Evidently, a lot of people do not watch the video before commenting. The title is just a meme, guys. I literally said it's not a 6/10 0:30 in. Maybe not a clever joke, but it made me laugh. Realistically, I'd give it a 7. A solid game, nothing too impressive but I had a good time.
people who pay atention will know but even with that the ac comunity has this games in great regard. seeing the gameplay doesnt seems like ac6 is as good as previous games
Are you really surprised that there are many people who will rate a video based only on the title of your video? Did you make your youtube channel yesterday?
I'm sorry... Just watching the video now. Seeing the title I thought I was in for a ride(Oh sh*t SyntheticMan about to drop facts on my fav game💀) but I couldn't stop laughing since I gave it a 7/10 as well but your joke sold it self 😂
Same I was so sick of soulsh*t. Goty for me easily, even after actively waiting 10 years for this they absolutely delivered. Normies will never understand mecha so nothing surprising when journos gives it 6/10.
@@astrea555 True that, there's people complaining that the game's too build reliant as if it's not a mech building game. I have a feeling normals are just going to lie to themselves that they liked this since it's Fromsoft, because it's clear that they're just playing this to wait for Elden Ring 2 or some more Souls shit, but hey at least they gave enough of their money so maybe Armored Chads like us can get a sequel or expansion that's probably gonna be better than this one.
@@dajokahbaby1506 normies ruin and complain about everything. I feel if fromsoft did want to make a direct sequel or expansion of some sort. It would be inferior to ac6. (if they listen to the normals)
I thought it was funny that, when announced, so many From fanboys and youtubers were trying to draw direct comparisons between AC6 and the Souls games. It got so obnoxious that during an interview one of the devs had to remind people that AC was an established series that existed before those games. It should have come as no shock to anyone with a working brain that AC6 would instead be more like other AC titles.
Despite being great games the souls 'community' is among the most cringe. This is what happens when they can't write a coherent story to save their lives so the community is literally filling in blanks that aren't even there. Yes, many people seriously thought AC and souls would somehow be connected, and this was gonna be mecha souls lol
@@stinkfinga4918 I dunno why anyone would make this connection, souls player here, saw AC6 announcement and thought "neat, Robids", never heard about AC before and don‘t really care about it, but it‘s clear from just a few seconds of gamefootage that this has 0 connections to Souls-Design. I blame it on ER hitting mainstream, therefor all of these thousands of clickbait tubers have to keep shilling this sh*t for their Zoomer audiences. OWO ELDEN RING 2.0 WITH ZE MECHZ???!!!!😧😱😱 kill me
In the old game all the ACs were slow and clunky, and if you wanted a fast build you would have to build it that way. But I always found myself making the same 2 builds (heavy tank treads and medium build with floating legs.) Both these 2 builds carried me through Armored Core 2 till now(even synthetic man made the same builds.)
As someone who plays maybe 1-2 games each year I'm enjoying AC6 because of my mech urges. The movement is nice, the mechs are cool, the customisation is nice and I can play a single mission and enjoy it and go do something more productive.
@@sanniez sorry man I meant this biased UA-camr not you,I hate when people like him tried to show he have higher standards, when this exceeded our expectations and the game is actually finished.
They made some pretty regressive choices for this installment, IMO. Between the hard boundary walls, no mercenary system to sortie in multiplayer, no S rank mode or unlockable S rank weaponry, only one hand equips a melee and the bosses handle like an MMO raid boss. Reposition, line up, big attack. And that restart system still bothers me greatly. It's great, but we do actually expect more from an AC title. It's a good reboot, super fun to play, but much more simplified and boiled down. Here's to hoping it's just a reboot before we get Armored Core Vindication (or something else starting in VI)
@@CretaalI’m assuming you’re a veteran player so all of your points makes sense to me. I personally think the game is perfect but then again, this is the first ACTUAL AC title I’ve ever played. I played this fan game called HAMMER but never any official AC titles before AC6. I think the reason a lot of these features were removed is because making this title more casual than previous titles will make it a ton more easy to get new players into the franchise, especially those completely unfamiliar with AC as a whole. I believe they’re going to bring back some of the core aspects of the original games to make it more difficult with the next release, especially things like going into debt since that’s actually something I was hoping was going to be in AC6 when I first heard about the concept of debt in AC. S rank modes and Weaponry also sound amazing. Perhaps they’ll even add exclusive S rank unlock-able parts like generators, or thrusters? (Also I’m praying the next game involves NEXTS.)
People hype up Fromsoft as being "teh based filter devs, who NEVER caves in for the normies", but they definitely casualize their games. Besides i-frames getting more and more forgiving in every Souls title, this has to be one of the easier Armored Cores, besides maybe 4. Repair kits, quick turns, hard locks, staggers, no debt system, ridiciously high payouts for missions, etc. it definitely doesn't have that simulator feeling the older games had. It's funny that the complaints from non-fans is that the game should be MORE anime-like, specifically MORE like Zone of the Enders, when to me that's what's holding this back from being a better Armored Core game. You mentioned that the tank build was your favorite, specifically because there was actual weight, there was an actual sense of scale when you were playing it, when that's how you always felt in the older games, especially gen 1-3, and even 5. People shit on the old controls, but it conveyed the feeling that you were in a giant, clunky mech perfectly. Still I think the game's fun anyways, you are an anime mech afterall, and I'm not gonna pretend that isn't a cool feeling, as well, and it's probably a moot point arguing this, since the specific feeling I want in the games haven't been in the series since 2005. And it's nice that after all the Souls shit they added to the game, some of the things that make normals seethe the most are classic AC shit, like the emphasis on build types and the mission structure lol.
Thats the most based take , ive read in a while . Especially one that i asked myself too after the release of AC6. I prefer the older AC games more than gen 4 and 5. And now AC6 is gonna be another game i rather wait for a discount .
@@SuperSamZero69Wow thats a very shallow take when i see one. And one with extreme prejudice especially from a AC-noob like you . Better check yourself before you wreck yourself .
Wait is there really no debt system I never knew that because I always tried to keep some money to stop debt from coming in, that feels strange like if it was any other mech game yea it makes sense but it’s armoured core I find debt being one of its main features (behind movement and in the older games terrible controls)
My impression is that they didn't want to risk too much when they made this game so it's a medium sized project they did to test the waters, smaller than their other ones. If it sticks then we'll see more of it and with a bigger budget, if it doesn't we'll get another one in a decade similar to this. Still a good, above average game.
It's a similar case with Bandai Namco's earlier Ace Combat 7. After nearly a decade of a dormant franchise, they risked another entry that went back to the series' roots, and it was very successful. Gives me hopes that Ace Combat 8 will be even better, hopefully closer to Ace 5 or Zero in terms of sheer balls-to-the-wall crazy scifi concepts and mission design. Ace 7 felt a bit tamer, more like Ace 4, still good, but lacking that certain something that the latter PS2 games had.
Having played a lot of Armored Core back in the day, man I feel old, this looks like its what I would expect it to be like. It seems people just had a crazy expectation for what it WOULD be. I was actually afraid they would make it more Souls like, and am glad to see its not. My PC is not likely up to be able to run this, or most Games coming out now, so it will be some time before I can pay it, but I am looking forward to do so. Thanks for the Review Synth Man. Honestly a Mid Review from you is Gold to me.
@@silentservant_ I sure hope so. Once it goes on a good Sale I will give it a shot and see. I also had no clue this was released on the PS4. Since I have one I might just go that route instead.
As a newbie to Armored Core, and a veteran souls player, I found this game to be just as enjoyable as Sekiro with all three endings combined, and I love Sekiro. I agree that the customization could’ve been better as well, but that kinda goes for any fromsoftware game, though I also understand why it's more important in this genre than others. I'm still loving the game for what it is, and I'm proud to be able to partake in this game.
Inb4 the "at least it’s Fromsoft and it’s not political" crowd. I’d give it so far a 7/10. It’s not gonna revolutionize the industry, it’s not bad, it’s kinda repetitive, it’s probably gonna be forgotten when the fanboys find something else to sing the praises over, but I’m at least having fun with it.
