Honestly. For all of Arty's flaws, it's important to remember that he's one of the most legendary names in the entire Brood War scene, and he got to where he did through raw passion and determination. Damn that sounds cliche but it's true.

Artosis is actually pretty good which is why he can win vs high rank/ maybe pro players, but he has a big problem with not covering the bad option so he loses to random cheese or huge risks because "no one should ever do something this bad" A good example is in tvp he will sometimes forget to scan his opponent's production when the game is really even, because it would be suicide for the toss to go carriers since he could amove his army and end the game if they do. So he doesn't scan, says (correctly) wow what an idiot when he sees 4 carriers, and then proceeds to lose to it.

Difficulty is relative. In SC2 its easier to have perfect macro, so micro is more important. However, since macro is a lot easier, and dps is so fast in SC2, comebacks are almost impossible. Brood War macro is much harder, as is the 12 unit limit, but your opponent has to deal with that too. The game is "slower" but makes individual unit micro much more impactful during fights/harass.
@@ArtosisTV You wouldn't even need a week to beat him at StarCraft 2. JinJin went 12-0 against a 4400 SC2 player after not playing SC2 for 8 years and not playing BW in a year. People that go to other people's chats and Trashtalk are usually much lower skill than their rank would imply and once you know they're trashtalkers you know they're going to play goofy fucking builds

Brian Scalabrine was arguably the worst player in the NBA at one point. A guy on the street trash talked him to a 1v1 basketball game. He destroyed the guy, completely wiped him. At the end he said: "I"m closer to Lebron than you are to me" LMAOOO this feels like one of those moments. When most of Twitch/reddit thinks Diamond rank is great at game in SC2, IDK how they think they can challenge anyone higher than D and have a chance. Especially when D1 in Korean sever in SC2 looks closer to master 2 NA player, and now turn that into BW where its 99% korean server.
Rank does mean something, but not as much as the guy in the chat thinks. Training in 1 good cheese for a few weeks can get you pretty high on the ladder, but that doesn't mean you are good at the game.

I got into an argument about the - constant ASCII spam, - constant bad-faith dono spam (donos with the sole purpose to make your stream's quality worse for everyone else watching, you know, like 6 minutes of saying the same emoji), - instant response by copy-pasta spam of anyone who critizises this clique's behaviour... And of course the response was to start copy-pastaing what I said. But I had good arguments and had already called out that copy-pastaing got old at least like 5 years ago, so they stopped that. Sc2 is harder. I’m S rank in brood war and I’m barely high platinum in sc2

To hear Artosis dreaming about getting financial backing by Microsoft to hold BW tournaments similar to the tournaments in AoE2, it's just... are you DELUSIONAL? Do you not see the reality around you? You've turned yourself into a person that is difficult for any company to work with. Other streamers actually take care of this shit to allow their stream to grow. They ban toxic people for spamming, they instantly skip bad donos, they get rid of toxic people from their community.
T90Official (AoE2) has a great, huge community, literally tens of thousands of people watching the tournaments he arrange. No wonder Microsoft are happy to work with him and his community. Microsoft would take one look at Artosis's stream, and deem it unfit to get connected to. 1k-2k viewers, who's stream is a constant barrage of repeating TTS letters or Yoshi scat porn, often with two different TTS systems talking over eachother, which the streamer seems to actually want in his stream for some reason.
I don't know, if Artosis wants that kind of atmosphere, sure. I just wanted to give my two cents on the subject. I'll keep watching scattered UA-cam clips where most of that shit is removed.

Would you invest in a streamer whose stream is dominated by a clique of guys whose main source of enjoyment is when they know they made the stream unwatchable to 90% of people out there.
Microsoft would never in a million years pick a streamer who allows such a community to arrange a BW tournament in the size of Hidden Cup ($50k prize pool). Thinking it doesn't matter is 100% delusional. Artosis's brand is unfit right now.
I understand Artosis wants the money from the donos. He obviously made the decision that it's worth scuttling his brand in the process. But who's to say the big 2-3 donos of his channel will still be here donating one year from now, five years from now, ten years?
Most streamers work on growing their stream and making it viewable to more people, not letting a handful of people ruin the experience for everyone who might be interested.
