I struggled pulling the old desiccant tube (dryer) from the evaporator. I’m buying a pair of SKINNY needle nose pliers to try in the morning.

Always put refrigerant oil on the white Retention Cap Oring - or you'll be sorry. The seal could micro tear or bunch up, then leak. Also, I would grind away a small semi circle of that sheet metal so the cap can easily be removed and reinstalled.

My bad I did that part off camera. You'll see on clip 14:01 it's got the pag oil on it. Thanks for mentioning that. Because someone would just put it in with no lubricant.....

You can use the head of a metric bolt to insert into the plug, and pliers on the threaded end of the bolt to loosen the plastic plug. No need for that specialized tool.
