22chachalaca well so far this car has been reliable. But the previous Mini Cooper she had, oh boy. The whole manual transmission failed and had to replaced at 6,000 miles on it. Dealership called back and said that it wasn’t her fault. Apparently during assembly they forgot to tighten a “dent pin?” which came lose and caused all hell to go down while she was driving home. Then it had odd electrical problems that popped up but would disappear soon after. I guess typical British engineering for ya. But when everything was working it’s a blast of a car to drive.

A couple observations after driving one... The rear seats really do lay down almost flat. Tons of trunk space for a compact car. The shifter paddles are oddly short throw, but the auto stick is great fun to flick. 2021 has a very informative and easy to read LCD gauge cluster, and stick may become an option again. 4wd eliminates the torque steer. Many cars come with adjustable dampers, which is cool at this price point. The best seats are the cloth insert option.

because electric cars are so cheap and available! /sarcasm as much as i'd love this to be the case, where i live, basically the only company that sells electric cars is Tesla. rarely you'll see a Bolt also, they could make an electric Clubman lmao, would it be so prehistoric to you then?
Electric cars are all fun and games till you’re stuck with limited range with long charging times whereas a ICE car can be refuelled in an instant. Electric is drab, boring and soulless with no manual options either. Go figure.
I like that you drive these SUVs. But maybe you could drive more sedans like the Accord, Camry, Impala, Corolla, and other sedans made by car companies. A lot more truck test drives would be good too.

Driven the 1.5 3pot, it's quirky and fun to drive, but the view out the back is like driving a panel van.
