Bad Pokemon or Bad Player: I say, it's bad player. Talonflame is squishy but possess high attack and mobility, yet players love to dive into unnecessary fights or just not farming enough exp😢.
Agreed, the player base just doesn't know how to play Talon well enough. Also want to add that alot of people who love backcapping playstyle and never participating in fights seem to love playing Talon as well hahaha

Having a bad moment as a usually high skilled talonflame is literally so punishable it's insane
Isee so many lane talons, already bad but then they repeatedly dive the other teams goal and never farm.

Fingers crossed when Jolteon arrives, it's a speedster. A few other pokemon I'd love to see in the role are pokemon like Salazzle (focus on inflicting status and short burst damage), Starmie (fragile but weirdly evasive, i.e. has strange movements in its attacks to move it in and out of striking range), and Serperior (though there's a lot of cool directions to take Serperior)
All good ideas, I think Serperior would be nice as there's not much 'snake' kind of pokemon in the game aside from dratini/dragonair until it evolves to dragonite. Would love to see for example Onix digging through walls and constricting opponents

I'd be very happy with all kinds of Serperior builds... a Defender with some attacking potential, esp if you Stack (reflecting its signature HA), a speedster harasser (what Greedent should be lmao), or an All-Rounder with a good emphasis on its defense and speed. Attacker would be fine I guess lmao
Starmie could make a very fun ranged speedster/jungler
For a Speedster, How about Crobat? It's a Genuinely Fast Pokemon in the games, and Maybe they can give it a sort of Blood Sucking Mechanic that basically Boosts Damage and Life Steal numbers? This would be offset by stupidly low Health though.
Agree, but another big one is Beedril, I originally thought all rounder because bee's stats are nicely rounded, but with moves like poison jab, twineedle and drill run, definitely a speedster
I feel you on crobat but life steal / vampire mechanics are already in the game with buzz swole. I'd love to see something we haven't seen before; like a pokemon digging under the stadium. I'd lose my mind if I saw Diglett get added to the game.

Pheramosa, super squishy and fast as heck. Give it the beast boost ability so if it gets a kill it’s attack or something like that is raised, maybe temporarily or as a stacking type of mechanic with a limit like the attack weight
Oh my god id love this, ive wanted more UBs in the game since Buzzwole was released. Xurkitree or Blacephalon could work as an attacker, Guzzlord or Celesteela for defender, and maybe Nihilego as a support? They'd probably be nuts balance-wise but hopefully not be so bad that they fit into Timi's broken legendary mindset.
It'd be a great counterpart to Buzzwole's bulky, bursty, stun heavy playstyle! I like the idea that beast boost gives it a temporary move speed boost (maybe like 5 seconds?) and resets it's cooldowns on K.O. to have a more high risk, high reward, combo heavy playstyle!
Cacturn would be a cool Speedster, i could see him as an Ambushing Stalker with lots of dashes!
I even have a conceptual moveset for him!😊
Ninjask would be a crazy Speedster. Baton Pass would be sweet if it could pass speed boosts and attack bonuses to teammates, while also dealing hits of its own.
Not a speedster but a good support: Galvantula. We need a character with a big cage unite, and Galvantula setting a huge web is PERFECT for that. We could also use another electric type.

