Feels like I’m kinda screwed. My current stalker character got frostbite somehow and is at a constant 95% condition. If I wear clothing up to 90% or ever 100% protection am I still at risk of dying, getting lacerations, and blood loss?
At risk of Dying yes. Everyone is. This is trully a dangerous animal. I definetly advice you to get the ballistic vest as that will protect you health wise, your clothes will receive much less dmg and theres a chance you wont get lacerations at all with it as you can see in the vid. Dont care about its weight or stamina nerf. You wont need to run or anything with it if wer talking cougars, your best interest is only to get out of this struggle in best condition possible. Your frostbite shouldnt be a problem. I didnt have full condition either and had 94% armor and I got out just fine as you saw, even on Interloper. Since you are on Stalker, Id advice you to use the Barts rifle as your strike weopen. Ut has better aiming sight, thus giving you better chance of a hit.

Honestly, I wouldnt mind it as much either, but the fact that on loper its only 20 days till it returns is just too low for a comfortable daily routine around my base. See, I live in Hunting Lodge. Closest outpost I could use is the tunnel in the far range pass. That in its self is terrible. No bed, no fire place (tho you can set up campfire in the rail part. No light… just overall terrible and expensive option for those 10days id have to be there. And than only 20 in my actual base before cycle continues. The closets good outpost would be Camp office, but on loper thats such a tea/coffee wise expensive trip there and back across Firlorn Muskeg which I just cant keep up supply wise. On Stalker I wouldnt have a problem. I live in the PV Farnstead so id just set up an outpost in the Keepers pass trailer. Its close, flat so easy for travois delivery. There are beds there, workbench and even a fishing spot. Fire barrel too. So on Stalker I wouldnt have a problem. But it would be terrible for mine and I bet alot of other players Interloper runs simply due to our base locations. Also Thx fr the like☺️ most people are stingy af and just click off. @@cyracks3375 I get where you are coming from. I don't play loper because I don't like missing a lot of good items, so on stalker for me, the cougar seemed fine. I understand how a lot of people's opinions differ from mine, and I respect Hinterland for changing the cougar to suit the majority's idea of what this animal should be, but again, I liked it as it was haha. On the other note, I liked the video because of how good that bow shot was, I like how satisfying it is to hit shots in this game.
@@owl4356 yes! I still feel extremely good about that shot. Will be a nice memory to keep😃 The bad thing about this tho is also the fact that sadly it isnt really skill based. Its just a pure luck where will that cougar run and in which angle? Terrain? This makes it so that If it stays this way, killing it with a bow would be more of a lottery and the items from it would be practically unobtainable for alot of players. That shot you saw me pull of is like 1/100 chance, so most of the other times id prolly get clapped😆 So once again, Im happy they’re givin him time off as I and nobody else would be able to keep the self defence going on with him. It trully is 90% chance of a loss 10% of a win…. Sooo…. Take him back!! Cat needs to chill out!😂
Well…. There is a LOT of luck in this. So, to put it straight, unless you have your saves backed, do NOT try this!! Hinterland was NOT kidding, this thing is VERY deadly. 1st, the spawn rng: it can take 0-idk hours till it strikes. 2nd: it CAN insta kill you even with above 80% condition and ballistic vest. 3rd and most important: after the attack, its all RNG. It can be easy shot, it can be a hard shot and it can also be IMPOSSIBLE shot depending on cougars route and terrain its heading. If you still want to kill this b*ch (srr, but thats just What this thing is), have good condition, set your mouse sensitivity to What you see in the vid, same What you see in the vid, wear the ballistic vest and everything else that gives armor and most importantly, pick a flat spot and pass time there (the flatter it is, the more chance you have of hitting it) Good Luck!🔥🔥 Edit: If you use controller… may God have mercy on you…

The % protection is protecting the condition. Ballistic vest has a chance to no severe lacerations🙂
Doesn't prevent lacerations, that is just getting lucky or unlucky
