Raj Shamanic, Among so many big businesses, big bazar and Kishore Biryani hi has commanded respect from me. I was very happy to hear him speak. He is always very frank. Self-starter,gives out gem. One question I would like him to answer is 1. How do you ensure loyalty of your employees,2. Of your suppliers 3. His banking approach 4. How to understand money ? Is he going to start big bazar again ? It was called huge best brand started by a man of ideas... Thank you Raj Shamami

I also loved the way the anchor carried this interview, within 20 mins he has asked about BB downfall which I was expecting at the end, later so many things were discussed KB’s knowledge about market is just awesome. Great session.
Mr Biyani is speaking very openly about the business...that was not expected.....i started with watching a clip and ended up with the entire episode..Both of you are very nice ...Honest questions complemented with honest answers...

His vision and understanding of BHARAT is very real.... And the real advice comes last few mins.... Sir I m sure you must be planning something big for comeback and it will be big surprise for all... Thanks Raj for this episode 🙏🏻
Good insights. Me being a retailer in Bangalore managing supermarkets for last 15 odd years , we are also Ina similar situation were operating profits are too low and survival without proper funds is a big challenge.. e-commerce , d-marts,,, always feel there should be some regulations on pricings which help retailers like us also survive in this market…if you can bring in someone who can throw some insights into these challenges would be great… when we astarted our operations back in 1990s there were hardly any self service outlets.. but if we have to do something now we have to do it really big, for that funding is a big challenge .
Just remember one thing. Every product has a life cycle and every business also has a life cycle. Along with that Markets keep evolving. So if anyone has to survive or grow in the market, these factors cannot be ignored. Whichever company or business entity it may be. They cannot escape this.
Fantastic. The best and must interview for everyone with entrepreneurial aspiration in India. Abdul Kalam used to say ...Don't study success stories..Study the failures .. You can learn a lot. Learned lot of things from Mr. Biyani his experience from retail industry taught us what not to do, which is hardly spoken by anyone. Thanks Raj for asking great questions.
Wah Raj Bhai .. this video is like surprise for me because recently I was reading about Mr Damani but there is so less information about Mr kishor I was feeling so sad but by God Grace after just few minutes you uploaded this so interesting podcast... Thank you....
He is very practical in indian market . At 49:00 he said why startup run by only iit n iim students.. He is 100% right vc dont give money to local even if he prove.. We started transport free app ( now a days same startup as porter app) for commercial vehicles. Run it 3 year as bootstrap. But after corona we lose it . And ppl who want to invest they are only looking for IITIANS or IIMS .. unfortunately we stop 🛑. And back to basic .. but still seaching new oppertunity. N its era of knowledge and information.. so it was good experience..
He'll always be the king of Retail ❤❤ His intention was good but somehow he failed. His employees are still happy they always talk positively about future retail culture and kishor sir. Thanks for getting him here
Nice podcast. I have suggestions that if some person come to your podcast then ask them how to start a business from scratch. Like what is the first step? How to do research on market? How to find right audience? How much funds we need? How can we get funds? How to do advertising? For this podcast ask all these questions regarding retail industry like big bazaar.
He is truly amazing person and entrepreneur! Few mistakes has been the downside of future group like debt! I hope for his comeback and hoping it to be really strong and builds like something like big bazaar again! 😊
Questions- 1) Ask about their childhood, why and when they decided that they are ready to start a venture? 2) What are some of the top qualities a person needs to develop if they want to be an industrialist( not an entrepreneur)? 3) How to build a business with personal money, re invested profits, debts? 4) How to become an expert in debt management, how to grow a business using debt? ( not equity) 5) If a 16 year old is watching the video who aspires to become an indistrialist someday, what will be the best advice that they can give them? ( Suppose the child have no mentor who can guide him in the process of becoming the person he wants to be in future? Suggest them a best and effective route to achieve their goals in the shortest time.
Hii Raj ,thanks a lot for calling Kishoreji on your show.He is truly a living legend and aspiration for people like me who started our career with Pantaloons group ,he was and would be always our role model.
Kishore Biyani is a pioneer of Retail and he was ahead of time in terms of setting up Huge Pentaloons ( I have been to HYD Pantaloon in 98/99), Big format stores, malls, creating a Bazar atmosphere, BIG day discount shows etc. Somewhere he went overboard in terms of scale/stretch( he himself humbly agrees). Very sad to see him selling of his jewels and shutting himself out. It didn't well interms of getting torn between Amazon and RIL. Great to see his passion, keen observations and thoughtful initiatives. I know he is past his prime years, However I hope and wish he comes back in some form of business. Excellent discussion, gracefully conducted. Congrats Raj. You are doing great services to business community, founders and aspiring founders
Hey, Raj I am from Hyderabad and the insight that Kishore Biyani gave about Hyderabad as a city and Mens wear market was absolutely great and i am gonna dig deep into the insight and for sure work on it thanks for bringing him and kishore was the OG of giving insights about indian market😂🥳❤

