    56:50 Something to go back to earlier stages of progression is part of the reason that rogue core is being made. You can start at nothing all over again every mission and it will be a fresh experience because of the random gear.

    They did advertize the stalker as an enemy that you deal with in between the swarms iirc, and design wise it is balanced for that, it makes you more vulnerable and keeps you on your toes even when there isnt much threat around
    So perhaps the stalker aggresiveness could scale with the amount of bugs near you, that or it's just less active during swarms
    I really like how it requires a different approach to other disruptives, and it's very satisfying to spot it and kill it

    Season 5 is much more fun consistently than the previous seasons, and so long as there are some hotfixes now and a quarterly maintanence update, i think i live with this till rogue core. BTW what build was the flamethrower on the sabotage in mission 2?

    I think they should let you just destroy the power generators with your weapons, maybe still have hacking as another option with its own strengths and weaknesses, same with blowing them up

      probably as a risk-reward speedrun thing. you can hack the power stations to fully disable them for an easier caretaker fight or partially disable them, which would cause an extra phase of the fight that would be more difficult, and would hopefully spice up the fight. there would probably also need to be a specific part that you would need to shoot so that you don't accidentally trigger it

    ill say, the only time i like running the burst fire oc, is on critical weakness missions, there, it does feel like im playing halo again, and im actually able to 1 shot headshot, or do massive damage, in one burst on an enemy. but anywhere else, it feels so ass

    They actually managed to break IS this season for Engineer at least, the turrets now try to traget the Caretaker. Before I really liked running Turret Whip on IS because it destroyed the claws and the robots, but now the turrets just focus the caretaker while doing 0 damage, and I can do nothing about it.

    21:15 maybe the solution would be to add diferent atacks to it ? or maybe whole diferent caretaker variations ? like the dreadnoughts have . that would make it interesting if we had few variants we could fight

    7:08 me and my friend played the new season , both of the season asigments . and we got the core stone event just twice , and the first time we instakilled it before the event started (we just shot it a lot before the event activated and it just died lol , looks like a bug to me ) . the event schould be lot more comon than it is now
    personali im happy with the overclocks , the event and the new mision type . even the new enemies are fun but im scared that the new enemies are going to get babied down like all other new threats we had in previous seasons . its just not fun when the enemies are not a threat . for example the robot sentries/drones (the ones that fly and roll on a ball ) they used to be a threat and now they are like 2x weaker than they used to be and you can basicali ignore them as long as you keep moving
    oh ye also the mention of - the deep driling gives options to new minerals to exploit etc . really excited about that

    Ya the crawlers are kinda crazy strong. From what I’ve seen they don’t ever stop spawning in any stage, I had a mission early on where someone started a core stone while we were fighting a dreadnaught and we just got overrun until we died (in hindsight we should’ve ditched fighting the dread and focused the core but this was like 2nd day of the season).
    Lower hazards they’re fine, they’re killable pretty easily just fighting them up until around haz 4, haz 4 it becomes sorta hard, and by haz 5 and above there’s enough of them and they’re fast and tanky enough you just have to sit on zip lines. But they definitely feel substantially harder than the hazard level, so I think they might have to tone down the tankyness or number or something to make them feel inline with the difficulty, because I’d assume they don’t want to leave it where everyone just always cheese with zip lines and that’s sort of the only way to actually do them if the hazard you’re doing it on is already moderately challenging for yourself

    Well you could technically just not do the corruptor for example. But i get you, corruptor shits all over the floor and actually makes the area unplayable for lower end PCs, especially with no optimisation mods

    Glad you like the overclocks as much as I do, just for the fun of them (including that footnote of Burst Fire being the one exception, still). I've always loved being able to depend on the two of your for actually knowing what EVERYTHING in the release is mere weeks after it's been out. *laughs* Also very happy to hear that both of you think the game is much healthier now than it's been for a while, as I feel like you two would know best of most folks. 14:23 Super appreciate both of you calling out Industrial Sabotage as the one mission that everyone resents.
    *giggles way too much at how much gold you're getting*
    I really like the idea of making reasons to go back and start over again, and all the ideas that you guys came up with are amazing. I think one of the good side effects would also be having advanced players HAVE good empathy for just how hard things are for beginning players or those with only a few mod tiers on their weapons. I think half the fun would be coming up with those strategies and think about it all over again. And I especially love Milli's concepts about how to do it *together* or get help to do it.
    Yay! Multi-class tutorials!! THAT is an amazing idea, especially with the incentives.