Very true. A number of folks will toss out any standards just because a game doesn’t have political propaganda in it. If the game is mediocre or bad, what does it matter at the end of the day. Not saying this is bad, but it doesn’t look that good either.
I'm having huge amounts of fun, it's a fun break from the overblown micro transaction, live-service vidya. I get to sit down and mouth breathe like a moron while I make mech builds and engage in some of the most fun combat since Vanquish
its a damn fun 7.5/10 game that doesnt try to bullshit you in anyway. it does unfortunately suffer from the slow casualization of Fromsoft games in general, but i cant lie and say i havent throughly enjoyed my time through NG++. it has its low points but it also has some pretty damn high ones. AC6 is easily goty for me and I dont even consider myself a Fromsoft fan
Beating the sea spider and Ibis with my main heavy bi-ped build, without cheesing into a easy "meta-tank" build or even the "right strategy" build was extremely satisfying. Yes, it took many many hours of perseverance and determination. Call it "stupid" if you want, but the feeling of relief after beating those bosses using "MY" play style made it much more enjoyable imo.
@@TocanosTag Yea using a heavy bi-ped as a first playthrough was a good idea since it forced me to really learn the game mechanics while still being able to handle damage. Well that's until you get to a skill check boss haha. With NG+ I experimented with different builds using some meta ones to quicky dispatch of some bosses. This is where I discovered the meta-powers of the dual stun needle cannons hehe. But for my NG++, I'm currently experimenting with a lightweight bi-ped build (*SPOILER*'s Xylem battle AC), and it's been very fun a rewarding.
I think you're being too harsh on this game. It's incredibly polished, despite its repetitiveness. The diversity comes from the build options that are available to you. This idea that the difficulty spikes are somehow bad game design is just not substantiated by any solid reasoning. Having peaks and valleys is exactly what good pacing looks like. And just because some enemies are fodder doesn't mean that the game isn't still teaching you, constantly demonstrating new tactics, strategies, encounter scenarios, and weapons for you to try. There's fun even in optimizing the simpler encounters. I don't appreciate your take on the story. There's so much depth and meaningful interactions there, and hearing that you didn't even care or interact with it deeply was disappointing. It's the same style of story telling from software has always relied on. You get out what you put into it, and if you didn't want to put anything into it that's fine, but that's not the game's fault that you came away receiving little impact from it. Overall your video did have some good points, but your judgement on the quality of the game was not sound, and is not representative of the actual positive experience most people will have of the game. Hopefully the positive qualities of this game will shine brighter when more time has passed, but if not then at least we'll know what needs to be improved in future games.
I also really liked the story and setting, i thought it was both very actual and had lots of interesting concepts, it was also pretty emotional while still being subtle and not hamfisted. I found it very engaging.
I feel like they wanted to play it safe and produce a game that was complicated and challenging enough to keep people entertained, while keeping the gameplay approachable enough to bring new fans to Armored Core as a franchise. This is definitely not a “bad game” by any means. I have a lot of fun tinkering with builds and learning how each component affects the way the mech acts.
@@MunciMunci i knew about armored core but didn’t really consider myself a fan until i saw the reveal trailer for AC6. Really hoping they give us another game sometime in the near future
I loved it. Some of those boss battles got my heart pumping. Plus u get different missions on the ng++ and the lore isn’t bad once u get past ur 3rd play through
9/10 game, best AC game so far, the game wasn't overhyped as it delivered perfectly in my eyes, also remember that people would totally be more hyped than normal because of the state of gaming that we live within, not to be that guy but Armored core with all what it offers is a breath of fresh air from the hellish design that many Devs use nowadays. -It had great music. -Decent story, does it's job. -Amazing smooth gameplay, calling it repetitive is like calling Dark souls repetitive for the whole "dodge + attack" approach, or calling a shooter game repetitive for being, a shooter for the most of it, plus it doesn't even matter if a gameplay is somewhat repetitive when it's super fun. -Alot of customization and approaches to battle, again there are some design choices from past AC games that didn't make it through but i didn't need to, each AC game had alot of changes from it's past, and that's okay, past AC games weren't even reviewed that well. -Great bosses. -Phenomenal spectacle and scenery. -And most importantly, It's a pretty tough game all things considered. This video feels way too nitpicky, same goes for the comments, I don't care for whether you like the game or not, but i can tell when someone is being harsh towards a game just for the sake of being harsh, or trying to be different, even through whatever flaws you can think about, giving the game 6/10 is just outrageous.
lol "great music" now you're lying, this game has no music at all, just industrial ambience noise and a slow tune that would put anybody to sleep. It's an embarrassment considering AC released an amazing 20 disk music collection just a few years before. This game is not Armored Core and you're just a shill.
@@Zeriel00 this is a one tasteless opinion if i have ever heard one lol, maybe extend your music taste and you'll start appreciating the music and the depth of it, this is Fromsoft we're talking about, plus music taste is subjective to begin with so this opinion isn't even that relevant. Balteus theme alone is 9.5/10. also what do you mean it isn't an "armored core game", who are you to say that lmao, It has AC's, It's a mech game, you control mechs, it's an AC game, or you're one of those nostalgia-blind elitists who cannot handle change, this isn't "Armored souls", there are barely any mechanics brought it from the souls series, just because the game has bosses, stagger or lock-on doesn't mean it's souls, y'all are too brainwashed to the point that you think these simple design ideas are "souls-like", plus even if that's true, how is that a negative? these mechanics only makes the game better, that how game devs work, they put such things that they used multiple times and expanded upon to many of their game, It's liek a signature apart from the difficulty. Just to remind you that almost every AC game was different in terms of design, It's not that hard to grasp. also pease don't try to use "shill" as an insult it's actually just embarrassing
I love AC6 but I have to disagree with you about the music. There wasn't any impactful music that left a lasting impression on me. It sort of felt underwhelming and forgettable to me. Sometimes I would forget there was any ambience or music playing. But if you liked the music I won't hate on your taste. to each their own. I just wish they had some music as impactful as a game like Halo 3. Something Iconic. They really were stingy with the budget when it came to getting a good composer to make a soundtrack for them.
I just love it because it's a fucking GAME, it's just satisfying mechanics and fun gameplay no bullshit and no time wasting it feels like. I can just turn it on and instantly have fun.
the bad part about fromsofr going mainstream is the amount of remedial gamers with no attention span and no extra brainpower for an unconventional story flocking to play and cover it now.
@SilveRonin88 internet gatekeeping was great in the 90s. I remember when you had to be "into PCs" to even reasonably access the internet. Now any dumb thot with a cheap cellphone can shit-up the joint.
@@azurespectrum1985Older AC games had much better new game + stuff than AC6 . Some of the hidden parts are required to have to explore more of some levels and find more cool hidden parts . AC6 is still mid . A good game but even with older games not the best for sure. And those games had OP+/Human+ abilities too that isnt in AC6 . Missed oppurtunity right there .
I think the game is awesome and exactly what it supposed to be. Hell I just beat mega missile man this morning and I’m stuck on the sea spider now. But I love the 16 or 17 different builds that I’ve got going and trying new combinations and I’m just having a blast so if anybody doesn’t like it, then go play something else because apparently as my first armored core game, they knew exactly what I was hoping for.
