I'm an old guy, from MN too. I grew up with Paul Simon, Leo Kottkey, John Prine, Jerry Jeff, Guy Clark, Townes Van Zant, Willie of course, Johnny Cash, et.al., all great song writers and this song, Reina, rates as one of the best. Everything about it is spot on. You and Toni are in some rare air.
I'm 72 and couldn't agree more Mark! This whole group of young singer songwriters are just great. A very bright future for all! Burlington Bill singer songwriter busking from the road and home!
That bass kicks ass! Thank you Andrew for all your hard work and wonderful playing with Elle and Toni over the years. You are seen and heard and loved! :)
I love this song. ❤❤❤ I would sure like to have the tab for it, so I can strum it on my ol’ 4-string while sipping a bourbon on a Friday night. Hint, hint. 😊
It's like Piano Men. Only you feel it. I probably said it before. Was amazed by your "presence" in Montréal. Was the real deal. The real Reina, Tony and friends. Maybe tired from the road but "here and there". Honest and true. Or maybe it was because I really needed that Tuesday night. Doesn't matter. Thank you.
@@backwashjoe7864 Glad I could help ;) It is often how we loose our loved ones isn't it? Not one giant gesture, but a steady, gradual lack of attention and interest, leaving them behind like a forgotten pen.
RdC: "One of my favorite things in the world is touring-around and playing to live audiences, friendly faces in real life - that's so much better to playing to pixels on a screen - although I enjoy that too. Yeah the energy, I love everything about it. The only thing I don't like is losing all my shit in all the cities I go to" (11/30/2022 Caffe Lena)
My curiosity got the better of me and to those that want to know: Garage is a biannual contemporary art and fashion magazine, this issue was from Sept 2013 and the model is Adriana Lima....Aloha
I had to fire up the time machine to go back a few months an listen to the Duet with Josh after this. I'm glad I don't have to choose. I'm a greedy sob, so... keeping both of them. 👍
"The center can't hold"... I hope you gals will forever dedicate to the DIY/Indie (aka "punk") ethic! It's been so far, so good since I discovered "Tuesday Mornings" such a while-ago! 'Chelle, Toni. (and friends!) Y'all PLEASE continue being the PROOF that signing a "deal" with a major-label is a BAD idea!
We need new radio stations. We need to get rid of all the crap that is controlled on these stations and flush them down the toilet. And put these contemporary artists back on who know how to write music and who's talent needs to be honored. We need music like this to bring us back to life on the goddamn radio. If life would ever slow down again these would be the stars that shine..... Each place I see takes a piece of me but you have my love at home. This is what it would look like if music was restored to sanity....
I appreciate all the work and exhaustion that goes into the life of a performer, especially when they travel. I have spoken with musicians who have told me, "I just want to sleep on someone's couch and eat a home-cooked meal." For the fan, it's a couple hours for a show. And people hesitate at spending $20 for a CD, but we'll drop $40 for over-priced beer in a heartbeat. Thank you for all that you do to bring us your music.
The recording of this you did with Josh Turner became my favorite of your songs as soon as I heard it, and also turned me on to his music. Thanks for sharing another version with us.
This is such a great song about musicians and their feelings on the road. I heard it with just Josh Turner and Reina a few months ago and it was fantastic. Now the video with the whole band, just as fantastic. I downloaded the lyrics and will sing the song at the next barbecue party around the campfire. However, I had to change the key because of my singing.
This stacks up with the great sick-of-the-road songs ("So Far Away," "Homeward Bound," "Turn the Page"...) Not surprised y'all can play it with feeling, at this point :-) Thanks so much.
Very true. After the first couple lines I was thinking "heard this song before". Then they just took it to a really unique, beautiful (and even humorous) place. GREAT song!
😌 Thank you for this. Capt Kev captured the mood & made it feel like we were there in the room, for those of us that couldn’t get to a show this year. Jeff & I genuinely miss seeing your faces in person & soaking up your insane talents. ✌🏽
I REALLY LIKE THAT SONG! Your voice is quiet, and I would love to hear the low notes you're hitting, so if I could make a suggestion, please turn up the mic volume on your mic, on ALL songs. Let's hear that voice of yours, loud and clear! Thanks for the entertainment.
OMG, you two are good. Starting with a few sweet bars from Toni's guitar, then Reina starts singing. It doesn't get any sweeter than this. May you always make music.
I love this song it was great as a duet with Josh and amazing with Reina , Toni , Nate and Andrew. I was in a few pubs in Dublin in June could have asked about your credit card LOL!!
I literally just learned of you 15 minutes ago with the Roswell song on Facebook, which made me look for more of you on UA-cam, and now here I am with goosebumps after watching THIS. Wow, you are all fantastic!! Reina, your lyrics and folk style fills a void in my heart that needed your music. Thank you and may all your dreams come true.
Was introduced to these amazing artists at the start of the pandemic and have been binge listening ever since. Flew 3000 km to Montreal to catch a show. worth every penny!
Love it. Happy birthday Toni. I saw you guys in Columbus Ohio and loved the show. Thank you Toni I've become a better guitar player since I discovered RDC about a year ago. Reina your rhythm playing is so strong and clean, the pulse of the band for sure. Thanks for sharing guy's.
Such a great melody, beautiful lyrics and of course astonishing guitar play by Toni. Hope to give you a new coat when you visit Amsterdam in September !
"I left my pick in Reykjavik" is the best rhyme.
I miss Reykjavik. Great song!
Reykjavik: kind of hard to pronounce...
Cute. Somehow I thought these were all real experiences so maybe the Euro Tour did not get to Iceland.
😊
My credit card's in a Dublin bar
She is our own Bob Dylan.