Shri Kishore Biyani ji is highly practical and learned person. What a great podcast with Mr. Biyani and lots of things to learn from such dignified business person. Great work Raj👍
You could see the pain in his demeanor when Big Bazar failure was discussed. Covid messed up many things, BB was one of them. They would have been real competition to Dmart. Let's hope Jio gets BB control sooner from predatory Amazon.

His podcast lasts for an hour, but for me it takes 2 hours to watch the full video , bcoz it has so much of content to be noted down. And if possible please do add subtitles for some hindi words alone. Thanks dude, we appreciate your work
He has so good grasp of the market,, he is so cool and says it with no drama. when listening to Kishore biyani sir one should be very attentive , he leaves so many pointers in such small phrases. Hope Kishore sir starts onto another venture or some fund house, surely VCs will be lining up for him
Thank you Raj for this cardinal podcast! Couple of suggestions: If possible make a Business Model Canvas and ask them questions with respect to Business Model Canavas so that young entrreprenuers can learn from that canvas. 2. Please try to ask or frame questions with respect to Sales Funnels/ Sales. 3. How to break down big visions into small steps so that anyone who is starting can relate. Thank you once again!
Amazing video Raj, I just feel that asking such experts about how they built their team and what challenges they faced in the initial team building face will be helpful , The role of the founders, the team departments, how the team members had different roles etc, Cuz its not just one person who makes a company successful, so we would love to know more about what actually happens inside the office and the people/ work management, hope this makes sense, Thanks

I had the fortune to meet Kishor Ji, a reservoir of vast knowledge and big university by him self.Huge huge respect for the sir …Wednesday's discounted grocery sales are designed to clear surplus inventory from the previous Sunday, creating space for new stock and benefiting both buyers and the store. An excellent situation!"
Feedback as you asked :- few randomly questions 1) ask them if there is a bribe/favour etc also in business 2)why few businesses are not in Rural or semi urban cities 3)any political effect or any particular state , religion etc impact the business and what is the solution or win win situation. 4)why our India not become on 5 trl or more economy, what is the reason and solution for that . 5) how our health/education/lawn order improve and in a fast n effective manner
1.Lots of bribe 2. Rural / semi urban - less footfall or product market fit / consumption power is not that good.. 3. Muslim people spends a lot. Being Hindu observed Muslim people do spend alot.
Ask 1. What age they started business? 2. Why they choose business out of everything? 3.with their collected wisdom now what would they different? 4. For every insight they give ask for an example it would be easy to understand.
18:52 This part of the video was very painful, cause despite the best efforts outcome was not in his hand and didn't go as planned and could sense the pain in his words as per my opinion. I would have liked if Raj had extended meritocracy question if Biyani Sir also follows the same while recruitment on the basis of academics/graduation 51:50 was best line in the social media push for Hustle Culture........
The ones who are suffering from this incident are middle class general public who invested in bigbazaar FD and have been suffering huge losses and MENTAL AGONY. Some people have even trusted and invested 1/3rd of their savings and in a terrible situation because RBI/Govt just doesn't care. Imagine the plight if regulated FDs can be this insecure in our country. Forget the principle amount invested, there is not even a single rupee interest that is given since 2019 for non-cumulative holders. There are no systems in place to protect the investors. This amounts to such a big scam, the general public is looted in the name of FD and no regulations in place to protect the investors money. NCLT process has been going on for years!!