The original games on psx and ps2 mostly took place in interior levels because these consoles couldnt render large maps, for that reason you had less ammo and armor and you fought less enemies, all that changed with 4 that was the first game in x360/ps3, 4 had these super giant mechs that could fly around called NEXT that basically drew power from kojima particles in the air, basically the force but for mechs, this is when the game became much faster and more casual so they balanced it for 5 by getting rid of the NEXT mechs and kojima particles and having a post apocalyptic setting that mechs were slow like tanks. Playing as a heavy was never viable in the old games, you took too much damage and had to spend a fortune to repair, in the old games you could easily finish a mission with such high expenses that you go into debt and when you go too much into debt the game restarts but you get ugprades this is called human plus and they got rid of it in the newer games. The stagger meter and all the other bonus damage systems are new things to the series. The old games could not do large maps so large bosses were not a thing, it was mission after mission and you killed a few mechs, in fact it was better not to fight any enemies you do not have to so you dont waste ammo because most missions did not give you more money for destroying every enemy, so you just wasted your ammo, you mostly had to rush to the objectives. The giant mech bosses are a thing that was created in armored core 5 and it seems souls like games have influenced this game to have this inconsistent difficulty in which the game is easy apart form bosses that require a specific build. Speaking of changing your build, the old games did not have repair kits and checkpoints, if you die you go back at the mission select but you still lose money for ammo and repairs and if you fail too many times, time passes and you cant play that mission anymore and it changes the story. You could argue that this game is probably the most caual armored core game but since its lower than 4 and you cant fly around, its slightly harder, but 4 did not have these kind of bosses so that makes the bosses alone super hard. All of this seems to be happening because of the souls reputation of being hard, so they made the main game easy and the bosses what people call "filters".
Well if you still having problems I got a nice tip, make your build more based on stagger and mobility. Two gatling guns, and rockets will help out alot. Tetra pod legs actually work really well on the level too
@@suki-artsanimations807 I appreciate it. I actually clobbered him not long after this post I’ve beat the game already gone back with different builds and annihilate him every time. Such a good game.
I never played an armored core before this one but I like it so far, difficulty spikes are random af like that ibis boss was the hardest thing outta nowhere while everything else felt like a tin can besides Balteus! Strange game but I enjoyed it :) I’d say 8/10 for being able to enjoy gameplay as a noob and the story I thought was cool!
What’s the problem with difficulty spikes ? This game allow many builds and can’t predict which build you will be using, some builds make certains bosses very easy
@@ni9274well the spikes are mismatched. Ideally, you'd like to have the spikes come into a nice curve. But the game spikes at random heights. Like, the chapter 4 boss is arguably harder than the final boss. That's a very tough spike that doesn't make much sense.
The older ac games was just like this. But I think harder due to controls. No health potion either. I stopped after ac2. This game looks better but I’ll wait for the price drop. I know how the game goes.
I would say 8 out of 10 but I do not like that their seems to be less weapons and AC parts than AC4. I have been playing Armored Core since the second game on the PS2. First game I played on my PS2 back in early 2002 was Armored Core 2 and Gungfriffon Blaze. I love mech games, so happy we got so many back in the day.
I'll take the fewer parts than AC4 thing since we no longer have to deal with AC4's completely bland, empty desert environments or its garbage brown and gray color pallet. You take the good with the bad. This game clearly had a production budget eclipsing AC4's by a factor somewhere between 10 and 100. My God they even hired actual, competent actors to voice the characters and give them actual character. I can actually remember people's fucking names now. Sounds like I'm shitting on AC4 a lot, but FA is actually one of my favourite Fromsoft games, I'm just sick of people pretending like AC6 isn't clearly, obviously fucking better than any previous AC game.
I'd give it a 7/10. The only thing 6 surpasses the 4 series is that you can combine parts of different manufacturers and still make it look decent. 4 and 4A designed the base models too good that they didn't visually match well to each other.
I mean the diversity of gameplay comes from all the different levels of customization for builds, so of course if you use the same tank build to run through the whole game it's going to feel repetitive.
I like how he says he like a challenge, but then once he finds the most brainless build to run through the game with he does so without question. Like I beat the whole game with a lightweight build and all 3 storylines. The story is actually good, but you have to actually pay attention to the dialogue and the story bits you find on the staged from wrecked mechs. This game is not mid at all, the gameplay is responsive and tight, the boss fights are hard, outside of meme builds, its runs flawlessly. Mid games are basically every AAA games that's dropped recently that look good but run and play like ass.
I think we all discovered how stupid the tank was like 1/3 through the game… it’s just some of us realized we wanted a challenge…. I basically had a rule where if I couldn’t beat something with 2/4 legs in an hour then I would put on the tank so I could progress the story… because I was loving the story
I didn't like the reliance on the stagger meter personally, the games already devolved into dual shotguns and grenade launchers. Stagger is actually just a universal translation of the Heat mechanic in the past entries where taking too much damage from specific weapons would cause your mech to shut down for a couple of seconds. The series always had literal stagger too but it was generally limited to the obvious heavy weapons to deal it out. Otherwise, besides some obvious cues they took from the Souls games in storytelling compared to the old games and a pretty weak soundtrack barring a handful of songs (ESPECIALLY compared to the previous games) this is probably the best modern AC I could hope for. This series never had a wide appeal in the west, and 6 retains a lot from the previous entries. The fact it's done this well with this release is reassuring they'll continue the series and maybe dial the soulsy elements that are still there back. You are correct about the disjointed difficulty. Balteus is difficult on a first playthrough because you have nothing but crap parts, CEL-240/IBIS is a copy/paste Dark Souls boss that requires cheesing unless you've spent enough time dying you know how to exploit its cheap ass moveset. The rest of the game felt fair, but FromSoft always decides to throw a bullshit wall at you randomly in their games that actively goes against what you learned so far.
100 % agree. When I was playing the best strat for just about anything is to pack miniguns or shotguns, break an enemy, and then unload on them with the strongest shit in the game. Because simply having an enemy stalled out for 3 seconds is massive, like but certain game bosses have hp pools so fucking massive that without stagger the fights are an exercise in frustration. Also wish the game had a bit more mech parts overall and the soundtrack itself felt very forgettable.
@@vulcanmemes9770 A lot of mech parts are actually hidden behind the combat log thing, or the NG+/NG++ playthroughs you have to do in order to see everything in the game .This one definitely had a weaker line-up of shop parts, especially in terms of FCS and Generators since you get the best options in the game for free.
@@ebookjapan8054 I've only done NG+ so far so, had no idea they hid more extra stuff which sounds neat. I found laser drones to be surprisingly affective too. And I honestly wouldn't be opposed to the idea of them making some free update or even cheap DLC (as if) that adds some more missions and mech parts. I have my fair share of criticism for this but considering we don't get mech games from like anyone period anymore and this game presumably being a safe test to see if the series can still generate interest among fans, I'm still very satisfied and hopeful they can test out some new experimental things or bring back better series staples. But the soundtrack being so dull is definitely knocking it down to a 7.5/10 for me
couldn't agree more about the balteus. just finished my NG++ run and i absolutely shat on the thing first try with newer parts, even though i've been struggling with it in the beginning
Without spoiling much; the boss you fight for the third ending is even harder than Cel 240. The tank builds do well against almost everything, but those fast moving, AoE bosses are brutal.
Really? I still found Cel-240 to be the hardest boss in the game. (Avoiding spoilers) I only really ever had some slight trouble with the 3rd and final phase of the true ending boss, and beat him in 3 attempts. Cel-240 however, dogged me for 2 and half hours before I finally killed it.
The first thing you said about "new fromsoft fans". That is the exact reason im afraid of fromsofts future. Thats the reason I wasn't huge on elden ring. Or hell even dark souls 3. Its sad to hear that the devs played it safe with this game instead of making something absolutely brutal.
Elden Ring and DS3 were, taken on their own merit, still great games. If I compare those to the games I like from ONLY FromSoft, then they are suddenly inferior to their other contemporary releases. But people who think AC6 and Elden are meh on their own merits are straight up myopic about gaming as a whole. If one claims that games have fundamentally evolved in such a way that they must be these big, expansive, once in a lifetime epics, then they really don't remember what the brunt of releases are and we're on previous consoles. There are certainly dozens of masterpieces that are justifiably lauded, but they were always exceptions and not the standard. Some people, myself included, like games like these.
This is the reason gatekeeping has it's function. Kinda doesn't work with games though or any hobby that hits mainstream and doesn't require specific knowledge (look at the dnd lol)
