Another nice graveyard. Lovely to see names for those who couldn't afford their own stones. So many forgotten people that have no grave. The childrens area is a wonderful & thoughtful thing to have. Thanks as always for taking us with you.
@@PlacesForThePast not yet. But it's on my list, a few countries I need to visit. Brookwood is a beautiful place, best on a sunny day. I've still got to go back, as after two visits I'm still not finished filming.
Excellent episode! Thank you for the fascinating write up at the end on the paupers graves. Some of the stones are so beautifully ornate! I love columns like large mail boxes. ❤😊👍
That was massive and so kind the name was listed. Often just a number in others. The Ledger's referencing who those numbers belonged too often burned, unlegable or end up destroyed by flooding. Many aren't computerized. Hope the Van is sound again. Enjoy your week.
My family and there family’s are in here at the top end it’s a lovely kept cemetery but we’re the old graves are something should be done to keep it tidy not like moston it’s scruffy anf un kept
Excellent share
Thanks again!!
My pleasure @@PlacesForThePast
Very intriguing cemetery. You had me guessing about those multiple name headstones all through the video. Thanks for solving the mystery for us.
I emailed the cemetery office and they told me. Surprisingly little on the internet about them.

Thanks again for coming along. The wee kids garden and seat is a brilliant idea.
Seems to be a very large cementary. Some very ornate headstones. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
It was quite a large one, could have spent longer there but not sure how interesting that would be :)
What ever you share, we will watch 👍🏼
That place needs at least a 2 days visit. Absolutely stunning cemetery. Thank you muchly for sharing. 👏
Over 100 war graves dotted about all over the place, brilliant to explore.
@@PlacesForThePast apart from Brookwood, I've never seen so many in one place.
I’ve still never made it to Brookwood, definitely on the list. You been to Europe to visit the cemeteries there?

And they’re usually granite so look as good as new after 150 years
Nice vid!
Cheers!
