What a lot of people don’t realize that when it comes to these extremely high preforming top tier planes it is going to start going with what the individual can do with the jet and their personal decision making skills when it comes to winning a dogfight more so than the slight performance differences between these planes.
Correct me if I’m wrong. But from what I’m understanding F-15J is based on F-15C but licensed build in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industry
The difference between USAF f-15c and JASDF (Japan Air Self Defense Force) is the J lack an air to ground weapons and Can’t carry AMRAAM
its based on the f15D and does not use AMRAAM it can use the AAM-4 that its basically a native fox 3 with similar specs

You are correct sir. I'm not up to date on the info, but when Japan started getting C models they were fitted mainly for air combat and ballistic missile defense. I'm not 100% sure on this info, but they also have slight modifications to carry ASAT missiles like the ASM-135, which had a successful "kill" on a proper satellite in 1985.
Edit: Oh, and also Japan has been modernizing their current fleet of F-15s almost to the actual american standards.

What’s weird is that the F-15A at the National Air Museum has the weirder looking nozzles that you see on the F-15C, so idk if the nozzles are correct in game or not.
My understanding is that the "feathers" are just on there as per the original design. But, they were later removed by the operators on all models. But technically, they're supposed to be there. Who knows tho, maybe later versions in WT will come without those
@@PanzerPaw the f15s we have are the F15A MSIP, which still didn’t have the feathers lol so Gaijin just messed up
Also the F15A MSIP was very very similar to the F15C, and the F15J we have is an early production version which was basically the same thing as the MSIP, so its a little wonky but not to difficult to understand once it’s explained :)

I’d give most American fighter to the F22 since nobody can legally own it outside the US but the F15 is definitely the most iconic fighter of the USAF and sees service across the globe in different countries
The japanese F15 will get AAM3 air to air missiles which are AIM9m‘s that can pull 40 g‘s and go mach 3,5 i think
they go mach 2.5 and have 1km less range than the 9m
40g IRCCM....
But still i think the R73 are slightly better
i hope we get more special ace combat esque set pieces for maps

If you turn on IAS (in air speed) then you can see the rip speed of each plane by the number turning red, although the rip speed will be up to 100kmh higher than when the value turns red, depending on the Gs you try to pull and what altitude you are at
The f15 we have is the f15a (msip) which is an "A" thats been upgraded to the C model thats mean it has the C radar C cockpits C and chaff and flares
Also the manavrouablity should be same on the A and C
They fixed the 11g wing rip it wasn’t a finished model and still isnt
Yeah the Draken can cobra and do some other wacky maneuvers but it also doesn’t have great engine power and each one has a missile loadout that fits its battle rating. The Gripen isn’t even in the game yet but they just nerfed it’s flight model and it’s longest range missile is an RB71. The Su-27 and J-11 don’t have they most insane maneuverability but they’re pretty good and on top of that have 10 missiles all of which are the best in their category or at least tied for best
with the radar just use the number pad if you have one, i have all my controls for 1-9 on the number pad and it makes it so much better
Yeah I had set up radar controls for my jets already but I didn't import them to the dev server install

BVR is already in the game it's just that most people don't know how to shoot past whatever the ACM mode range is!
Also because not many people want to babysit a missile all that distance. But when I said BVR, I really was referring to F&F active radar missiles too.
bar is a waste of time in air rb people have a easier chance to avoid ur missiles
@@ferrous3262 I don't think so I think if more people knew how to do it properly and understood how to defend beyond flying low you would see more people fly high and start shooting at longer ranges. Knowing how to gives you an advantage vs someone who has no clue how to.

Also, while the F-15J is completely identical to the the F-15C/D its functionally stripped down to F-15A/B status.
There really isn't that big of a difference between the F-15A and F-15C, the fins on the engines are called divergent nozzle external segments or those in the know call them turkey feathers and they were used to control the amount of thrust the engines produced however at mach speeds they would kind of just break and fly off the engine causing some real damage.
They were removed from the line of P&W F-100 engines shortly after this realization for both the F-15A and later models. However some countries that own F-15As still have them as a conventional nerf.
Other than that, the F-15C carries more fuel and has way more avionics, electronics, and more advanced computers for missiles and shit.
The F-15J on the other hand does not have these electronics. It doesn't have the AN/ALQ-135 ICW or EWS. However over the decades Japan has continuously modernized their fleet of F-15Js with things like synthetic aperture radar pods.
Currently Japan's fleet of F-15Js are being modernized to what is being called the F-15J Super Interceptor which is more of an interdictor with its heavy cruise missile launch capability.

The F15 was recorded surviving 14G without ripping a wing. Gaijin artificially nerfing US equipment is getting old. Especially considering this is my favorite jet fighter.
I hope warthunder makes low tier planes spawns closer or make the maps faster pace, and I hope they add in more random spawns so spawn camping is a little harder, but thats hard to make so someone wouldnt spawn next to an enemy
I still prefer my F16, guarded them IRL and they don’t fail me

They're gonna introduce the C model anyway, but I'm afraid it will require real caching $ to get it. Can't deny my love for this plane, so sexy yet so lethal in real life combat.
Edit: Oh! And the supercruise wasn't faster than Mach 1 both on the A, C & E models. I'm referencing a book from Jane's on the F-15 history for that info. In theory, if you reach the area between 35.000ft & 55.000ft, the real one could reach Mach 2.5, w/o bags obviously.
Edit 2: Yeah, the wings of the F-15 were pretty sturdy because it was made as an air superiority fighter, in other words, a lot of sustained G forces. Just remember that for every 9G turn, a crew chief cries somewhere.
So far no premium F14s so I think the F15 will be safe. I think there would be a huge backlash to these super popular icons being locked behind a paywall. I may be wrong tho..

Figured you would be the one to ask about this but how much ammo should I put in my tanks to avoid getting immediately blow up on the first shot
If you're in a tank that just gets destroyed in one shot by any other tank, just bring max but in a normal tank 20-31 is alright (unless that's the max amount of shells)
Bring the max ammo load, it adds protection
If it's got a ready rack, I just take that amount. Especially at top tier since that means it'll be in the turret rack. Otherwise, I start at 50% ammo and check the ammo placement in the tank after to figure it out.

The wings snapping is supper unrealistic and i know you said it was the game but in real life you could try and not snap the wings of the f15
It's definitely harder IRL because you're gonna struggle pulling those kinds of G forces regularly enough to do it. But apparently that's been fixed now so idk

So does that mean that sparrows may get a jump in lethality because of the Radar on it?
In a way, yeah I think so. But it doesn't get HMD or IRST (like the Su-27 does)

@@FXIIBeaveri’m not sure how the radar is on the F-15, but using sparrows with the F-16’s for me has been fantastic and i imagine they will have a similar lethality with the 15. the sparrow is overall a great missile, it just lacks data-linking which the 27ER has
@@Monarch_14 they are but the f-16 still seems to have issues locking on.
The f-15 radar made the aim 7s super deadly on the dev server for me personally, but quite a few people were telling me they thought the radar still sucked for some reason.

Possibly but I think it might have something to do with pulling high G with high ping too