@@12ealDealOfficial oh absolutely. I still enjoy those games (even if i hate ds3 in certain moments) from time to time. But i feel like on a overall level, they just don't leave me feeling the same way as other fromsoft games do. Especially older ones. I STILL go back and play demon souls and dark souls. They have that fromsoft personality with them. And i guess i dont feel that in their newer games.
@@12ealDealOfficial I wouldn't call Elden Ring a great game. At least personally. It's OK to good. It has a great presentation and OST which elevates its score a bit, but if we remove all the pretty colors and the great sounds, what do we really got? While there was some beautiful sceneries in some certain location, all in all, the open world was empty and bland and the dungeons were pretty much copy&pasted with very little differences made between them and many of them offered shit rewards that was useless to the build you were going for. The story was almost non-existent and for a world as large as ER, the game barely had any NPCs. And when it comes to NPC's storyline, good luck trying to complete them without looking up a guide. And don't give me the bullshit excuse that the story could be expanded upon and understood by reading item descriptions, sorry, but with open world, that's one of the most retarded ways of telling a story. ER is the only souls game that I have played where I got very bored half-way through the game and rushed through it to the end, even by using summons when I never used summons on my first playthrough. I have tried replaying it multiple times..and I just get bored just a few hours in and quit the game, this is not something I can say off of the lesser popular game, Dark Souls 2, that I've replayed to the end multiple times. Making ER open world was a big mistake in my opinion. Because the best part of ER was the sections that was reminiscent of that good fromsoft level design we are used to seeing in the souls game, like Stormveil Castle. But unfortunately, we got very little of that, and more of just empty lands with random uninteresting enemies that we just ended up ignoring by riding through with our horse with ease.
The comparison between Dark Soul and AC6 from other sources and even youtuber is stupid, like come on dude Dark Soul is about trial and error + getting mindbreak while AC6 is your fun gunning and mauling guilty pleasure.
I know you don’t get as much views or positive feedback from your game reviews but keep it up. Your Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 video is still one of my favorite reviews you did because I played both those games a lot when I was younger. The other content is great but it was your reviews on older games that made me subscribe
7:32 I fought Raime for 2 months; I didn't know I had the covenant of champions active, I didn't know I was fat rolling, I didn't know I could destroy the healing effigies, and I was dualwielding smelter demon ultragreatswords... but I did it.
I wonder if this game is successful enough to justify more armored core titles in the future, because I feel if fromsoft leaned into the stuff that was good, especially difficulty wise and with hardcore elements from the classic games, it'd go from being a fun middleware to a really good game for cult-mecha fans. Particularly I want to see more of the old debt system, cruel level design, and the occassional crime against humanity like attacking unarmed civilians or something. I'll be real I haven't really gotten my hands on armored core 6 yet and I'm just an armchair guy who likes what he sees, but this series really holds my interest and I'd like to see fromsoft diversify their titles more.
unpopular opinion but if they bring back the l1 l2 r1 r2 camera controls i think the game would be a lot cooler. it makes it really feel like your piloting and not just playing a third person shooter
Biggest issue is the unlocked camera. By which i mean the camera controls not being coupled to the turning of your mech. Its the last puzzlepiece they stripped away to go from feeling like controlling a machine to just controling a character on screen in a vidya game. Luckily the mech do still have *some* weight to them so its at least better than DxM. But I agree the ps1/ps2 controls are awesome. Only started playing through all the games couple years ago and I think the controls are one of the main reason those are still my favorites. Its so asinine to pretend that those controls are impossible to get used to anymore. People just arent willing to put in the effort, and thats fine but they wont get the same experience either then. Ac6 almost feels more like a good DxM instead of an armored game in general to me. Even revolving around a red magic particle energy source.
@@ApenBaard vidya game made me laugh xD personally i never played any after armored core 2 but the fact controllers didnt used to have control sticks for that kind of thing and how they worked around it was badass. i think i was 7 the first time i played the game. i could never get people to play it with me, it had a cool 1v1 option. i wonder if someone could mod the game to make it like online playable upload your own mech and 1v1 peeps. there would have to be some balancing to make sure people arent just all making the same kind of mechs. do they still have the customization anything like the old games? what do you think is the best armored core?
I had a bit more trouble beating the game than you and probably enjoy it also a bit more, but I basically agree with all your points. I think the biggest problem with this game is that it expects you to change your build a bunch of times, but if you do it in an optimize way, you are gonna breeze through it, so people who get stuck are gonna look online for "best build for this boss" and never have a problem, and those who beat their heads over and over again are gonna get bored of the missions in between challenges. So no one is really having the best time.
I didn't have this experience at all. I really have no idea what you people are on about. I picked a build I liked and only changed my weapons a bit depending on the damage types the boss was weak to. Also, the missions were a fine challenge, because the challenge isn't to just beat them, it's to actually be good at them. Get a good rank on the mission replay, take as little damage and use as little ammo as possible to maximize the mission rewards. And of course, using checkpoints is for pussies. And the bosses were awesome. Just the right amount of challenge, as long as you're concentrating and paying attention.
You have basically just experienced when most of the armored core games are like. As someone who has played all of the back catalogue that's basically all the missions. A lot of them favor certain builds over others, and so you have to get more parts to build the Mac that is best-suited for the situation. However, once you get really skilled in the game you can basically use whatever build you want to clear out the mission because it best suits your gameplay style.
I’m new to these type of games (and not very good at them) and I couldn’t disagree more. I just beat the sea star and each boss has taken me about 10 tries. I’m having a blast trying to figure out builds that work for me
As an AC game, I'd give it a 5/10. As a video game in general, I'd give it a 6. Too many Souls' mechanics got fisted into this one at the cost of great mechanics we lost from previous games such as heat, limb damage, arm extensions, expansion slot parts, core types, actual sniping, consierge selection, challenging and nuanced secrets, parry blades, part tuning, radar, vision types, the list goes on. Aside from that, there's just not nearly enough content to justify an $70 price tag. The campaign is short and doesn't offer much player agency in the overly dramatic narrative, the corps aren't as various or as interesting as previous games, and there aren't many parts to choose from. Also, if you used hard lockon, you didn't beat the game.
My main complaint is the difficulty not anything else. Length isn’t a problem because of ng+ and ng++ and the fact this is arcade game. They should have made the game mechanics much more hardcore. Like the old debt system, actually fearing for money problems, etc.
@@vulcanmemes9770 That's not what parts tuning means, dumb dumb. You could tune the individual parts in previous games but that's impossible here. All you can ever do in Armored Core 6 is switch out individual parts for better or worse parts, but tuning them to your liking is impossible.
Hey Synth. Just wanted to say thanks for the varied reviews and stark personality... It’s refreshing to see a critic that actually provides valid criticism even for something he likes. That’s what we need more of today and what modern media has left to die. Absolutely love the videos. Keep up the good work man. 👍
@@DatLazyBoi vast majority of critics don’t. That or they downplay the severity of the criticisms in favor of saying the game is still “great”. If you want an example. Go look up “Video Game Reviews” and check out how many videos there are that claim a video game is a (MASTERPIECE) Then compare them to Synths videos. I think he literally only has like one or two videos claiming something to be that. Every other one is reasonable with some level of merit to it. Modern reviewers are shills and drags more interested in getting review copies then actually objectively stating their beliefs. That or their tastes are trash in the first place.
I’ve watched your reviews since GOW Ragnarok, I respect your opinion more than most, me personally I have hyperfocused and am at the start of chapter 4 already, I’ve never really played a game like this before so for me this is my favourite thing right now