Thank you....
bhai really happy that I could provide you with the information you were looking for. Let me know your feedback once you watch the podcast🙌
@@rajshamani bhai future retail ka kya hoga please provide me any information
He is very practical in indian market .
At 49:00 he said why startup run by only iit n iim students..
He is 100% right vc dont give money to local even if he prove..
We started transport free app ( now a days same startup as porter app) for commercial vehicles. Run it 3 year as bootstrap. But after corona we lose it . And ppl who want to invest they are only looking for IITIANS or IIMS .. unfortunately we stop 🛑. And back to basic .. but still seaching new oppertunity. N its era of knowledge and information.. so it was good experience..
Indeed one of the best episodes!! This one should cross a million views.
EXPERIANCE KI APNI EK VALUE HOTI HAI , GREAT CONVERSATION
THANKS TO KISHOR BIYANI JI
He'll always be the king of Retail ❤❤
His intention was good but somehow he failed.
His employees are still happy they always talk positively about future retail culture and kishor sir.
Thanks for getting him here
He is an inspiration for all the people who are building a brand out there, thanks for watching the podcast🙌
Need to know ,people who was get irritated at Bb due to any reason , but came back again for shopping. What was the factor?
Kishorji is the pioneer of India's Modern Trade Retail. I am blessed to work besides him. Fantastic podcast 👏
It’s so fascinating to watch an experienced chap discussing his learnings, challenges. Loved it 👌🏽
Nice podcast.
( not equity)
5) If a 16 year old is watching the video who aspires to become an indistrialist someday, what will be the best advice that they can give them?
Thanks Raj for Bringing KB sir at your show, Started my working career with BB learned lot in BB what experience and learning in Big Bazaar

I am also work start with big bazaar as a trainee Team member and as a Assistant Department Manager that time I left this amazing company...One if the best company ❤❤❤..Lots Of Love Kishore Sir😊
💯 percent true about Varanasi. That shop in Gadowlia still has a Nandi 's pic on their hoarding and a statue inside the shop .That particular Nandi has passed away
And he is so true about consumer 's mind ....as if he knew me personally 😅
If I'm sharing with my friend Circle, hardly anyone is watching full videos of yours,
But I know your works will surely a roadmap of millions of youth like us, keep creating such meaningful conversation.
I think I need to change my circle 😅...all the very best
This is highly appreciable the way you get into details without making discussion complicated.
Thanks to kishor biyani sir 🙏
My fav shop was Big Bazaar and was extremely sad when it closed. Loved the quality n style I got for small money at Big Bazaar.
True... I still miss big baazar. Quality n price of Big bazaar still can't be found anywhere. Sad reality.
What a person mr kishore is.. visionary, humble and after all that has happened, he remains so dignified..
The king of Indian retail business kishore sir is such an inspiration for whole business community of India the way the legend has got understanding of Indian consumers and market no one has got such deep understanding 🛐
I totally agree bro, He is my inspiration too and its a dream come true for me🙌
Chutiya king. Tabhi barbaad ho gaya
Straight to the point, back to back this legend explained all his wisdom in a very simplistic way...
We loved your work what you are doing for then Indian entrepreneurs.

