I always though the C MP marked "Canadian LE model" AR barrels were Colt because how Diemaco marked their barrels. I had no idea they were Diemaco cold hammer forged barrels... Chris, you are a wealth of knowledge!
Hello from Canada Every video you make is great Chris Love that you're reviewing my country's rifle Please read the first letter of each line to understand how our firearms community feels about our laws
@@chimo1961 Obvisouly a Canadian that migrated. We still own them, and will not give them up. The only whining will be from the ones trying to take our arms.
@@WildRose_Weaponry nope still live here and will fight any attempts to arm the ignorant and untrained. you want to use an assault weapon, then man up and join the Military. Just got a batch of these in to transfer to Michigan State Police officers. I got to keep 4. One of them is a Colt Canada/Deimaco LE6920 with a serial number less then 100. Barrel is marked CC MP. BCG and upper receiver have Deimaco markings. Also came with a Cardinal Forge detachable carry handle. Super happy I was able to snag these
Thanks I just found one in store and picked it up, I can confirm that the barrel on mine is marked CC. I knew it was special when I saw it and something told me I just had to get it. Thank you for the info!!
Great video, very informative. A buddy of mine picked up one of those Canadian Colts for $750 last year at a local gun shop, and he had no idea what he had til he showed me. I don’t know if he qualified with it yet, I told him not to modify it and buy something else he could use on duty.
I used to have one of these rifles. It was the same variant featured here with the fixed A2 carry handle upper and pencil barrel. It was an exceedingly nice rifle, but I never shot it, so I wound up selling it.
silly point but our military isn't referred to as the Canadian defence force(s) but as either the Canadian armed forces or at one point just Canadian forcea
You gotta collaborate with Ian and Carl from Inrange Tv and Forgotten Weapons, Chris you gotta come out of your shell and shoot some historic firearms lol Much love from a patreon supporter
Do a follow up vid on the colt ce-2000. Had one for like two years now and it the smoothest operating bolt on an At that I have ever run. I think mine came with a standard le-6920 though. Same hammer and stuff it appears to be
Im so glad to see your videos are back up and your rocking out new ones! Was very sad when you got Shoahd from UA-cam. You plan on getting anything from Norinco ARs? Would love to see you cover some history on them
Holy moley... this is probably "old news" to others, but to me... 😁 It looks like a few weeks ago you are back on UA-cam. Great! This is one of my favorite channels... and I am happy to use Full30 and so on, but I firmly agree that all gun content should overrun and infest UA-cam like barnacles until they accept the Bill of Rights values of the nation in which they enrich themselves as a platform provider. Love it! 🤓
I have seen some LE Colt rifles marked Made in Canada. They also had the Diemaco logo on the upper and bolt carrier. I did notice the barrel was not marked CC. Does this the barrel's were not made by Diemaco? That would be strange since all the other parts were made by Diemaco.
Any particular reason colt Canada doesn’t release rifles to the US market? And i know they do release some rifles to the Canadian market, any way to import those into the US?
Ya It really kinda sucks for both US and Canadian shooters. Probably a lot more for Canadian shooters. Up here they have put out a number of runs of Colt Canada IUR's at the same spec minus full auto obviously to the public, though they go quick, and are pricey. But they are damn nice rifles. My buddy has one and it is a hell of a rifle. And Canadians can't even buy rifle scopes, or anything that is considered a "Military" grade item, and in my opinion is just way too broad. I tell you, if these ITAR laws where loosened, even with the conversion rate. Canadian shooters would be buying tons of stuff from the US. Lots of great American optics I would love to have easier access too, than one or maybe two Canadian importers bringing them in in small batches.
I live in Canada and I can most certainly buy ANY scope or optic I can afford, no restrictions on them at all, where did you get that info from it is TOTALLY wrong!
Yes the majority of the major brands you can definitely get in Canada. That's not what I'm saying. I'm talking about the ITAR laws. Which make it illegal for American optics to be sold to Canada straight from the retailers. Optics like Tract optics, and even Primary Arms, only has one company in Canada that imports them, and they are sold out half the time. I've seen deals on optics in the US, even with our dollar would still be a good deal. You're obviously missing the point...
Why did Colt use screws instead of just a takedown pin on their civilian rifles? I just don't really see the logic in it, though I don't know why they made slabside lowers for so long either.
SmallArmsSolutions i also have their c7 20in civilian version a ddv7s a norinco cqa10.3 and a m&p 15T i love the colt canada rifles tho definitely my favourite. We dont have import restrictions like you guys just shit gun laws
Obergruppenfürhrer John Smith right? This isn’t the late 19th century where a company could just order their “employees” into the box car and ship them wherever they want
I dont see the colt 6520 listed as a current product, is it by special order only? That model brings back alot of memories, and Ive always preferred iron sights.
As I understand it the British sas used these weapons.... Can anyone give me the reason as to why, as I understand it was to do with politics that they didn't use the USA made m16..?
It's because colt went bankrupt and the British government wouldn't do business with a company that went bankrupt within like 10 years, also the American made m4s didn't meet the SAS standards. Also the gun the SAS uses isn't this one they use the Colt Canada SFW, made specifically to meet the SAS standards.
Partially pragmatic partially political. Colt proper had just been bankrupt in the 90’s and the MoD wouldn't do business with a company that had been bankrupt within the previous 15 years. As well the Brits have had a bit of a long held aversion to buying American guns for their military. Diemaco/Colt Canada is also considered a superior development/manufacturing firm to Colt proper, and since the SAS wanted a special rifle developed and to not just buy a pre-existing model off the self from Colt, they went with Colt Canada Diemaco.
The Canadian rifle C8 was also much superior built that a planned competition that was suppose to replace it in 2014 was cancelled because its was so well liked, reliable and successful. To this day the C8 have expanded to not just the SAS and the SBS but the Special Forces Support Group, the Pathfinder Platoon 16 Air Assault Brigade, 43 Commando Fleet Protection Group Royal Marines, Royal Military Police Close Protection Team and the MOD Police.
Personally, I am about to finish my BCL-102. I wish I could have a Colt Canada AR, but, our dumb ass ridiculous contradictory laws just make me avoid them.

Hey what are your thoughts on the new colt le6920 R trooper. Thanks for the great content, I’ve learned a lot from your videos
@ 13:01, Colt optics are on backwards
Not my picture
This is interesting. The brass is getting thrown to the 2 o'clock position. Over gassed? I'd still take it, if I could a ford it.
The barrel gets hot fairly quick I can see, probably because of the thinner profile of the barrel I suppose !
I gotta be that guy and point out that i think the carry handle scope in the reference picture was on backwards
Any particular reason colt Canada doesn’t release rifles to the US market? And i know they do release some rifles to the Canadian market, any way to import those into the US?
Hermann2416 importation restriction by the US Government

Kennard Lang was not logic. It was to prevent using military parts on a semi automatic rifle.
So where can I buy a rifle like this?
Is there any chance that you review the ColtCanada MRR?
Vicario love to but I don’t know of any in the US

I've only just found the new channel after the old one got canned
Why doesn’t Colt Defense just bring the same engineers and CNC machines from Colt Canada to Connecticut and make the same rifles?
Liberty or Death Colt Canada is responsible for all Canadian Forces Weapons maintenance and overhaul.
Plus, I can imagine that a lot of those Engineers don't want to just up and move to a different country

Didn't the Canadian Defence Force adopt the Colt LMG? I was pretty sure they did and if not why do I see so many of them in the CDF's hands?
3 7 they have sold them I believe to Norway and Holland.
We now use the m249 fr a light machine gun and the m240 as a gpmg.