This is the biggest L take I’ve seen in a while bud. AC isn’t souls and never will be, they likely didn’t think this would do as well as it did. The game isn’t perfect not as good as the previous ones but half the stuff you pointed out are non-issues when the game is damn fun.
Point to one example of it being called Armored Core 6 out of 10 other than you. Edit: I agree with a lot of what you said in the review, but claiming that people are saying that is bizarre. I haven't even seen it on 4chan threads.
Never trust vaatividya and other big souls creators when they talk about upcoming fromsoft games. While I don't think they're actually being paid off to shill they are 100% trying to hype up the game to keep their relationship with fromsoft good and keep getting invited to special events and exclusive previews. Also so their fans don't eat them alive for saying anything negative about fromsoft. Personally I'm glad to see fromsoft finally branching off a bit instead of making the same game for the 8th time in a row, hopefully they learn some things from this game for their next non-souls projects.
Thats true . But what can you expect from Corpo-simps ? No dignity and full on disgrace . Their talking from their smegma stinkin' mouths and never can put a single objective criticism on the table.
Vaati makes excellent quality videos that aren’t about selling the from soft games, but appreciation for gaming and lore. Criticising him as a shill is a low blow.
I dont know, im a relatively big fromsoft (japan) fan and I honestly thought it was a decently good change of their usual fair. The biggest complaint for me was the first chapter boss where you either have to be as aggressive as possible or die.
Funny you say that since Balteur is the highlight for a lot of people,I know for a fact that synth himself struggled for more than an hour with him because I watched his stream Maybe that's why he gave it such a low score lol
@@niggardlylad2008 Oh dont get me wrong the feeling of empowerment in beating him was WELL worth it but he was still a pain for someone who's never played an AC game. Man...im gonna have to get the next one in 10 years. lmao ......also I bashed my head against that wall for more than 4 hours.....
As a longtime armored Core fan I too feel this game is just okay. I'm having a ton of fun with it because I love giant robots but I have way more critiques because of my experience with the series. They dumbed down a lot of operational in-depth customizations like the ability to balance your thrusters so if you wanted to have a quick turn but only on one side and not sacrifice weight by purchasing a different Thruster you had that option. They also need to add a downward thrust. Floating down or activate your booster that will only allow you to drop at 45 to 60° angle are your only options and they suck. Past armored Core devs made a game over a year ago on the switch called Daemon X machina and it had way more control and customization for your Mech than this game and I recommend it. The cutscenes and dialog are not great though.
Game of the year for me. Soundtrack is a haunting otherworldly masterpiece. So many weapons with different fire rates and completely different feel. So many weapons to try there is no way you wont love using multiple different ones. If you people just dont give up and dont have the i cant do it attitude, just try to have fun and learn and get better. This game has so much replayability because the harder enemies are always hard trying to beat them with different builds that arent meta. I spent 6 hrs on a boss between two days and finally beat it. I then played the mission again and beat it only after a couple tries. You can see and feel yourself get better. Its epic as hell and definitely my game of the year. If you dont like to actually be better just go play some normie npc goyslop that just tries to force diversity and just lame clown world crap.
Interesting conversation tactic: So your answer is to assume that I would prefer to play games that you don't like? Two questions: Did you come up with this all on your own or did you have help? Do you feel like a winner of this conversation now?@@robslams2324
Nearing the end of chapter 3 and I'm liking this game do far. I'm primarily using a lightweight build, but I did have to buy the tetrapod legs to bring more dakka to one particular encounter. Balteus fucked me up for a while until I used dual plasma missiles. I did better against SEA Spider but that boss is such a fucking sponge man. I ran out of ammo in at least 1 weapon on my most successful attempts.