    I'm glad you pointed out the players leaving during S3/4 due to the lack of content. Several friends of mine who really liked the game at first stopped playing after a few months because there just wasn't anything new once they got the OCs they wanted.

    I got this a little bit in your responses to each other about the core stone event, but maybe not in the same level that I feel it (or maybe you do), and it might just be that I haven't done a single core stone event without aggressive and/or more enemies, but I genuinely feel that the core spawn crawlers are overtuned, they have armor coving their whole body and no obvious weakpoint, which means that if you have a direct damage weapon, especially one that replies on weakpoints, you will just do a whole lot worse and won't be able to kill enough of them. It just feels like some sort of DoT or slowdown is necessary in some capacity, unless you just want to cheese it with a zip, because the enemies are just so fast and aggressive and there are so many of them that you need slow or DoT or some sort of area denial if you don't want to cheese them. Not a huge deal, you don't even need to do that many of these events all things considered and there is counterplay in the form of DoT, slow, and zips, but I just wish they didn't feel like these unfair, completely armored, no weakpoint and incredibly fast enemies that you can't really reliably dodge if you don't have the right things for the event, but maybe that's just how they feel in just haz 5+.

    I think the best way they can do new game plus and restart from zero is having new overclocks that build on top of the vanilla overclocks and can be switched when you get the vanilla oc, enemies have new attacks or mechanics like drop acid on death, way more crazier cave formations that can include multiple biomes, and more unique perks and armor upgrades that can only be accessed or gained in the last season called Hoxxes Final March

    I fully agree on what you said near the end about Scout being a bad thing for brand new players. I've seen it myself multiple times and I never see anyone else ever bring it up. I know someone who has played 750 hours, all of which have exclusively been Scout, and it's just kinda sad to see because they're missing so much of the game all because they can't handle only having the small flares and they can't handle not being able to just instantly be wherever they need to be. I'm not going to tell someone they can't play Scout as their first class, but it is a very real trap that many players fall into. It also doesn't help that Scout is the class with the highest skill floor and most knowledge requirement; a greenbeard Scout that doesn't know what they're doing is very obvious.

    saying that if rogue core is bad then you've lost 2 years of DRG development is kinda sad GSG is still a company and they can't feasibly update the same game for the next 10 years without creating some other sort of income. I personally don't believe that this is the only motivator for the devs and I hope RC is a good game. Also we have seen that a deep rock roguelike will work from drg survivor albiet in a very different situation however it does work.

      Fair, my point on that stems from the feeling that there's a lot left on the table with DRG and a lot of good ideas out there on how the game can be better. Game dev gotta eat so by all means, make your paper. I'm interested by you bringing up survivor as an example of DRG working as a roguelike because that's abstractly where I draw my conclusion from that it doesn't. Commercially yeah its pretty successful in the sense that it made a morbillion dollars, but as far as the value of the game on an individual player level it seems very shallow and limited in its lifespan. It's not the kind of thing i see people playing just for fun after completing all the progression.
      That's the fear i have for Rogue core, is once all the boxes are checked, every run and random upgrade deflates the desire to play "builds" and makes it much harder to have a consistent experience. Like we said in the video, this is a lot of slander on a game that doesn't exist, but that's where I'm coming from. I'd buy a $30 content expansion for DRG, happily, and that's why I buy the Cosmetic DLCs even if I don't care for them, i want the game to keep the lights on for them so that they will put more of the potential into the reality of the game.

      @@AxisKronos You keep imagining this as things DRG is giving up for RC, but imagine what RC can give back. Any new mechanics, enemies, guns, whatever that gets implemented there could find it's way back over. If season 6 follows the precedent from 2 and 4, it will be a continuation of the rogue core theme.
      In addition, despite also not caring much for the genre, i can recognize that roguelikes are a huge genre, and Rogue Core can put the franchise on many more people's radar.

