Hi my friend. It looks super nice. Thanks for the shout-out🙏. Looking forward to your next videos and when you get the 8 inch version. Take care and have a great day. Greetings from Norway😃
No worries. It’s guys like you who inspire others like me to get hands on. There are so many pros on UA-cam and I enjoy their videos but there is something special about watch guys like you. No fancy setup or film equipment. Just the video content and information that is really useful to us mere mortals.
I was pretty sure the wood grip will be more heavier than the plastic grip ! (even with the hot glue) Happy to see than the silver and the brass cartridges are the same I will see tuesday when i will receive my 3" 4.5mm if there is or not an adjustable hop-up, i see no videos talking to that but in the descriptions there is an adjustable hop-up Thanks a lot ! And yes, the wood grip is the really final touch who was missing to this m29, now it is perfect 👍
Hi, the wood grip did come in a little heavier than the plastic one (without the hex key) from memory but very little in it. Also have to bear in mind that I had to hollow out a lot of the wood and the plastic one is larger. Anyway, the weight doesn’t really play I part to be fare. Yes I could fill in areas of the wood to make it heavier but I don’t see the point. It’s very well balanced. Just the feel of holding it with the wood grip is totally different. So much nicer. Don’t even compare it to that of the white gripped trust me one! That was like holding a brick!! You won’t find a hopup on the 4.5mm model. That’s only in the 6mm airsoft version. It will have the hopup hole in the top of the barrel but there won’t be anything inside.
@@WaxmaxHi, i just received today Like your "trust me" version, i have not the little spring/ball who is in contact with the extractor rod :( Is it normal than the shells move a lot in the barrel ?
Hi, congrats on your purchase!! Hope you are happy with it. The shells do have a little play inside the chamber which is unfortunate but doesn’t effect the shooting etc. are you going to give the grips a try or keep standard? The feel of the real grips is so different in a positive way but I understand it’s not an easy task to undertake. I imagine the other Umarex grips from same model all fit otherwise. The brown ones certainly do.
@@Waxmaxi don't have your talent unfortunatelly ! So i will put uv resin inside the plastic grips 🙂 I wonder if by putting aluminium sticker or something else (?) in the barrel's holes that could be jam the shells or directly on the shells
Love your imagination and skills, which I don’t possess, so I wonder if sending the plastic grips to the company and asking them to replicate might be a solution, or finding a skilled chippy in the U.K.
Thank you. I don’t have any special skills. I just take my time and lots of measurements and try to overcome any problems. I would imagine a carpenter would charge a lot. Probably better to buy the grips and see if a carpenter can make them fit.
Absolutely brilliant . The n frame round butt grips I got from the company were also a bit lighter in color than the factory grips. I just lived with it but seeing how good they came out wishing I would have tried to stain them. Figured weight would be different but does it change the balance?
Not much in the weight. The plastic side of grip without the hex key from memory is slightly lighter than the wooden one. Bear in mind the plastic ones I weighed had hot glue in as well so that added to the weight. If it were standard, the plastic would be much lighter compared to the wood. Feels great in the hand. Amazing difference. I’m so pleased with it. The balance is superb. The feel, positioning and hold of the thing is on a different level compared to the plastic ones
Hi. Thanks for your question and viewing. They came from a company called handicraft grips based in Thailand. I’ve just ordered another set for another different airgun
lol you know what it is, I crop the video so you can’t see all the crap around where I’m filming. I will try harder next time. I genuinely appreciate your feedback. I’ve only just figured out VHS! 🤣
Thanks for your message and suggestion. Such I simple and obvious solution! I love it!! I’m still in process of trying to fill in the holes and cover them but if I don’t succeed, I will certainly look to try your idea. Really great comment. Thank you 👍👍👍
Hi again! I am "using" this video that I had already watched and, as ever, enjoyed, to tell you two things: another UA-camr, said that the M29s from Umarex are in fact replicas of the S&W model 27,and those are in. 357Magnum, and the reals .357s ammo fit in perfectly, if you load the replicas with them. If you try to load these replicas with a .44 ammo, they will not fit. The reason why Umarex sais that these are replicas of the M29s is because of marketing matters. Dirty Harry used the powerful .44 Magnum, not the .357... Makes sense. Now the other thing: I get a .357 cartridge, and it fits and locks perfectly on my ASG Dan Wesson 715 model replica, as if this revolver was the real steel version!!! 😮😮. And the more I watch your videos on yours M29s the more I see my ASG came from the same place... (The end: I never get enough of your work on this replica or others...). ❤❤
That’s very interesting. I know there are different variations of the 27 but from what I can see, the chamber and front sight look very different from the Umarex m29. That said, I’m sure there there are similarities. Do you have a link to that video? Yes, I know about the shell differences. I have inert 357 rounds and they do indeed fit the m29 and the 44 mags are wider. You can also use an original 357 hks speed loader which is a nice touch. I have had an idea about modifying an inert 357 round to enable it to hold a 177 pellet. I would drill through the entire round and insert a suitable sleeve and seal. That might be quite nice to see. If it works. Labour intensive as would need to do at least 6 shells but might be a nice little project to work on. Meanwhile I’m still working on the grips. First coat of tru oil has gone on. Second fixing dowel done. Recesses for magnet done. Magnet should arrive tomorrow. Grips should be finished in a couple of days. Chrome paint arrived. Holes filled. I’ve tested it and seems good. Will need to try different methods of paint application to try and get it right. Then there will be another video.
@@Waxmax Hi again!! Only today I came here so only now I am awsering. I do not have the link for that video, but I will try to look for it. This guy speaks english and has a video showing the M29 with the real steel M29!! He has an accent much different from what is usual... If I find it, I will elt you know for sure... About the .357 and all the rest: how I'd love to be on your side when you make your works on replicas!! And now more than ever!! I loved your explanations about what you will do on this replica! How I wish I was there!! Make more videos, please !! I'd love to have inert rounds, and I know that Tokyo Marui has them, but of course it is unfindable here. I compared the real (empty) shell of a real .357 to the ones of my Dan Wesson CO2 715 model, and the difference is less 3 or 4 milimeters in lenght only.

Sono guancette vere per il revolver a fuoco,in legno e poi adattate , corretto?
