I love this pistol. I had been carrying a Staccato C2 forever but this very quickly became the carry of choice. Especially when I want to feel pretty 😁
Wilson Combat is affordable if you are willing to save money and they are more than worth it. They make weapons for professionals that truly carry everyday and shot a shit ton.
@@akmonster9687 I carried one of two C2s for a long time and now carry one of two of the Experior. I try to always get two of any pistol I buy for logistics purposes. Is it better? Yeah, as far as fit and finish, etc. the Wilson has the edge. It isn't way better or way more reliable. I never had malfunctions of note with my C2 or the Experior and I train a lot- so that is a wash. I do prefer the grip on the C2 it fits my hand a bit better. TBH if I had it to do all over again I would do it but I think most people are exceptionally well served with the C2. The biggest difference is the lack of grip safety. I hate grip safeties as they can introduce shooter error malfunctions when shooting from expedient/unconventional positions. Essentially with positions that you may use .01% of the time in a real life SD situation. I also don't use optics or lights on carry pistols. They don't materially make me better in the vast majority of probable situations and in my opinion are extra baggage.
Love the Honest videos... my favorite 2nd to Jerry... I'm from the South and That Louisiana boy is a legend. But you and wifey are up to my 2nd choice.. humor and shooting cant be beat
Bought mine just recently and put 100 rounds through it. All I can say is what a gun, lol. Out of all my guns, I can honestly say there is nothing I don't like about this pistol. The fit and finish, tiger, grip, and balance are all superb. Great commander length firearm. It's worth every penny. I got mine new from a dealer on gun broker along with a new two tone vickers e. He gave me a great deal and I didn't have to wait months to get it. If your patient you can find them. I have more expensive guns and for the money this is way beyond my expectations.
The car analogy doesn't really work anymore. Ferraris routinely get smoked in various facets by cars A fraction of their price. Look at how Tesla has essentially destroyed drag racing.
Just picked up my eXperior compact last Friday. Took it to the range Sunday and put 200 rds 124gr through it for it's break-in requirement....not a single issue. Mine apparently is a 2020 build, based on the test fire target, so one of the earlier builds and no drama. I won't worry about running SD ammo through it as this won't be a carry gun although its the compact 4.0

I'm 66 years old. Retired/Disabled. I'm very partial to S&W being I worked for them from 1980 - 1987. But if I could afford this $3,000 gun. I'd have one tomorrow. Maybe S&W will make something comparable that I can afford soon. Great Gun!

I have their 45 commander length. It was my first 1911 so I figured it wasn't to expensive since I'm new to the platform. I'm incredibly shocked how it feeds everything, holds up, did a training class with it with no problems. I definitely want their compact as well. Wish I could afford the Wilson but its just expensive. So little by little I been upgrading the ria to get it as close as possible to a solid higher end firearm.
@@joshuagibson2520 they run about 600-650. And that's will their upgraded model with good sights and good grips. They may be a few bucks more now since the buying panic but not much if at all
My EDC X9 is the best shooting gun I've ever tried....I didn't notice a big difference between that and the newer Experior. That said, another enjoyable and informative video. Thanks.
Love the videos! Just recently got my wife to learn to shoot after she saw your wife doing it so if you could get her shooting more in the videos my wife would appreciate it. Helped my wife realize that she can do it too. There aren’t a lot of women on you tube shooting that aren’t in bikinis that other women can get interested in watching.
I have this model without the rail and the 2019 model 4.15” p. The fit finish and build quality is better with the Wilson but I like the way the p shoots better.
That Wilson Combat makes Honest Outlaw look good, but Mrs. Outlaw definitely makes that gun look good! And sheesh that gun can RUN in the right hands (yours).

Im no expert by any means...but i was under the impression that the edc x9 x-frame was developedbto increase reliability while reducing friction with less contact on rails. Also many would argue that the edc x9s external extractor is a significant upgrade from the internal on experior. So my question is other than a different grip pattern which is prefence related how is experior an upgraded edc x9? I kinda think its the other way around

YES pls do the 1000 round follow-up review. Intereting you didn't hafe "gailure to go into battery problems" like Beretta1911's copy. He said he removed the "shock buffer....from the recoil mechanism"....they didn't show what that wa exactly.....curious. Looking at getting this gun. The way they designed the grip with it's "granade pattern" makes a difference i'm sure. Something missed on lots of guns...along with the type of stippling. I avoi "glossy" grips as they get slippery fast e.g. the Nighthawk VIP guns $8k OUCH!! :)
I don't understand the irrational fear of the grip safety. lol I've been shooting 1911s for forty years - untold thousands and thousands of rounds in practical competition, steel speed shoots, qualification courses, and in 9mm, .38 Super, and .45ACP. I've never given a single thought to the grip safety as it just disengages when you grip the pistols - and works every time as it should. I am also carrying quite a bit on horseback - and I'll take all the safety mechanisms I can get when the pistol is on my hip and pointed toward my mount.
You know the ammo struggle is real when the outlaw says it’s tight. Awesome little way-too-pricey-for-my-blood pistol! Hope you keep these videos coming far into the future

These 2011’s are such awesome pistols. But at the price point most are at, and parts availability scare me away. Us poor’s have to stick to our Glock 19X’s etc.

The short coming for a 2011 has always been the mags and they have definitely improved but not to the quality of the mags in the Wilson, this is coming from a guy that shoots a Nighthawk using the Staccato mags. The starting price is $3999.... Add at least $500 to $800.. Cost of shipping... Do like the Experior though. The grip and checkering patterns used makes a difference. Making the ACP also a good deal. Had most of Wilson's internal parts... And a very useable grip and checkering pattern.. Horizontal lines.

Just got one with optic cut, rail, upgrraded magwell, Extreme dehorn, Carry "Melt", etc., etc. I have to say, I LOVE the SFX9, but this is FANTASTIC.

My EDC is the non rail Wilson Combat EDC X9 Experior. Love it, carry with 18+1 and as extra 18 round magazine. Bought mine used, was a great deal

I asked a friend that is a seal and he owns both and says the Wilson is the better gun by far.
Based on his previous videos, he seems more accurate with the C2... and it's 1 grand+ less...

The experior does not have the tri top slide. The edc x9 does. The experior has the traditional 1911 slide