    17:40 well i like the industrial sabotage . but the tone of it is really diferent from the rest of the misions . because the other misions are pretty chill low stress ocasional combat . but the sabotage is intense in combat nearly the entire mision which puts stress on you (puts you in focus mode for most of the mision) . its like the dreadnoughts misions but even those are not as intense as the sabotage . i dont go playing deep rock for intense action i play it to relax xD . i do like that its option thought because sometimes you want to go crazy and have intense combat in deep rock , thats why i think we schould have the sabotage,dreadnought misions and perhaps even new boss type misions in the future . its not that they are not fun , its just they have diferent feel than the rest of the misions

    I'm a new player that just started playing DRG at the start of the year. The main problem I have with industrial sabotage is Patrol Bots while fighting the Caretaker. I find it hard enough dealing with the tentacles, then adding in the Patrol Bots makes it even more annoying (to say the least). Though it doesn't stop me from playing (torturing myself) Industrial Sabo.

    I actually think industrial sabotage is ok. Just bring a ton of fire for robots and c4 for the vents and its not too bad. It is a little long though sometimes if run with randoms though that dont have the best ocs though you are right

    personally a good way to fix the burst overclock would be to make it like the other overclocks that this season brought and make it so you could toggle it, that way you have automatic fire and burst, to balance it you could give it less ammo or make it so that when you switch from burst it goes into single fire to make it more dynamic while also being able to hit breakpoints.

    I personally don't really understand why people don't like industrial sabo, no class has a major downside in the mission (except cryo driller ig?), it doesnt take long to get to the boss fight part if you're atleast a tiny bit aware of the terrain scanner, you get plenty of nitra, the boss isnt unfair and there's some unique strats (bomb first 2 tentacles for easy phase 1, c4 vents) it just requires that you learn and practice a bit, and if you're unwilling to do that then no shit will you not like the mission. Its like playing one of those textbox dialogue games while skipping all the dialogue (i forget the name, but like doki doki or sum shit"

    GSG is simply taking a piece of the (mainstream) pie with their DRG spin-offs.

    Worst brambler I've gotten so far was hiding at the top of a super tall omoran cave as solo driller with a nodule hidden behind a rock so I had to drill my ass up there while the duck and cover mobs murked doretta. Also 24:35 skipped bittergem I'm unsubbing 😡.

    I dont want to do drilldozer mission. It's just.... long. And has a tendency to fail right at the end instead of somewhere in the middle like most missions do. And new phase just made it harder to do with randoms coz they WILL mess it all up and we WILL die after escorting this shit for 20 minutes

    If burst did extra bonus damage to weak points that might be enough, maybe less time between bursts to, but Scott isn't know for damage.
    Although, he us known for precision high value target danage, so 🤞🏼

    With crystal nucleation I think that people are getting carried by the thought of being a "sticky flames but on ice" but... Is not great, sticky flames are good because of the heat spread and the fact that you can use them preamtembly when a swarm comes, you can place the flames and let them push you and die... The cold ones can't do that, they get destroy as soon as an enemy steps on it meaning not even the very same bug that destroyed them will get the full effect... So for a bug to take constant dmg it has to be already on it and without moving... That happens when you freeze them, but at that point they take x3 dmg from everything, you probably you'll pretty much kill them if you shoot again your primary to create the spikes under them (with your main dmg not the spikes)
    Looks bad so far but... What's the actual effect of the spikes? Negligible damage over time, really, test it, is almost a joke, and... Half of the freezing that you usually get for the ground freeze you get without overclock.
    Small enemies take too long to die, which is funny because since they are frozen, you can almost snease and kill them but this still takes a while... And bigger enemies won't even notice such a small dot.
    I feel like if they didn't get destroyed when a bug steps on it, it could be a pretty decent overclock, but rn, is almost better to take nothing than using it.

    What are you talking about? Idustrial sabotage is the best mission in the entire game!
