My mommy was in cogic i was raise..but did not know till i was older..but around my friends..i think i spoke in tongues..and people sd there was something abt me..all i know i had dreams abt things in the bible..and never read it as a young girl of 10-12 years old..now i know ..feel.. and was healed at 4 yrs old.from a prayer band!
We WERE all something before we came to Christ. Abraham was an idolater, he worshipped idols and came from a family that worshiped idols, until God called him out of it. So what you’re saying is not surprising it doesn’t make a difference. He gave his life to God and turn from his idolatry just like Abraham did just like I did and just like any other Christian did.

I have a question? and don't ask it to offend any COGIC members, why do the women wear those hats during church? some look like costly array hats!!! I know a women is supposed to cover her head, but from what I have studied that's why she shouldn't cut her hair cause it's her covering!!!
When our church first started we believed in covering the hair with dollies or prayer scarfs. As times change more women started to wear hat instead of the scarfs. as time went further on and hats became more elaborate and statement pieces it started to become a custom I guess for the hats to be big and decorative

I have another great grandfather from the same place and online I can't find any info but he sure did own way to much land to be a slave and he had a biblical name.
