Brian “Head” Welch (Korn) and his daughter Jennea (Loud Krazy Love) join us this week to share the brave story of their “relationsh!t” and how they’ve been able to grow out of the years and years of trauma and self inflicted harm that they both caused each other. Brian opens up on what it was like to find sobriety through religion, leave Korn at its financial height, and step-up to become the provider and responsible care taker that his daughter needed. Jennea shares some traumatic stories on what it was like growing up surrounded by abuse, neglect, and rockstars highlighted in their documentary “Loud, Kraft, Love.” An amazing brave and emotional episode this week.

Thank you for sharing your stories. I did grow up without my mother. It does hurt so much not to have one. Even now that I am grown, it still hurts .

    This needs a visual element

The visual would distract from the words which has been spoken.

This was awesome. I’ve been watching your podcast, Michael, for about a year now and just stumbled across this interview. There are so many reasons I value this at this point right now. Thank you and thank you to Brian and Jennaea. ❤

Love this story! KoRn is my favorite band of all time, Smallville was my favorite show, huge Superman fan and your iteration of Lex Luthor! I feel you could have played any style of Lex in any adaptation. Would have loved to see you with Zack Snyder! Thanks for blending my 2 favorite worlds together KoRn n Superman! 💪🏼

This is one of the most exciting, interesting, and profound interviews I've ever heard from Brian and Jennea. I love them so much, I love their relationship and their courage to talk about such intimate and important things. I've seen Loud Crazy Love and read all the books Brian has written.... I'm also a huge fan of Korn and Love and Death.... I wish them all the good and peace of mind they deserve. Thanks for this interview

I’m so happy Brian and his daughter excepted Jesus. It’s not about religion, it’s about having a personal relationship with God through his son Jesus. Idk if mike has, but I been prayin he does the same. It won’t solve all ur problems, but it will help u find the strength and the calm to see ur way past any hardship. Love u mike, ur a great guy and ur doin great work, through your pod cast. Ur doin great kid 👍👏👏👏

If that isn't religion, I don't know what is.

@@neonom1024 exactly, you don’t know what it is. Religion is dogma and traditions of men. If you had a relationship with Jesus, you would understand. Maybe start there? Good luck 👍

@@alexpratt71 No need to condescendingly gatekeep. Dogma is subjective (especially religious dogma), and tradition is just peer pressure from dead people, to which I am immune.

Rosenbaum is Jewish (not sure what his relationship is with Judaism, but it is important to mention). There has been a really toxic history of people trying to convert Jews to Christianity, so I'm not sure how he would feel about this comment. The compliments of his work on this show are quite good, but perhaps leave it at that without trying to convert him.

Lmao Jennea, glad I’m not the only one who finds the name of this podcast slightly comical. Great interview though

Fantastic episode! Michael, you had some really wonderful questions and you treated the emotional parts of this interview with great sensitivity!
It made me feel so funny and strange because your rendition of Lex in Smallville was so well done that it would have been next to impossible for me to meet you on the street at that time without looking at you like an enemy and uttering something not very nice towards you! Haha! Seeing your first interviews with Tom Welling and the other actors who played other "good" characters in the show was so strange, too, but seeing how friendly you are all around each other was refreshing!
Keep up the great work! As Aragedie said, "you're a good dude"!
