- Part two of the wonderful time Jeanette and I spent together, getting to know each other, playing with clay and having a laugh.
Please hop over to part one if you haven't seen it as it will make much more sense to watch them in chronological order.
If you haven't followed Jeanette yet, pop over to her channel and press the subscribe Button, she does brilliant kiln openings and is the glaze Queen with her wonderful combos.

Hi Kimberly, thankyou so much. There wasn't much of a plan we just winged it and it seemed to work ok 😊
I watched the whole video and i enjoyed it so much seeing you two busy with clay. Yes an example for potters to follow up this great idea to meet and do a workshop.
Now..... i am waiting for the next video when your works are glazed. Maybe after that an exchange of works between you two?
Succes ladys Julia and Jeanette.

So excited to wake up and see part 2 available. I have loved watching your collab. The banter and watching your creations come to life. Love your pumpkin and vase and can’t wait to see how they turned out. I also loved watching Jeanette’s thought process with creating the Lattice bowl.
This was super fun to watch. Well done.
Thankyou Trace, it was a lot of fun to do. So glad it was enjoyable to watch. Congratulations and good luck in your new job too, I heard the news on Nats video this morning 😊 xx
@@ceramicsbyjulia8552 thanks Julia, my first week in my new job was a little up n down but I think once I settle in it will be amazing. Also I have just uploaded my very first UA-cam video under TJ’s clay creations. New beginnings for everything. ☺️
Wow such great news Trace, I shall look up your video now. Glad the job is going to work well for you xx
Nice to watch part 2❤
Glad you enjoyed Ellen ❤️
Thank you for these video's, loved the chatter, wish I had a pottery pal to share my studio with. Must try the lattice bowl . Cheers from Western Australia
Hi Jennifer, I'm glad you enjoyed them, we loved our time together 😊
I’m so glad to see this has been uploaded! Just want to let you know Julia that I was watching you make the two half spheres at the table and I’ve been making pinch pumpkins so I thought it would be fun to make a few like this and I did lastnight!! What are you doing when you paddle the ball? Are you making the seems overlap better? Your beach globe piece sounds amazing!! I can’t wait to see it.
Hi lovely, so lovelynto hear from you, I am refining the shape and making the seems tighten up, I really love paddling clay it's so therapeutic 😊 Xx
@@ceramicsbyjulia8552AAW HONEY YOURE so sweet! I can tell you reallllly like paddling your clay!! Omgosh hahaha!! I’m so glad to see you’re making a pumpkin!! I have to comment as I go or I’ll forget what I want to say so I’m still watching. ❤ oh and in the last video I forgot to tell you that I have the wine cooler mold!! It’s so dang big. I got it recently. It was so odd because it says on the side of mine that it’s made to be used with stoneware slip! I’ve never seen that on a mold before. I’ve been slipcasting since the late 90’s!! Oooh I love your little swirl on the pumpkin!! I used to put those on my pumpkins but they dry too fast and are so hard to glaze! Lol. Canned air helps get things out of molds soo well!! Putting a pool noodle or two under the pieces when each side comes out of the mold might help it stay round. Just fyi.
@micheledickey4066 oh wow, amazing that you have that wine cooler mould, mine just says wine cooler and doesn't specify what clay.
I gave Jeanette the pumpkin as a gift and she managed to get it home in one piece.
I forgot how much I love making pumpkins I'm thinking of doing a big one 😊
@@ceramicsbyjulia8552Yes isn’t that crazy!? I’m just now finishing the rest of the video. Had to take my dog out and get something to eat. lol. That’s so sweet of you to give her the pumpkin! I think the wine cooler would look beautiful if you used it as a wall vase!! You two are so much fun to watch! Love the conversation between you two. I have yet to make a tea pot as well! There are so many steps especially when handbuilding!! I don’t know if I should comment here to comment to Jeanette or go to her channel! Hahaha. But I love using colored slips to splatter on the inside of the mold and then pour it!! Yes engobe is just colored slip. It can be used on greenware or bisque. If you were to place a flat board on the top it would probably help you get a more even top? Omg I’m done watching! Lol!! I can’t wait to see what you learned in your class!!
Ahh thsnkyou Michele, we really loved our time together. Yes the eine cooler would be great on the wall. We enjoyed the workshop, it was surface decoration. I have the small piece I made there and Jeanette and I decorated the pieces we made with the surface decoration style, it was just practice as I didn't have the right tools at home for it. Xx