Passive- Compound Eyes: Gain 30% increased critical hit chance and critical hit damage when out of combat.
Boosted- Every second attack is boosted dealing 10% increased damage, and marking the target with a thread reduces their movement speed by 15% for 5 seconds (can stack 2x for 30%) and marked targets are always revealed even when stealth.
Move set #1- String Shot: A line attack that stuns the target for 1.5 Sec. (Doesn't deal damage or break out of combat effects)
Sticky Web: Leave upto 3 invisible web traps that stuns the first enemy that steps on it for 0.5 Sec and slows the target by 50% for 3 seconds (Doesn't deal damage or break out of combat effects). Upgrade you can now have upto 5 web traps and reduced cooldown.
Electroweb: Create a long cone attack that nets and pulls enemies toward the user dealing two instances of damage once on the initial impact and again after yanking them in. Upgrade Heals the user 50Hp per instances of damage (Ex: 2 enemies get caught creating 4 instances of damage healing Galvantula 200Hp)
Move set #2- Fury Cutter: Guarantee hit attack that has the user leap onto an enemy and damages them. (Can criticality hit)
Lunge: (Can criticality hit) Guarantee hit attack that has the user leap onto an enemy damages them then you get 1 sec to aim the attack onto a second enemy. Upgrade reduces targets damage by 20% for 3 Sec.
Leech Life: The user dashes a short distance and shoots 3 missile attacks in the direction behind the user each missile deals moderate damage and heals the user equal to the damage. Upgrade adds 2 missiles & increases the first 3 missiles range by 50%.
Unite Move- Web Wrap Electrocution: Grab(1.5Sec) and Stun(5Sec) an enemy dealing tick damage every 0.5 sec the target is wrapped and healing the user equal to the damage.
Galvantula is my favorite Pokemon, and my personal bias aside we need more Electric types and Pokemon with unique body shapes in Unite so I think it'd be a generally good choice overall.
I would probably do the moveset a bit differently personally though. While the base attack string would probably have to be physical since all speedsters are (although I'm not sure if it's a rule that speedsters *have* to be melee?) I feel like more range / special attacks fit Galvantula better. So I'd stick to traps and ranged attacks more than the physical ones for moves, and have a balance of electric and bug attacks more than leaning heavily towards bug only. First move would be a trap, second move would be a ranged damage attack, something like that.
I also have an idea in my head that it'd be cool for the second attacks to interact with the traps somehow. Like, maybe if your second attack is Bug Buzz, it sends off one shockwave towards where you're aiming and a second wave towards your trap, so you could either double up on one target for big damage or spread attacks in two directions in a team fight? And maybe the other second attack is Thunder, which likewise has one ground-AoE that you can aim directly and one that falls on your trap? Or maybe not an AoE, maybe Thunder would just be a straight single-target attack that hits one enemy you aim at and the enemy closest to the center of your trap, while Bug Buzz would be the more area-based option.
Of course, that does limit you to only 1 trap and I do like your idea of at least one of the moves having multiple traps, so maybe that functionality would only tie in to one of the traps, while the other would allow multiple traps but no pair mechanic? Or a much toned down pair mechanic, like instead of a whole additional attack aimed at the single trap, for the multi-trap he traps just pulse a debuff when you use your second attack?
I really like the idea of Galvantula being a trickster more than a straight brute force killer since it's not exactly a powerhouse stat-wise, so more moves interacting with each other in different ways would definitely play into that.
@ElecManEXE I like your idea of it being the second SpAtt Speedster (Gengar). I could easily see it having basic attacks similar to Pikachu or Goodra. The reason I went heavy on the bug moves was because I was imagining how it would be in the anime rather than core series, but i do like the idea of a bug build and an electric. I'm going to stick to the leach life if you want to change its name to Pin Missile I wouldn't mind but I really wanted to show off tarantula vibe by having it shoot hairs/runaway at the same time maybe a blind instead of Life steal and IMO would combo well with electro web its signature move. I love your idea for Thunder as a single target short ranged Mewtwo ult it would combo super well with sticky web as it would likely crit due to compound eye. Alternatively, I could see your bug buzz move rename Discharge.

I added thread to both web moves, and I edited the following.
Sticky web now stuns for .75 sec instead of .5.
Electro web heals an additional amount equal to 30% of the damage delt.
Move set #2- Leach Life: The user dashes a short distance and shoots a missile behind the user. The missile deals moderate damage and heals the user equal to the damage.
Elecro Ball: (Can criticality hit) Guarantee hit attack that has the user leap onto an enemy damages them then you get 1 sec to aim the attack onto a new target. Upgrade +20% critical hit chance on additional leaps.
Pin Missile: The user dashes a short distance and shoots 3 missile attacks behind the user each missile deals moderate damage, heals the user by 10% max hp on a hit & blinds the target for 0.75 sec. Upgrade adds 2 missiles & increases the first 3 missiles range by 50%.
Unite Move- Web Wrapped Discharge: Grab & Stun an enemy (4.5 Sec) the target is threaded. Deal tick damage every 0.75 sec to all threaded targets and heals you equal to the damage, applies threaded on every tick of damage.
QOTD: Weavile would be such a cool speedster to get, love that cool dude

Probably gonna happen at some point. Jolteon is my favorite Pokémon, I’d love to see it as a speedster in the game.
I think Jake actually made a short about it, but there’s a guess floating around that they’re probably saving the final three eevolutions for the 3rd anniversary.
Either they’ll be released all at once like mewtwo was for this year (you know, 3 eevees for 3 years), or it’ll actually be one eevee that can switch between the three (which would be pretty cool), kinda like scizor having two evolution options.
Honestly I'd like to rapidash in the game it's moves could have a charge where the more you charge it the further to moves or jumps to pounce the the other team

