How to Troubleshoot Power Supply Issues with Your Lasko Product - FAQ

- Are you experiencing issues with your Lasko fan or space heater’s power? If your product doesn’t seem to be turning on properly, we have put together a few tips to help you troubleshoot the problem quickly and easily.
Power supply problems are often caused by home electrical outlet issues or the internal components of the fan or heater needing a quick reset. In this case, you can start by simply unplugging the unit. Allow it to remain unplugged for about 10-15 minutes. This will allow the internal components to reset themselves.
Then, plug the item into an outlet in a different room. This rules out any outlet or circuit issues. Make sure the outlet you choose can handle the electricity requirement of the device, particularly for space heaters.
If your fan or heater still isn’t working after trying this, it may be the result of a defect. Luckily, all Lasko products come with a limited warranty. Shame on this manufacturer to blame the customer electrical outlets for their defective products. How dumb they think we are?

didn't help at all! Bought one in Jan, used it for the first time Friday of this past week and Saturday it was dead! we tried other outlets that we knew were good like the video says and nothing! Just dead after one use!!
*Love the size and it fits perfectly in a corner but **Fastly.Cool** the whole room. Really like how you can auto adjust how long you want the fan to be on. It is quite but highly effective.*
I have done all trouble shooting and still will not turn on.

I've been getting one a week for the last three weeks. Always the same mess!
I have the newest Lasko heater. If it beeps and the only thing that shows is a red dot then unplug for 10-15 mins and put the heater towards the coldest part of your house then return where you want it, plug it up & it should come back on good as new!

I'm so disappointed my Lasko dual window fan stopped powering on, and these reset steps didn't help. I purchased the fan a year ago. It was more expensive than similar fans, but I thought it was worth it because of bluetooth and the included extension piece to fit my wide kitchen window. It was great while it lasted, I guess.

I purchased a Lasko Cool Colors 20 3-Speed Box Fan Model B20308 Blue from Walmart a while back and because it's been more than 6 months, they won't honor an exchange. I take good care of my fan and it still looks new. The switch on my 3 speed fan quit yesterday. I have always been careful turning the level selector switch so am surprised it went out. Initially only the High setting worked then shortly after, it quit. Some times the motor had a hot electrical smell. I am concerned it was a fire hazard. If not resolved, will report to the AG and the FTC.

Same here, brand new out of box, remote works but not the buttons! They keep telling me to reset, did the reset about 5 times now, didn't help

Lmao yeah, just sent me a second fan I paid 80$ for. They think I didn't try this already? New fan lasted 2 days. Turned it off, put the legs on, turned it on. Sike, won't turn on in any room.

Think it’s my little black capacitor I think that’s what it’s called. There’s a way to take a picture I would send it. I think that’s the problem because it started going slowly and now it doesn’t come on at all.
Absolutely worthless. The only thing they say here is unplug it and plug it back in in 10 minutes. The unit was in storage for the summer. It's been unplugged for NINE MONTHS. The thing will not turn on (red LED will not illuminate). How about a video from somebody in your tech department instead of marketing.
I checked where AC power comes into the board and it is OK. Getting power. There is a fuse on the circuit board but it is not blown and show continuity. Any USEFUL tips from here besides send it in?

Product seems to have internal power supply issue. And what gets me is the diagram on the instruction manual (paper enclosed to assemble product) is inaccurate, the nut that holds the back grill of pedestal fan shows to turn counterclockwise when the verbiage states to turn clockwise… I’m a visual and I like to see how the assembly works, so I rarely use instructions.. needless to say I was maf…come on man..lol… get it right just goes to show stay away from LASKO period if they can’t get that right no wonder the internal electrical issues are flawed
Bunch of whiners in here. My Lasko after almost 5 years is now giving me an issue where it will turn on, but none of the controls work. Guess what, it was my fault because of static electricity. Going to buy another one if I cannot get this one working properly. Thanks for a great product.
We had two lasko fans for several years, 6+, no problem. Just bought a new one and it sounds like I'm running a small 1:16 generator in my room. Exchanged it for another same model, and still very loud. I'm thinking the quality of workmanship has decreased... They recommended I vacuum it out. Not sure what I'm vacuuming since I just took it out of the box for the first time.
@@laralei9 Same. Brand new hums like a fluorescent bulb ballast. So annoying and loud can hear it downstairs.
I’ve used the lasko Heating tower for 6 months, worked fine so I stored it for the summer and now that the fall is here, it keeps powering off. Oh and 6 out of 10 screws are deeply embedded to open the back panel, used a Philips screw driver with a magnetic tip to reach and remove em
(If u don’t have the correct Allen key).

My heater lasted a month before it quit working...what a joke
No, the power supply problems come from excess dust. However, we CANNOT open the back panel to clean it it because your company deliberately used ridiculous plastic screws that are impossible to remove. You did this so we would buy a new unit. POS product.
What a useless video. All it it told me to do was unplug the unit and plug it back in. They don't think I already tried that? At the beginning she says "We have put together a few tips to help you to fix the problem quickly and easily." A few tips??? We used the model 6451 four total times before it stopped working. $80 down the drain.
Or that is cute... can't replace fuse so put it in the garbage
My Germguardian Humidifier died just like than after using it four times. When I called the company I was told to unplug and then plug again on another outlet. I guess they tell everyone this trick that doesn't work. When you contact them again with the bad news Lasko has no other solutions. Whatever whatever you do, don't buy this piece of junk.
So what if you purchased the fan off of an undisputed Crack smoking heavyweight champion/pioneer, pilgrim, certified, graduated top of his class and all over the world, that sold it to me for a cigarette, dollar fifty, and a VHS tape of the movie "lion king" being recorded in a full theater back in 1994.
