The freezer fan might be defective (the fan is usually behind a panel in the freezer; does it spin freely?) If the fan is okay, the thermostat might be defective ( compressor starts immediately after shutting down; unusually long or uneven compressor on-off cycles) If the thermostat is okay and the fridge still doesn't cool, then the compressor is faulty or the tubes are leaking gas (to check if the compressor system works okay, take out the freezer interior cover and touch the coils after 3-5 minutes of the compressor running - they should be noticeably cold).
I have a Kenmore Elite. It makes a sound like a ping pong ball going back and forth. It does this a few times a week or so. Do you know what it could be? Thx

I have a Kenmore too. It’s not even three years old and is working great except now I am getting that same click and it’s really starting to get annoying. I cleaned out a lot of dirt down by the compressor and fans and it did not help. The unit is still working good and is nice and cold but afraid this can get worse. Can this be a compressor problem or just hopefully a relay switch?
