never understand 5he thousands of dollars price tags on belts unless the buckle is solid gold.
