When so many of the new cars, these days, have an entirely uninspiring dash design,...the Mini Cooper does stand out from the boring crowd.

Well, this actually the old dash design now that the 2025 F66 and J01 Mini have been unveiled.
New Mini design apalling. Minimalistic so many iconic features eliminated.
That color looks good in the sun 👌
The mini Cooper and Cooper S use a 7 speed dual clutch or a 6 speed manual, the countryman and clubman AWD models currently use an 8 speed auto.
The prices on 3-4 year old lightly used Cooper S Hardtops always make this a tempting choice… then the voice of reason kicks in 😂
The newer ones with a B48 are a million times more reliable than the N14/N18 engines.
Still an arm and a leg for repairs and maintenance but atleast you won't be repairing it as often.
I have a pre-LCI and I don't regret it one bit. Fantastic car.
My only issue is the ride is a tad bit harsh but my car doesn't have the optional adaptive dampers
@@Asdasty I agree. I myself drive a '20 LCI F56 Cooper S Manual and it is heaps of fun and they are getting cheaper.
The B48 is a rock solid engine, but it just barely fits in the tight engine bay - thus doing repairs on these is a bit cumbersome, and combined with OEM prices for parts & labor to keep warranty, it sure is a bit pricey. But that's what you pay for a british BMW ;)
$39k is crazy for an S. I remember shopping for one with a buddy exactly 10 years ago. Plenty of them were under $30k.
It's probably fully specced. Some people go crazy with the options.
39k is worth the equivalent to 30k 10years ago. So, the price has actually stayed the same.
give it 2 years it’ll go down 15k
Due to inflation, $30k 10 years ago would be the equivalent of $39k now, so nothing changes. What's more, you paid the same amount of money for a car with less technology than the actual one.
I remember a base model 2 door cooper s being $27k pre-Covid.
All cars have increased in price since Cvd but people love to complain about Mini prices in particular 🙄 the cars in these price points/competitors are much less fun to drive and use lesser interior materials. I love cheap cars and I wish they were cheaper, but Mini is priced according to the market
All cars have gone up in value retrospective to the value of the dollar. For example, a 30k MINI in 2014 is the equivalent to 39k. So the price has actually stayed the same. Another example is an S-Class, in the year 2000, was price around 75k. In today’s money that would be 137k which is equivalent to the current gen S-Class.
The problem is that wages have stayed relatively flat compared to the price of goods and products 😢. Simple inflation Econ101. We shouldn’t complain about the rising prices, but rather that people aren’t getting paid enough.
Ever heard of inflation?
Cute Ride😍😘🚗!
