Also, as you say, it's a bit pricey. Nevertheless I love how the copper has aged and I can imagine that old coin smell on your hands when the pen is touched. Good review.

+David Anderson thanks! And I believe the Ohto Rook is slightly smaller. Much worse quality, though. I had one for a while, but it was just terrible.

It isn't as aromatic as some of the raw metals that I've used before. There's a bit of a smell but nothing noticable unless you sniff the pen.

Does it smell? The Kaweco brass smells horrible but I’m not sure about copper!
It has a scent to it but its not bad enough to bother me.
Maybe it's just my preference, but I prefer a heavier pen.
