U.S. based short-seller Hindenburg Research in a new report released on Saturday alleged that the chairperson of India's market regulator Madhabi Puri Buch previously held investments in certain offshore funds that were also used by Adani Group.
In a late night press statement, Buch denied these allegations and called them baseless, adding that a detailed statement would be issued later.
Citing whistleblower documents, Hindenburg said Buch and her husband held stakes in an offshore fund where a substantial amount of money was invested by associates of Vinod Adani, brother of Gautam Adani, who is chairman of Adani Group.

The investigation conducted in the last 18 months is not thorough and it appears that SEBI dragged its feet.
Now it's time SEBI head needs to resign and a full fledged and expeditious investigation has to be conducted to maintain the reputation of the market.

They made money already. So they are interested in this short time impact. Ofcourse opposition will like to give political colour to this. Can they say all transactions of related stocks will be on hold till things are resolved? Not possible.

If SEBI Chairperson is confident then she should file 500 to 1000 Cr defamation case against Hindenburg. None of the panel members are even discussing about the possibility of any wrong doings. Instead of panel members trying to instill confidence for investors by crying foul, go through the legal way to defend your name and if there is any wrong doings by chairperson, resign immediately and she must be punished accordingly as per the law. This will create confidence for all investors in Indian market, do not beat around the bush, come clean.

It appears that Hindenburg report is a factual statement. All the spokepersons here are under the influence of Adani or corporates or Modi- govt.
Nobody here has the daring to say that SEBI chief Buch should resign and Modiji should initiate a deep enquiry.
Indirectly, by not resigning, Mrs Buch is accepting the H- report is correct. And Hindenburg will be encouraged to bring other report on India.

Hindon berg should respect the financial rules implementation and audit in true spirit only to bring to the notice and also its solution. if companies doing good work having good balance sheet then no reaction should be needed. If economy is progressing good and doing lot of work to make its company in good working and its report also affect the sentiments. so pl be justified otherwise it will collapse.