Talon buffs are great. Brave bird/aerial ace can finally do its job
Revavroom would be a fun speedster. What says speed more than an actual car. And we could definitely use more Poison types in Unite.
I kind of envision it working similar to Dodrio in that its very encouraged to just move all the time, but maybe instead of having boosted attacks and moves tied to movement, it's defense instead. Maybe its Filter ability reduces damage taken while moving and you have to balance your basic movement and your moves and attacks to remain in motion to keep your defense up.
Some move ideas could be Smog or Poison Gas, a dash that leaves behind clouds of poison that harm and debuff enemies, Shift Gear as a buff move that gives you Unstoppable for a few seconds but also makes you completely unable to stop (you'll just keep moving in the same direction if you let go of your controls), and of course its signature move Spin Out, which would be a high-risk move that drags enemies along but forces you to come to a full stop with a large speed debuff afterwards, powerful but you better use it in the right situation to secure a kill or put enemies in position for your team to follow up.
I think yanma into yanmega for a speedster would be pretty awesome, passive as speed boost where every level you get x percent more movement speed or something like that?
I would love to see Meowth/Persian as a speedster. The Kanto version. Payday could cause enemies to drop Aeos energy. Persian could have a Bite that Flinches (roots enemy for like 1 - 1.5 seconds) and Slash that can crit at a high rate.
I know this is a more popular mon, but golisopod? Its ability could be something like if it reaches a certain threshold it instantly goes back to base (probably on a very long cool down). Would be cool to see mechanically, especially if it had first impression be like a high risk high reward move.
Ooo First Impression as a move who's cool down only resets out of combat would be really cool for a speedster. Even if they didn't want to go crazy, emergency exit just giving you an increased move speed when running away from enemies could be cool.
A defender Golisopod would be really cool, probably not a speedster though since it be slow.

Defender because of its amazing defense and attacks stat, but if emergency exit works the way I’m guessing it does, it might work as an all rounder instead, like reverse buzzwhole (its ability forcing it to run away rather than the other way around).
Flygon can be a great speedster. A popular pokemon plus a great design and it can have a fun moveset.
Other options can be crobat(an all time mon), jolteon(another eveelution? Why not? Also we still don't have any of the original eveelution.), deoxys or genesect or darkrai or latios/latias for a legendary/mythical, or sceptile as the first starter speedster.
Talonflame is actually one of my comfort picks. I'm close to my first badge with it :)
I won like 4 matches continuous with talon flame today. It's might actually be one of the best Pokemon for scoring goals and evading enemy Pokemons easily, also killing attackers is easy with talon.
spragels lucario is doing really well with slowsmoke now. power up punch moveset with amp, weakness and attack weight.

Yeah, my pet peeve against some Talonflame is, many use Fly to escape exclusively, not engage. Fly is actually a powerful AoE nuke, and that's why it's such a shame when Talons don't enter the battle with Fly. Not saying that they should enter a fight before their defender (always let your defender go into a fight first-- unless you're confident that you can delete your target/win the brawl/escape using Flame Charge), but this type of Talonflame literally won't use Fly offensively (unless they spot someone with low health mid-escaping/flying away).
And yes, this type of Talonflame is exactly the type who rather fly away from a Ray fight to back cap instead. Either the fight goes well without their involvement, or they fly away as soon as things look bad. They are the reason why Talons have such a bad name in solo queue.
(In case there's any doubt about using Fly as an opening nuke, just go to unite-db and look-- you'll see that Fly does so much damage, not to mention having a respectable AoE-- you're better off using Flame Charge as an escape/disengage move instead.)
I think a cool speedster they could add to the game would be Centiskorch. Huge shot in the dark but I love Centiskorch and think it would be a super fun pokemon and add another bug type to play
Toxicroak speedster would be so dope! Need more poision mons in this game.
Maybe add ninjask for speedster? Since i sometimes use ninjask as a setup and then baton bass to my other bulkier mons
Imagine it's passive has Shedinja fallowing behind it and repeats everything it does on a delay! Think Ice Climbers in Smash Bros!
I would absolutely love to see Lokix implemented in this game at some point and I feel he’d make a really good speedster. Ive even made a whole fan concept for it
I think swealow is an fitting pick. He could have guts as ability and a build based on dealing more damage the lower his hp is. not to mention he is very fast.
I have 4 speedsters for you Arcanine, Serperior, Weavile, and maybe Milotic. Arcanine is literally the definition of speed
I would like to see lurantis as a speedster boosting through the map with petal dance and Xscissor.
I've seen a bunch of people suggest Scolipede as a Speedster, but what about its counterpart? I'd love to see Leavanny as a support/assassin character, getting in and doing some form of harassment like slowing or restraining before getting a burst of damage to finish them off. We already have Gengar in that same vein but I think it'd be cool
I think noivern would be an awesome speedster. Imagine a special atk speedster that drops literal boom bursting beats.

