The feeling of comming back home in a boat with a ton of stuff and gone for like 20 days and arrive back is the best feelings

yeah it really feels nice and like an actual adventure. me and my friend always happy when we come back with a fully loaded boat. specially since we go through countless battles and small bases we build on the way. truly unique game.

Thanks, yeah it's build on top of a burrial chamber 😅. We now have an automated pig farm there now, so many pigs on that hill
@@marcel_kogs I heard later in the game, you can get attacked by a swarm of flying enemies, that can kill your animals, so farms should have a roof.
@@21preend42 could happen, all our pigs were killed by trolls 3 times now 😅 so we know the struggle. Base getting improved all the time, and we now have backup pigs in the basement of the building
trust me you cant do anything as soon as the wywern raid starts I got hit by that raid when I came home from bonemass fight and they killed my 1 star pig that forced me to find another
@@erenkocyigit4728 I think the drake raid is OK, there is usually not too many, and they prefer to shoot you over pigs.

Those 20 days or so when I played Valheim with the boys...it was the last time we all played a game together over a year ago now.
You should get them to play again. Set up a server and start from scratch.

Around the time this game first came out, 3 of us started by building our own little huts near each other. After a while, some more people joined, and those huts became a 6 person village with a wall, paths, and farms. It's one of those moments I'll never forget seeing it all come together.
Damn man, that base/port looks incredible ! It's so impressive what people can do with good imagination and patience in this game
And it's made from wood, imagine, what these guys can build with the later stuff

@@Th3XC45T Just make a trench around your base deep enough for the troll to get trapped in or a rock wall to block them
You can only dig so deep in water.
When I first played this game I built a road system from my first base outwards while I collected loot. I continued this road system till I felt like I was so far from my base that it would be better to build a second base. By the time I finish the 2nd base gathered all the loot on my ship and sailed back I had tears in my eyes. Such an enjoyable experience I didn’t know I would have enjoy.

For context this road system was the size of an entire continent and went to several mines in the center of the map. I got tired of running through most of it and instead made ports around the continent and sailed back to home base.

God I love seeing the different way people utilize the environment in this game and seeing their different builds. Seeing people's creativity is so good
terraforming was the one of the greatest decisions the devs made
I ventured VERY far off from my home cabin. I made a little base cabin, ventured off from that quite a ways and then died at sea. I spent the next few weeks (real time but over the course of a month) rebuilding, gathering resources, basically starting over to rebuild a new ship to go get my things back. Finally did and spent a whole day (again real time) traveling back home. I was soooo elated to see my home cabin in the distance.
11/10 I remember coming from a week long adventure, it felt like coming back to a real home.

Valheim ia truly a game where it feels relaxing and satisfying to come home after a long journey. Also very nice and cozy place!

this is probably one the best bases I've seen, really creative and very welcoming I love the fence around the base extending all the way to the where the boat enters very nice.

No one's gonna mention just how masterfully they arrived back home from their sea voyage? Such a smooth turn, no damage to the wall or the ship, perfectly rehearsed. Incredible.

i like the fact that sailing in this game actually takes some effort with the wind and everything.
Crazy when you realize that the only reason you have genuine journeys where it feels amazing to finally come home to your base is due to a single mechanic - not being able to transport metals through the portals.
The most important mechanic in the game if you ask me. If it weren’t for that, you would simply sail ONCE to a destination, build a portal, and ship all the resources you need back to your 1st base in the meadows. There would be no such thing as the feeling you get when you sail far, far away, build a temporary base where you mine for a few days, load up the cart and haul it to the boat, sail through a hurricane while dodging sea monsters praying your boat doesn’t get destroyed and all your hard work sinks to the bottom of the sea, before finally seeing your base on the horizon where you can finally cook up some bars and make a full new set of armour.
Top tier parking job, dude.

Actually great vid and homecoming from weeklong journey where your ass barely survived asskicking from all kings of terrors you could only imagine is one of the best moments in the game. And unloading loot from your cog of course))

It really feel so good, When you got Boat Full Storage of Ores (Silver, Blk MtL & Iron) after a long voyage from Heavy Storage, Sea Serpents, Swamp side skirt and a Swimming Troll😅. One mistake and i will lost all my precious ore to the bottom of sea 😅. Thank God i made it 😆

It's a bit challenging at first, because you get attack at lot. Also we lost all our pigs 3 times from troll attacks. But it's worth it.
@@marcel_kogs i ussually try and build a moat around my bases in the black forest to stop trolls from reaching me. Works most of the time