you make fair points, I agree with everything you said in this review. However, I do feel like the story is a great part of the game that you missed. The intriguing lore is a big draw of old AC games, and it's main draw of this entry for me as well.
@@raskolnikov6443 But you can deduce it from that utterly idiotic Elden Ring ''critique'' he made. I love Synth, but he really is just a bitter depressed person sometimes. Every time he talks, I'm reminded of that South Park skit where everything turns to literal excrement for Stan. That's how Synth lives unironically. He's so down that he can't even recognize greatness anymore, instead saying people only praise it as such because they're so used to mediocrity. That's objectively untrue in cases like Elden Ring.
@TheStraightestWhitest Nah, you just seem to have trouble accepting that other people can have different opinions. Elden Ring is a really great 50 hour game that they decided to quadruple by making an open world filled with copies of shit you've already fought 4 times and I had to use my brain for about 5% of armored core 6, just like my mans said. But that's OK, we are 2 different people with 2 different opinions
Ibis isn't that bad with a lightweight compared to the other bosses using lightweight. If you are used to playing lightweight (as in actually lightweight with reverse joints/lightest bipedal) assault kicking him in the face is gonna stagger him often. It's about not being afraid to take damage to cripple him. I ALMOST got him on my third try not even knowing the 2nd phase existed and died 1 hit remaining. The other bosses with lightweight were a pain.
Dude really said you cant beat the ibis with a light weight, but I did....prepatch. Dont make fun of 'sure you could make the build and learn the patterns' when thats literally what you need to do. Learn the patterns, make the build, or stick with zims and stop complaining And yes, there is a upward dodge, its called jumping, more effective with *Reverse Joint* builds [hint hint] Also you didnt even pay attention to the story? Skill issue. Dont complain about a story if you didnt bother to pay attention. Synthetic man L
As an armored core fan, watching your review, I just nodded along, you have experienced what most armored core fans experience when they first pick up the series. Nothing that you said about the game is wrong, and it's true for the franchise. The reason why the armored core fanbase loves the random spikes in difficulties because it puts you in the place of the mercenary. On a lot of missions as a successful mercenary it's going to be very easy, but then there's going to be those random times wear something unexpected happens and you go through a difficult level barely able to survive and keep all their health, and right as you think you are about to complete the mission you get thrown a boss fight or something even more challenging. That brutal uncaring for the player character is what armored core fans love about it. You're just some guy who has to overcome the odds and take down the enemy. It does feel like it's a middleware game, but being a fan of the series that's what we enjoy. From software giving us exactly that, shows their commitment to pleasing the armored core fanbase who picked up the game all the way back on the PS1 rather than appealing to a mass-market. More companies need to do this. I'm glad it's not super appealing to normies, that way my fanbase won't be infested buy a bunch of fair-weather fans. I will continue to support from software and by their games as long as they do this. If you like this game I recommend you play the other ones as well. Even though some of the control designs for the really old games are pretty archaic, they are still really enjoyable games. -Good luck out there Raven
i can tell you why i needed 8 tries to kill the tutorial boss, after i figured out what i had to do in this game, i tried boosting after the boss to stagger him with the sword, upon which the boss would fly out of bounds, where i cant melee him 10/10 game design, i love restrictive open worlds (the levels are kinda open)
On my successful attempt at getting the S Rank for that mission, when Walter told me that now was my chance, I yelled “I can’t! He’s outside the play area!”
I personally didn't enjoy it much. I don't mind having to modify my AC to be better suited to a boss, what I do mind is having to change loadout, redo the mission all over again just to then be able to try my new build and maybe beat the boss. Also for the first tutorial boss, people report it going outside of the restricted area and pummeling you from a distance, without being able to strike back.
You can change your build without leaving the mission. It’s like the second option from the bottom whenever you get the game over screen. After you’re done hit restart from checkpoint.
If you ever played any other games made by Fromsoft, you should probably know their way of telling a story. Honestly, you did not even tried to undestand it, and then called it barebones. And 6/10 is really a trash tier joke, hate inducing but without a bit of humour to make it look like a clever joke.
I'm looking forward to a review in 1-2 weeks of Starfield. I can't wait to laugh at either how bad it's going to be tomorrow, or how impressive it's going to be. Probably will be somewhere between a 6-7 and the Bugthesda NPC's will tout it as a 10/10.