Cool speedster imo (which I’m surprised isn’t in the game yet) would be Crobat imo (or Beedrill/Ninjask, bc bug types are pretty cool)
Kind of avoiding the question of the day...but I think they should add Kingambit line(hopefully a defender or an all rounder), probably hight offense, and endurance, but very low speed and non-existent support, but probably decent scoring
Excadrill and Froslass could both be cool as speedsters, but I feel like they could also work as an all-rounder and supporter respectively. I could see Excadrill's Dig being somewhat of a Gengar unite, but without the invisibility. Froslass I think would be cool as a support, but not as a healer. I could see it having moves like Blizzard or something that could screw with enemy vision! Snow Cloak on top of that could make for a cool and unique support!
I main Talon and Crustle. Two incredibly different Pokémon. I always jungle with Talon, if someone else wants jungle, I don’t choose Talon. Because of how squishy it is, to play it effectively and consistently, I find that you need to jungle for the extra exp and the buffs. Usually run flame charge and fly. It definitely takes a bit of skill to play well in the master rank, but I really like Talonflame. The best part about it is that all four of its moves are pretty viable. Can’t really go wrong. It’s early level moves are also pretty decent.
Change Crustle for Blastoise and that's me 100%.
@@clemente3966 I play Blastoise a little. It was my favorite starter growing up, so it’s a nostalgia thing, but out of the kanto starters, Venusaur is probably the one I find most fun to play.

Same from when a Kanto starter was given during the story in X and Y, I chose it to make some coverage with my Fennekin (I always chose the fire starter before that). And Masters EX happened, and Blue and Blastoise were OP walls during the time a bit after their release, so I got to appreciate more and more.

We need more beloved og pokemon from the old games pokemon fire red, pokemon emerald, pokemon soul silver, pokemon platinum, and black and white 2. They had so many cool dope pokemon that me and most people nostalgically love. And definitely fossil Pokemon

A good speedster for the game? I've been wanting Sceptile for a while, and it would be PERFECT for the role of an ambush beast at range and close range. Kind of a mix between Zoroark and Leafeon

i would do anything for a weavile speedster that takes ques from his pokken moveset 😭 that was my main and hes SO FUN, the mobility abd ice stuns would be SO CRACKED in unite too
I'ma say it. Bad player situation when it comes to Talonflame. This bird has the undisputable best move in the game in Fly. Fly forces a game of chicken that Talon wins every time. This move combined with gale wings lets this fried chicken hunt you down that you can't outrun and get one shot when he lands. If you blow your movement abilities or Eject Button Talon can either (A) chase you down anyway and ohko you or (B) disengage and repeat the scenario with its generally short cooldown but this time you don't have your used Eject Button to escape. Talon can also choose anywhere from a 4 second window to drop and with how fast it falls, yeah good luck reacting to that drop. Most of the time Talon can just drop on you before you have a chance to blink and by the time you do it's already over. The fact that Talon can choose when to drop to force this near unwinnable game on opponents is absurd. If Talon is caught out of position he can literally use Fly to escape and cross walls that other mons cannot and/or catch him in time. But what makes Fly busted is that Talon goes UNTARGETABLE which is top 5 broken mechanic in any competitive game. Anything you know about how moves work, the hitboxes on them, the damage output, pretty much anything, does nothing to an untargetable target. In general the insane ability to go untargetable usually comes at a steep cost. Examples in this game can be mons like Absol needing its unite move which is a commitment, Charizard and Tsareena need their unite moves and a target, Pika and Zeraora need their moves and a target, Zoroark needs to land the full Night Slash combo which requires at least one target and only lasts about a second, Cinderace has Feint which only lasts about half a second, and Shedinja Doll takes up your held item and locks you in place. I'm pretty sure I'm missing some but the point is that there's a cost to going untargetable. Talonflame, on the other hand, literally just has to click one button at any point of the game and gets the full benefits of going untargetable for up to 4 seconds and can travel anywhere he pleases. That's it. This move is obscene. The most oppressive part of this move is that it's uncontested pressure at the Regis and Ray. Talon can just click Fly, hover over a weakened objective, and just land with massive damage and take it for free. And if you say "Oh just bait out the Fly by stopping the objective and let him land" is the counterplay, but if the bird's team is there and also competing they're not gonna let you do that and take down the boss mon that Talon can secure. That's pretty much it. A move that is uncontested pressure, free chase and escape move that can burst you down and cross walls, untargetable for 4 seconds which you can't do anything about. Fly is the best and easiest move to use in the game. If you ever lose with this bird it's on you. LOSING WITH TALONFLAME IS A CHOICE!

One thing that sucks with talon is his boosted auto. I hate that you can miss your target with it.
Midway answer how about gyrados, a fan favorite and it would be unique considering there are too many attackers
I had a Talon last week that grabbed center first time and never went back, and stayed on the enemy side the entire time, doing nothing basically, kept getting KO’d, kept rushing on its own, never helped in team fights, horrendous all around, like “what team?”

The winrate is base don top 10k players. I play a lane talon that yes scores but dives backline. I can drop an Inteleon or Mewtwo alone so long as they don't have a defender or supporter cc chaining me.
Scoring is a plus, koing is the goal. Buddy, score, atk weight.
Speedster idea: Weavile the fan favorite speed demon.
*CROBAT or PIDGEOT as next speedster would be so great*

Raticate speedster would be dope