Hii Raj,
Here I am again to watch your podcast, I loved your conversations with Mr. Kishore Biyani on Nikhil Kamath's WTF and watched you there as well, and I want you to bring these kinds of insightful founders on your show. And at last Love you 3000.
Hi Kunal, thank you so much for your constant support, this means a lot❤️
Shri Kishore Biyani ji is highly practical and learned person. What a great podcast with Mr. Biyani and lots of things to learn from such dignified business person. Great work Raj👍
You could see the pain in his demeanor when Big Bazar failure was discussed. Covid messed up many things, BB was one of them. They would have been real competition to Dmart. Let's hope Jio gets BB control sooner from predatory Amazon.
How do you clasify Amazon has predator?? Please explain
Excellent interview, it was not just interview it was real Geeta upadesh for new India by Krishna bhagwan ( Biyaniji )
I have forwarded this video to 25 persons whom I know aged 20 to 28 and called each one to see & listen this video completely if they want to be a successful business people
His podcast lasts for an hour, but for me it takes 2 hours to watch the full video , bcoz it has so much of content to be noted down. And if possible please do add subtitles for some hindi words alone. Thanks dude, we appreciate your work
Tera sabun slow hai kya
do share your notes, it will help others too
He has so good grasp of the market,, he is so cool and says it with no drama. when listening to Kishore biyani sir one should be very attentive , he leaves so many pointers in such small phrases. Hope Kishore sir starts onto another venture or some fund house, surely VCs will be lining up for him
I am from Ahmedabad I was thinking about podcast on someone insightful person thanks for podcast
bro hope you like the podcast, let me know your feedback🙌
Just loved it. Mr. Kishore has not spelled out completely, he's the man whom I desire to meet and taaalllk .
Legend. I miss Big Bazaar. 🙏🔥

SERIOUSLY, WHAT A KNOWLAGEBLE MAN....THANKYOU FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL PODCAST.
I don't know if it was possible but I wish Kishore Biryani was my uncle. 😅 Man he should have his own podcast and just audiofy his biography.

Feedback as you asked :- few randomly questions
1) ask them if there is a bribe/favour etc also in business
2)why few businesses are not in Rural or semi urban cities
3)any political effect or any particular state , religion etc impact the business and what is the solution or win win situation.
4)why our India not become on 5 trl or more economy, what is the reason and solution for that .
5) how our health/education/lawn order improve and in a fast n effective manner
1.Lots of bribe
2. Rural / semi urban - less footfall or product market fit / consumption power is not that good..
3. Muslim people spends a lot. Being Hindu observed Muslim people do spend alot.
I am missing big bazaar brands in fashion category 😢😢😢
Ask
1. What age they started business?
2. Why they choose business out of everything?
3.with their collected wisdom now what would they different?
4. For every insight they give ask for an example it would be easy to understand.
We need more of Mr Kishore Biyani..... What a man
I was the underwear designer of Pantaloons. Under kishore ji's leadership I climbed up to his personal designer. Thanks Kishore ji

This woman change almost everything about me my friend connected me to her, she's the best and i promise to spread her good work.
18:52 This part of the video was very painful, cause despite the best efforts outcome was not in his hand and didn't go as planned and could sense the pain in his words as per my opinion.
I would have liked if Raj had extended meritocracy question if Biyani Sir also follows the same while recruitment on the basis of academics/graduation
51:50 was best line in the social media push for Hustle Culture........
Bharat is not India. Keep inviting business leaders who talk about Bharat. Very inspiring video. Loved listening to Mr. Kishore Biyani. Met him first when I was a Store Manager at Warden Road showroom. He was a visitor there. Same time Pantaloons, Tardeo was launched. Later from 2006 to 2019, as a KAM I managed Future Retail as an account.
Was listening very carefully to Mr.Biyani, being a proud Big Bazaar Customer,I just wanted to know what happened, offcourse he is very smaaaaaart & knowledge oriented.I would listen again & again
Hi Raj, wonderful content and guests. Saw only a few. Please bring more ppl who are honest and genuine . He will come back with something great.I admired him so long what a smart, wonderful businessman.
