The way you improve it is get vince out of their ear. I heard he tells Cole what to say.
@@scrappy93 Cole does read from a script/ say what Vince wants at times but he's also had a consistant style for 20 years. If Vince croaked tomorrow you would not see a difference in Michael Cole's mannerisms.

Jim makes a good point. People with legit tough backgrounds like Otis and Lacey Evans should be presented differently. They did the same goofy stuff to Lashley.
I don't watch every week and when I do I don't watch the whole thing but Hurt Business is the best thing in wwe that I see when I do watch. Oddly enough I don't like any of them as individuals.
Apparently that is how Otis is in real life. At least according to Gable. Who knew him when training in olympic wrestling.
@@davidmarriott6321 I only watch the ppv, because that's what my son wants to watch. Really the only reason we have the network. He like AEW, but he like to be like a little Jim(even though he doesn't listen to Jim due to his age) and call the stupid stuff out. He knows who Jim is due to old wrestling on the network. He cracks up when I say "Jim is gonna kill them over this stupid stuff". Or he will ask me "what is Jim going to say about that no tag dad?" I never saw Lashley in his previous wwe stint or in impact. I had some friends that actually served with him in the military though. I'm a fan of his due to the mma stuff I saw.

Compare this to the Surviving Series from the 80s and early 90s. All the big stars they had. Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Hart Foundation, Junkyard Dog, Honkytonk Man, Demolition, Strike Force, Kurt Hennig, Big Bossman, Jake Roberts, Ricky Steamboat and on and on and on.
Cornette overlooks Sheamus, he's a great serious worker who lays everything in.
Jim just wishes that the Midnight Express will hit the ring and clear everybody out.

When wwe did the brand split in 2002,The first couple of years everybody stuck to their own show there was no crossover what so ever. Now people move around all the time it's no longer shocking. Buy doing this wwe has made the raw vs smackdown rivalry a joke
It's nearly always been awful, but yes, the "rivalry" is non-existent now.
Could use GM rivalries to reignite that idea of brand supremacy. Maybe Jbl for SD and Hbk for Raw

It sounds like Jim's biggest complaint is the booking and the storylines, not the performers themselves.
As someone who's become very much a casual viewer at best, I agree, and I'm glad he's not criticizing the talent, who I view as doing the best they can with what they're given.
Every wrestler is disposable like anyone can be replaced easily and the show wouldn’t change, they some how put everyone on the same level of unimportance
I'm so glad I don't watch WWE anymore. Listening to these guys talk about is way more entertaining than actually watching it.

The commentary is the sole reason I do not tune in to Raw or Smackdown, and if I ever get a chance to watch a PPV I will 100% switch to Spanish commentary.

I wished they would've put Raw vs Smackdown Vs Nxt as they did last year. it allowed for different matches we wouldn't normally see.

I miss when the PPVs would actually look different. You tune into a WWE PPV and it looks like every other Monday night show..

I know Jim doesn't like Kevin Owens on a personal level, but he is really good, compared to most modern wrestlers. He's athletic, and always does things to make his matches interesting. I'm a huge fan of his.

Somebody tell Jim that Vince will _always_ favour Raw over Smackdown. It's another reason why these types of brand versus brand matches suck ass. I think Smackdown has lost the men's match three years in a row now. Even when Smackdown was unarguably the better show Survivor Series came along and we had to have Raw winning because "Raw's the A-show!"
The feel of survivor series is very much similar to the NBA all stars. I like that aspect of it because having that brand interaction once every year gives the event more importance to building the brands.
Some of the wrestlers on both teams would have been on the other show like a month ago so there’s no point

This Survivor Series was horrible. A huge dropoff from last years. Survivor Series was my favorite WWF ppv growing up. I was a huge fan of the elimination matches. Idk why but I enjoyed the teams concept.
I'd like to see Cornette book a WWE vs NWA/WCW all-time rosters Survivor Series ppv.

Yeah, they need to get rid of that idiot. He might be able to work and has some sort of background, I guess. But he is friggin green as hell in the ring, annoying personality, has an idiotic look, and I expect him to be out with broken toes or foot injuries the second he has to do anything other than a normal match. I would love to see a hardcore match where they throw a ton of thumbtacks or glass into the ring and make him wrestle barefoot on it.

I knew SmackDown was going to lose when Raw literally outweighed them in not only actual weight but star power you had 2 guys who are known predominantly by their tag team expertise but are now being shown as singles stars who are at best mid card level at the most where as you could realistically see anyone on team raw as a world champ with all of them but one has been in WWE/NXT

Cole in particular in this show was all over the place. He was rooting for guys on the Raw side, despite the fact that he's a Smackdown commentator, and I caught him nearly call Otis a 38-fat pounder.
Terrible Survivor Series match booking once Seth threw away the match for Smackdown.

Just my theory because he was absent from Friday's Smackdown, but I think Seth's sacrifice thing had to do with him originally turning heel after Raw lost last year's Survivor Series and wanting to "rebuild" Raw.

If rumors are to be believed, the WWE isn't in a great spot with USA Network regarding Raw's ratings slide, so that may be part of why Raw obliterated Smackdown. However it's also been reported that Miz getting the MITB briefcase over to Raw & then winning the battle royal were to do USA Network some favors, so who knows.
