I always appreciate the videos that you post and the information that you provide.
As a mom of 3 daughters (all with locs) it's always nice to be able to show them someone (other than myself and my husband) who looks like them, has hair like theirs and uses her platform to educate and enlighten.
    Thank you!

Behabtwa Thank you :) edges are so fragile. Have to be very gentle with them and apply no pressure/tugging. And give them lots of breaks 💛

Only by going plant based and cutting out sugar and sugary carbs did I eliminate all but the most minor and occasional outbreaks on my body, never my scalp anymore. I also make my own soap.

What a beautiful crown you have. I’m glad you found an alternative that’s giving great results.....how often are you washing? And pls give us the deets on your skin care routine. You’re glowing ✨😍

Dorasgard3n thank you :) I’m trying to figure out my filming setup for the skincare routine vid 💛 Right now I am washing every 2-3 weeks which is a huge improvement - a year ago I was at 2-3 times a week

Thank you for the update! Your locs are so stunning!!
Your channel was the first to clue me in that what I suddenly was suffering from starting in my late 30s was seborrheic dermatitis. Got it confirmed by my dermatologist. I've been hearing the buzz on MCT oil being friendly to SD. I have some and I may try it.
And *YES, please, please do a dry routine* because I too can't sit under the dryer because...scalp on fire.

I have started this routine before my loc journey in the next couple of weeks. My scalp felt so awesome after the first wash and oil application. I used peppermint and tea tree oil in the mct. An added bonus, I used the probiotic soap on my face and my nooks and crannies (not the mucous membranes) which is great for the skin.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

The length and weight is the reason why I cut my locs that were butt length and restarted with micro locs

I cut mine to shoulder length twice now. My neck couldn't take the weight, especially on shampoo days. I have super dense locs and thick hair. Kudos to those who can manage it.💞

Heyy I love this video and love your locs. Question so after you do your wash routine, how long does it last before you have to wash it again. Does you scalp stay flake free for a while?

Stop eating eggs and remove all dairy products from your diet and use mct oil for your scalp and see if that works ! I had sd for years and that’s the only things that worked but I do miss eggs and regular ice cream

    • @ashlynprather45
      @ashlynprather45 3 роки тому +2

There’s vegan ice cream and if you add black salt to tofu , it will taste like eggs. Also you can get a egg replacer or justegg. The Mct oil did work for me, I think I’m testing to see if it was the thing that helped me last year.

Right! I had seborrheic dermatitis for 4 years before I decided to start a pescatarian lifestyle plus I cut dairy. I haven’t had any flare ups in 3.5 years

I’m so sorry if I missed but how often do you wash your hair? I currently use medicated shampoo but the real champion is the steroid lotion. I wash my hair weekly but I’ve just started locks and know that it’s advised for people to wash their hair less often. I’m still trying to decide how often I’ll go I might try for every two weeks but I was just curious what you’re doing? Thank you so much for the helpful video and look forward to watching more of them. Have a blessed day ☺️

Hi Loccrush! I have seborrheic dermatitis as well as psoriasis on my scalp and use prescription shampoos as well. I can't wait to try out the shampoo scrub to see if it offers me some relief. Have you had any problems getting it out of your locs completely? I read the reviews for it and a lot of people said that it left behind little black residue / grit that they had a hard time getting out. Have you had that experience? My locs are 10 months and I tend to over worry about build-up lol

How often do you moisturise/oil your scalp?
And also do you have a face care routine video? You mentioned you exfoliate everyday, I'd like to know what you use as I have super sensitive skin and if I was to exfoliate everyday I'd probably cause my skin to break out.

You have a video from some years back where you made your shampoo with dr bronners eucalyptus, coconut water, and aloe ver gel! I have been using that recipe FOR YEARS and it has been the best think ever! Just wondering… did you stop making your shampoo because you had a reaction??🤔

I have a question I need someone to answer please
so my locs are to my shoulders and I have a lot of dreads that are skinny now I wanna combine the dreads but I don’t want the 2 strand look because I feel like it’s weird & it looks uneven...I’ve seen videos of people that use the crochet tool to combine it and I’ve tried to find someone that can do it but can’t find anyone I’m in Sacramento Ca if yaw have a method you’ve used yourself please let me know or if anyone else has a method please let me know or if you guys know any hair lady in my city that can do it please get back to me !!

What I have done is just twist two locs together at the root. Nothing fancy. Eventually they marry and turn into “double headed dragons”. You can always cut one of the Loc ends off 💛

I also have SD and I have always been advised not to use anything with coconut oil in it. Which is hard since almost everything does and I see some of the products you recommended does too. Have you not had flash issues with using coconut included products ?

Please just use a medicated shampoo specially recommended by your dermatologist, an antifungal shampoo that over the counter products dont have.. and please dont sell half baked information ,studies prove coal tar shampoo does not cause cancer. And you need to wash daily.
    Seborrhea literally means dandruff.