My CEL 240 kill was lightweight and pretty neat if you want to see how its possible. I actually loved it but you have to play it very differently than other bosses.
Yeah, same thing. After chapter 1 I played with reverse joints only, the trick is to use the jump as an upwards dodge. I tried a tank against that boss and struggled a lot.
11:54 - Chicken legs can jump very high and quickly into the air and function as an upward dodge. You do need to be grounded for them to work, but it's another positioning challenge to keep track of. I beat IBIS in like 5 tries with my lightweight mech with these technique.
out of the gate defensive review, call players woth diferent opinion from fanboys and npc's, and know his opinion its unpopular and yet doesnt question why a big number of people disagrees. you have the right to have a dumb opnion, but its till bad
While it certainly is a valid opinion to desire a game with a more consistent difficulty... Something to keep in mind is that a big deal of Armored Core's difficulty comes from your very build. If you think the gameplay feels "brain dead" because it allows you to kill most enemies in a few hits without bothering to learn anything about them, then the game offers a very easy solution which is to change into a weaker build that takes more skill to master. Sometimes the best challenges you can get in a game, are the ones you impose on yourself, after all. This is especially true in a game which has a lot of options for not just your arsenal, but also movement and overall stats.
Yea, I would sub cause I like direct content no BS. But not negative for the sack just being negative. I have enough negative trash in my life even though gaming has its ups and downs not going to sub to someone who only goes for the negative.
You had to be kidding, this game isn't difficult at all. With any build you can beat all the bosses in 2 or 3 tries. IB-01: CEL 240 is excellent, best boss in the game.
I’m glad all the comments are against what his opinion is. I love AC6 cause it’s reminiscent of the old but definitely updated to current gaming trends. A ton of unique builds PvP is intense and having new missions based on your play through prior, with S ranking all the missions and finding stuff etc in them is all just enough to make it replayable til they release a dlc or a new one.
I'm one of the people who got stuck on the "tutorial boss". I ended up giving up the game and going back to Mechwarrior 5 instead. I'll go back to AC6 at some point, but it's like you said: the game teaches you next to nothing in that tutorial stage, and the regular enemies are just there to be shot at. They pose absolutely no challenge to you. So to have the game throw a boss in your face where you absolutely DO need to know what you're doing when you just spent 15 minutes where you learned nothing and had to use nothing is just a bad design decision. The boss is also fond of flying out of bounds where you can't hit it with your better weapons, and the lock-on camera doesn't "lock on" in the slightest. It may be the worst camera FromSoft's ever made, which is saying something considering how awful their cameras have been. Yeah, I'm sure the boss is piss-easy if you know what you're doing, but by extension it's the 1st level. You DON'T know what you're doing, and you don't have access to the aspects of the game people praise like the mech customization. I know nothing about how best to manage Boost, so I got to use my beam saber, and suddenly I have no boost while the boss is alpha-striking me out of the air. It just feels cheap, and I'm not exactly new to FromSoft's bullshit at this point.
"teaches you next to nothing" said the ignorant that can't figure it out what game want you to do. And that "lock on" have soft lock-on that just an auto aim and hard lock-on that focus on on enemy, and this was explained in tutorial which is obviously you didn't even read. tl;dr Skill issue and good riddance to get filtered by the great filter-copter.
@r99azm80 And FromSoft fans are eternally perplexed as to why everyone hates them. Dude, I Platinumed Sekiro & Bloodborne, and I've completed Dark Souls 1; Nioh 1 & 2; and Stranger of Paradise. I'm not stranger to difficult games. I just think Armored Core 6's tutorial is really shit. You go from wailing on glorified target dummies to getting carpet-bombed by a boss that can spend 9/10 of the fight out of bounds while your camera spins around ineffectually.
@@broodwars64 yeah I do agree fromsoft fans are like hyper autistic but like you claim to have beaten all these games and yet you don't get how the tutorial boss operates? Aren't fromsoft games about learning patterns? did you even LEARN anything about fromsoft during your time achieving "platinum" on them? well from what I have gathered from these comments you also kinda proved why people hate us anyways and why we argue with each other all the time, well thanks for reminding me this annoying fact yet again.
@@broodwars64The out of bounds can be easily fixed by baiting the boss via taking cover. Handler Walter literally tells you to use your blade, It's not that hard to figure out.
It's nice to see an outside perspective of somebody who doesn't play AC games. This review basically tells us the game everything we want it to be, and some things new players might not want it to be. My 1 question, is there an ammo limit? The other games in the franchise have fodder enemies that you can 1 shot but if you do you will not have enough ammo to win the boss fight so you should leave them up or use melee. It's important to mention some fights are supposed to have a huge difficulty spike and kill you to change the story if you fail compared to if you beat them. The failure condition is intended. They just do it the way real life works instead of linear "this boss is unbeatable and killed you, now play the FMV and advance the story from here" that most games do. I haven't played the game but it looks like a 10/10 for the fanbase. I'd much prefer games targeted at a fanbase than yolo games trying to be mainstream everything and being nothing.
The difficulty is not inconsistent. You just don't understand the game-play loop. The really hard bosses are end-chapter bosses. There are only a few of them. The rank and file enemies are the most abundant and of course, the easiest. The sub bosses are in the middle. I don't know how you don't understand the basics of the story, as straight forward as it is.
For me, your the best channel on YT for gaming reviews. Plus... you dont give shyt about hype or pleasing the masses. I wouldnt play this game at all to be honest and i only looked at it bc u posted a video lol. Keep posting.
I remember watching you first play tank and yeah, it's definitely more braindead gameplay. Tanks/quad dominating is a result of hard lock. I don't care what any fanboy says, 40-60% of the gameplay in old armored core games is just you trying to keep a target lock and it could be rather difficult with heavier builds. (Not that I mind hard lock actually, just wanted to point it out) Tank builds were certainly easy mode back then too, but at least you had to try and aim. I've played almost all the Armored core games (Minus Last Raven, Formula Front, and Verdict day) and I knew this game was going to be meh. I knew most non-fans wouldn't like it and even I don't really like it all that much. (It's ok, nothing special. Not nearly as good as 3) I much prefer the earlier versions (3 and prior). 4 just made the game way too fast and anime-like. AC6 feels like a bad, confused compromise with an injection of souls-like elements. I think the repair kits emphasize this the most, serving no other purpose than to force you to press a button to get the rest of your AP. The earlier versions were more about endurance and the easier mobs more of a tax. WTB Chromehounds 2 or Mech Assault 3 or something. Want me slow paced mech game instead of this boost spam shite.

