I hope you enjoy this video guide to Salem, Massachusetts. For some reason, the section on the John Ward House got deleted in the edit? (That’s worth visiting too). Other than that, I hope you found this video travel guide helpful. Be sure to share, and subscribe for more like this.
Thanks! I'm definitely working on it, but these things take forever to edit. (I wish they didn't). I think if I wanted to be less helpful and be like those 'Top 10' videos, I could crank these out a lot faster.
There's definitely an element of the city cashing in on it's notoriety. I met a woman who was born in Salem, who tells me that it never used to be like this. That it used to be better without all the witch themed stuff everywhere. Saying that - it's still a very pleasant town to visit, though I understand why residents hate it in October!
I've been to Amsterdam many times. I've yet to film it for UA-cam. I'm sure if I get around to it, I'll probs do an Ajax tour. The Stadium Tours videos are dying a horrible death though, so there's not much incentive to make more.
This was shot back in March, but the best time to go would be right about now until just after Halloween. If you're planning on seeing this place for yourself, now's the time! 😉
I was surprised that it was so laid back. I had a feeling that it would be a sleepy town, and it's certainly very quaint and stereotypical. It's definitely worth a day to explore if you're coming to Boston.
I love Salem! Worth going to visit especially in October! I left flowers on the memorial for Giles Corey because I found that he was my 9th great-grandfather just before leaving New Mexico and wanted to honor his memory! His first wife Mary Corey is buried in the cemetery located right by the memorial before the witch trials started.
@@UltimateBucketList Yes to both statements. In 2015 I took my daughter and grandson to Salem in October and we all pad our respects as some of his 9th, 10th and 11th great-grand children placed flowers on his memorial stone. The witch trials take on a different meaning when you realize that one of your family was a victim. I have always been interested in Salem, but it is different when you find out your family was accused. If at all possible go to Salem in October you won’t forget it!

Just in time for Spooky Season!
@@racheljackson4428 indeed!
Well done as always my friend. When will you be posting the Boston guide?

I live here. Watch video out of curiosity. Don’t come it’s a big scam and we all hate the October traffic

Great timing for Halloween 🎃🎃
Absolutely! I hope you get to visit Salem for Halloween - it does come recommended!
Celebrate Halloween in your own city
Love this
Thank you very much!
Would you ever visit Amsterdam? If so, would you do a stadium tour of Ajax?

I have never watched videos on Salem. Two weeks ago I just started watching videos about Salem…then you post this video. Very coincidental hahaha
Very co-incidental indeed!
Can you start watching videos on winning the lottery, so that I can make a video about me winning the lottery too?! 😆
Salem is strange would not recommend visiting and crime is always there. you have to keep walking ignore some of crowds
I didn't find it to be all that strange to be honest.
I mean sure; there's a lot of weird stuff around - but at no point did I ever feel unsafe here.
Always wanted to go
I hope you do one day!
It's a quaint charming little city - definitely laid-back and fun time vibes in this place 🙂
Urban slum
What time of the year were you visiting?

Hi Ninh, great to see the history of Salem in the video.

Oh wow! That's an amazing story - you're related to Giles Corey!
And yes Salem is very very cool - I can imagine this is awesome around October time.

Glad to see you didn't piss off a witch and get turned into a toad haha
I might have already pissed off several witches, and I'm sadly still a human.
Life as a toad would be so much easier. There's less taxes to pay.
@@UltimateBucketList good point, never looked at it that way
