The BeeGees kicked up their talent and skills with this song. They were suddenly in a new dimension with their music leaving their classic sound behind and headed for disco stardom.
Since Mo had a falsetto run in this song, Barry was asked by the producer to do a high falsetto scream near the end of the song which helped Barry to find that he could sing higher than basically anyone else in the music business in his god given high falsetto voice.
I love that we get to hear Barry's deeper natural voice in this one, as well as his high stuff. Toss in Robin's vocals, Maurice's harmonies and supporting vocals 😍 and well the musicians and ...... ❤️
Love your reactions! You get so into the music and groove of a song and vocals. Glad you don’t try to break down the lyrics and the meaning of the song like others that do reaction vids. You just enjoy the vibe of a song. Oh yeah, Bee Gees were fantastic too, lol.
This song is still the grooviest pop music it was in 1975. The Bee Gees had such an amazing band playing and recording with them. Always funky keyboards, guitars, drums, and their incredible singing. Try "Boogie Child," from that era, if you get a chance.
Barry sang baritone and played guitar, Robin sang a somewhat quavering falsetto on verses, and Maurice played bass and knocked it out of the park with his high falsetto
I really enjoyed watching you enjoy this song you are so fun to watch and I’ve had a really crappy day watching you brightened my day. This song is freaking awesome. You sure do know some good music girlfriend.😅
Fantastic song, one of their best that a lot of people aren't familiar with. "Fanny be Tender" is another great Bee Gees song that someone mentioned below that's as good as this.
@@luisalonsoecheverria watch the video of Barry Gibb interviewed by Piers Morgan, he says Nights of Broadway was the first time he tried the high falsetto and it stuck.
When they were singing at high falsetto and doing the echo on the nights on Broadway that wasn't very who normally sings the high falsetto that was actually Maurice the other dark-haired brother the one that usually plays an instrument he was hitting them really high notes to he's got a great falsetto just like Barry.
I think Maurice's falsetto was just for live performances, like the Midnight Special, since Barry sings lead. Which, if you haven't seen that one, a very good performance too.
This is a totally different genre, but I think you'd like Heroes and Villains, by the Beach Boys. Multi-layered harmonies, the left/right experience, super high falsetto and some of the vocals are so unique they're almost funny.
The Bee Gees have to be one of the most unfairly maligned groups in history. Their chart history is filled with gorgeous pop songs, and then more Miami based R&B. As far as I can see, they only have a handful of songs that are true disco and just a treasure trove of other greatness. Take this.....not a disco song.
Scribe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now it's time for real Funk. Sly and the Family Stone " Thank You(Falletme be mice elf agin). Scribe will be seriously dig the vibe. Too funky for words!!!!
Agree this isn’t disco. Disco blows big time. This song is great. For me, this was the beginning of the end for them. For them, it was just before they exploded into insane popularity. After Fanny, they had one more song I liked - Too Much Heaven. Everything else was really disco, and I despised disco.

You should check out some Michael McDonald, loads of great songs starting with The Doobie Brothers in the 70's. Maybe start off with I Keep Forgettin' from the 80's.
Girls can't hit those notes naturally because of their naturally High voices maybe not every girl but most women could hit those notes Batman we have to go to a different place to hit those notes and only a few can do it we have to go to a falsetto and it's almost a screaming voice but you can hit them high notes I know because I can get to that high falsetto but I can't carry a tune other than that I can hit them high notes they're hitting but I can't hit the medium on Lower notes at my voice cracks ever since I was a teenager ain't been able to touch him before that I could hit a few of them but after that no way
My all time favorite Bee Gees song

First time Barry really used his falsetto. Totally changed the sound of the band.
Since Mo had a falsetto run in this song, Barry was asked by the producer to do a high falsetto scream near the end of the song which helped Barry to find that he could sing higher than basically anyone else in the music business in his god given high falsetto voice.
Might be a perfect song.....
My fav one by BGS
It is perfect
Yup.
Perfect Song , , The BeeGees defined an entire genre of music and generation. Its excellent to see one so young enjoying true funk/Disco
This was our very first time Barry shared that beautiful falsetto with the world.
Barry’s falsetto was just out of control in that epic song!
I love that we get to hear Barry's deeper natural voice in this one, as well as his high stuff. Toss in Robin's vocals, Maurice's harmonies and supporting vocals 😍 and well the musicians and ...... ❤️
I thought that was Maurice doing the falsetto.
Carlos Aponte Robin is the first falsetto then Barry’s falsetto on the chorus. Both and the bridge.
You are right ALL falsettos are made by Barry

That HBO Max documentary of theirs brought me to this track today. I didn't know this song was the first time Barry Gibb used his falsetto.
Had this song playing on repeat for 90 minutes. No problem!
This and Fanny are my favorite! And, I have their whole collection.
Great reaction this song is definitely 🔥
You should’ve watch the one where you can actually see them singing it is a really cool video. But this is beautiful as well.

This was the first song I'd ever heard of the BeeGees when i was 8 and not only did it get me hooked, i also fell in love with Robin's voice.😃

That was Maurice with the falsettos in this song, not Barry. Some solo parts done by Robin.

Just makes you want to dance round your room and be happy !! what great performers they were, I loved your reaction absolutely spot on........:-)
This song is where Barry found his falsetto that gave them there legendary sound in the late seventies.
Actually, the song where Barry found his falsetto was "Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)".
@@luisalonsoecheverria No it wasn't ,it was this track, Nights on Broadway, it's common knowledge really, do your research.

Maurice was doing the falsetto in this one, while Barry did lead and Robin did the fill in :)
I think Maurice's falsetto was just for live performances, like the Midnight Special, since Barry sings lead.
