I cheered so much when I saw Hadrian mentioned in the last announcement video made by Hinterland.
Hinterland said in their announcement that you would always start in the same location on Misery.

And to echo Hadrian, all the other three players (and Hadrain!) are fantastic to watch.
The first thing you picked up was a cattail! This is an omen for good things to come. Nothing bad will happen in this playthrough. Nope. Everything will be awesome. I'm sure of it.

Sadly I wasn’t able to watch the premiere live on this occasion, as I was out with my Mum celebrating her birthday 🎁🥳🍸 - shame as it’s been a while since the last one, but looking forward to seeing how you deal with misery mode. I suspect you will cope well as your usual AAO code is “interloper plus”. Also look forward to joining you as you embark on the final part of TFTFT in the near future. ❤
Starting location, if I recall correctly, Raphael said in the update video they are keeping it the same for now to preserve balance. Presumably, this is something they will review once they have some player data?

Pathing after finding the hammer I think is super interesting. Because youre right, you can ether go to forlorn muskeg or desolation point from PV as the two closest forges. For many months I took the desolation point route but if youre not fast enough the cold in that area is a killer but also forlorn muskeg is my least favorite area and its so easy to get hypothermia from a single wrong step. Something ive been experimenting with lately though is going to Milton (mountain town) from mystery lake and go south from the town down the double rope, that takes you to the north west side of fm skipping about 90% of the map. This also lets me stop by HRV for a couple days to pick up the bed roll and hacksaw.
I had to rewatch this from what I missed during the premier, and I missed the barn
I like having more modes, but we really need an official stalker-loper, or enable feats for customs.
I'm back!!! Sad I missed the party and I'm SOOOO far behind it isn't even funny. And my membership went away temporarily bc I got a new card and had to update the info. Ooof. I'm the worst.

One more reason To play the game in metric mode. The main argument is, They wrote it in metric and all the weight measurements come out in even increments if you play in metric.
Except I don't use metric measurements in any other aspect of my life. Using metric is immersion-breaking for me. Shrug dot gif.