I appreciate comments like these from yall ac hipsters lol
You all deserve to be eating after like a decade
@@SuperSamZero69I didn’t say it was shit, just not quite up to snuff, maybe they’ll fix it in a sequel/expansion like they always do, though.

Definitely feels like a mid project... I'm really disappointed with it
It's hard for a project to be successful if the devs don't have confidence that it will be.
@@led-0185Funny you mention Ace Combat because Armored Core is kinda considered a sibling series among some fans
Good point. Imagine if this game had a development time like Elden Ring.
Well AC6 is actually a PS4 game, and it runs very well on it. Perhaps your PC can handle it well
@@silentservant_ I sure hope so.

At least it's a fun 7/10. It's a nice game to put on when your pissed off.

its a damn fun 7.5/10 game that doesnt try to bullshit you in anyway. it does unfortunately suffer from the slow casualization of Fromsoft games in general, but i cant lie and say i havent throughly enjoyed my time through NG++. it has its low points but it also has some pretty damn high ones.
Not stupid much respect. I’ve been running a mid Gatling gun reverse joint build or a lightweight version with laser rifles.

Oh yeah definitely, its was most likely made to also see if interest in armored core was even still a thing. Turns out it was.

Based take. The game is mad fun and has a cool vibe

@@arkgaharandan5881it's honestly a brilliant balance and I love it.

You should play it two more times. There are 3 endings and more things happen with the story with each playthrough.

I would say 8 out of 10 but I do not like that their seems to be less weapons and AC parts than AC4.

@@GeorgePerakisthe environments in 6 aren't much better. Utterly lifeless. Evergreen the barren buildings look terrible
"modern Fromsoft fans are basically npc's"
Truer words were never spoken.
Nah lol
Niche games are always hard to review when you're not part of the fandom
Because simply having an enemy stalled out for 3 seconds is massive, like
but certain game bosses have hp pools so fucking massive that without stagger the fights are an exercise in frustration.

@@f1shze4lot true. I wish every game still had its own little tight community. Back before mlg and trendsetters had gotten their hands on games.
The comparison between Dark Soul and AC6 from other sources and even youtuber is stupid, like come on dude Dark Soul is about trial and error + getting mindbreak while AC6 is your fun gunning and mauling guilty pleasure.

unpopular opinion but if they bring back the l1 l2 r1 r2 camera controls i think the game would be a lot cooler. it makes it really feel like your piloting and not just playing a third person shooter
Sounds like every other fromsoft game tbh
I’m having a blast trying to figure out builds that work for me
@@smoothduck7151 That's so wrong I don't even know where to begin. You can beat Midir SL1 fist only...
The game isn’t 70 bucks goofy
Another review feels AI generated, did you play the game
Also the game has core and parts parts tuning, what are you talking about?
@@vulcanmemes9770 That's not what parts tuning means, dumb dumb. You could tune the individual parts in previous games but that's impossible here. All you can ever do in Armored Core 6 is switch out individual parts for better or worse parts, but tuning them to your liking is impossible.
7/10 sounds like a pretty reasonable score, I don't understand why people are upset.

It’s refreshing to see a critic that actually provides valid criticism even for something he likes. That’s what we need more of today and what modern media has left to die. Absolutely love the videos. Keep up the good work man. 👍
Are you saying other critics don't provide valid criticisms for something they like?
Other critics are shills duh
@@DatLazyBoi vast majority of critics don’t. That or they downplay the severity of the criticisms in favor of saying the game is still “great”.
If you want an example. Go look up “Video Game Reviews” and check out how many videos there are that claim a video game is a (MASTERPIECE)
Then compare them to Synths videos. I think he literally only has like one or two videos claiming something to be that. Every other one is reasonable with some level of merit to it.
Modern reviewers are shills and drags more interested in getting review copies then actually objectively stating their beliefs. That or their tastes are trash in the first place.

Yeah I was confused about that as well.
Here’s a thought, maybe they just… you know, liked the game?
Gotta love synthetics extra super hardcore edgelords chime in with their brain dead commentary

Its a dumb fun game with nice aesthetics
I wonder why people use the word "masterpiece" on every fucking game they like.
Gamers are the main problem of this industrie.

Make sure you play through it 3 more times as things change on extra playtroughs
I can kind of see why it earned that nickname. For whatever reason I'm having a hard time getting into it, like it just isn't sucking me in
The game is more fun to experiment with many parts rather than sticking to one single OP build.

you make fair points, I agree with everything you said in this review. However, I do feel like the story is a great part of the game that you missed. The intriguing lore is a big draw of old AC games, and it's main draw of this entry for me as well.
Does this look like the kind of dude that has the attention span for story?
@@Bahamut998 you honestly can’t deduce any of that from the way he looks. Just seems like a bitter comment from someone who is angry.
oh come on the story in ac games is hidden in the mission briefings and emails.
But that's OK, we are 2 different people with 2 different opinions
people forget this is what armored core always was mostly........it never was dark souls. I always liked it for what it actually is
Ibis isn't that bad with a lightweight compared to the other bosses using lightweight.
Learn the patterns, make the build, or stick with zims and stop complaining
And yes, there is a upward dodge, its called jumping, more effective with *Reverse Joint* builds [hint hint]
Also you didnt even pay attention to the story?
-Good luck out there Raven
also you need some level where you can earn money easily
“no way to dodge upwards” you my friend, should try reversing your knees.
i can tell you why i needed 8 tries to kill the tutorial boss, after i figured out what i had to do in this game, i tried boosting after the boss to stagger him with the sword, upon which the boss would fly out of bounds, where i cant melee him
10/10 game design, i love restrictive open worlds (the levels are kinda open)
On my successful attempt at getting the S Rank for that mission, when Walter told me that now was my chance, I yelled “I can’t! He’s outside the play area!”
Dark Souls 2 is good. I wish people would stop parroting e-celebs.

Looking forward to trying this game down the line, the combat looks great and I think I can handle the difficulty spikes with the right build.
Yup. Keep tinkering and you can beat it all! Good luck.
This is especially true in a game which has a lot of options for not just your arsenal, but also movement and overall stats.
synth man even when a game is really good you lean towards the negative my dood
That's pretty much his bread and butter for all his vids
Yea, I would sub cause I like direct content no BS. But not negative for the sack just being negative. I have enough negative trash in my life even though gaming has its ups and downs not going to sub to someone who only goes for the negative.

You had to be kidding, this game isn't difficult at all. With any build you can beat all the bosses in 2 or 3 tries.
IB-01: CEL 240 is excellent, best boss in the game.
Not any build...cmon let's be real.
This video did more to sell me on the game than any other. Honest reviews are the best.