Toni’s fingers dancing on the fret board
Reina del cid is very acttractive young lady and she is cutest girl from mikeblack
This is as good a road song as has ever been written.
If there’s a better word than Beautiful , that’s what this was to me.
Fargo should be very proud of you, Reina. And, Toni's fans are legion, of course. The guys aren't bad, either. Ha.
Nice one. Did not find your coat but just folded my Reina T-shirt and put it in my closet. Greetings from Amsterdam.
It's like Piano Men.
Only you feel it.

Rather Stanger, your very good song looks like German one... When a version in deutch for Munchen beer festival ?
Very nice song! Sounds great. I will be the one who will look for your coat in Amsterdam tomorrow! 🎼Regards from The Netherlands🎶
The change from leaving stuff, to losing stuff, and ultimately applying it to her love.. Gets me every time.
Thank you for pointing this out! Now the song is even sadder and grander for me. :)

Happy Sunday Morning!
This is a beautifully written song- it could have been written by any world class songwriter you can name. Beautifully executed too. Wonderful.
Oh.....my.....god! So good....so very, very good. Thank you for being you.
I had to fire up the time machine to go back a few months an listen to the Duet with Josh after this. I'm glad I don't have to choose. I'm a greedy sob, so... keeping both of them. 👍

Wow! And what you've lost in addition was you bassist in the first part of the video 🙂
Great song! Thank you!
Also add my Happy Birthday to Toni (I turned 79 today). Great rendition ( adds so much depth to your Josh Turner duo). ❤
Great song, greetings from Amsterdam.
Thank you for reminding us each week that good music isn't always about distorted guitars and mumbled lyrics.

This could be a Country Western #1 song by the right artist.
The recording of this you did with Josh Turner became my favorite of your songs as soon as I heard it, and also turned me on to his music. Thanks for sharing another version with us.
Always loved this one when you played it with Josh, but this version with the "full band" is just on another level altogether. Outstanding!
My, that gal can make a song come alive. Great going RdC.
Breakfast in Japan with Renia and Toni and of course the rest of the band ,great start to the day! Thank you all!!
Jo and I are putting a TON of positivity, security, safety and all good energies around you both for your tour through Europe. ✌🏻 out!
Rachel should consider getting an air tag for all the stuff she’s losing. Really helps retrieve them

The camera work on this is top notch! Lovely song. Really enjoyed.
Writing is where the action is in the making of music - I don't care what Roger Daltry says.
Great song. Rachelle. Always a fan. Cheers.
I lost my mind in Saigon, but I found it again - in Japan. And now I'm a better man - even though I lost my love at home.
I literally just learned of you 15 minutes ago with the Roswell song on Facebook, which made me look for more of you on UA-cam, and now here I am with goosebumps after watching THIS.
