If Malaysia only has 8 F/A-18s in service, how many of them are even flyable at a given time? Seems way too small of a fleet for really anything besides training.
Malaysian here. usually only 4 are flying most of the time. but we also have 18 SU-30 MKMs. We are currently shopping for a replacement for the hawk fleet i believe. Our airforce is small, but our navy is decent, coastal type but our main strength is in our army and our jungles. but overall defence.. we have strong pacts with the UK, US, Australia and Singapore.
