I listen intently because I was lost knowing who I am as a man but confused on how to truly become an alpha male! After so much trauma from being abused for protecting my sister from a toxic boy my mom had tricked us into accepting him as a so-called customer but it was totally different! That woman allowed a man to infiltrate our home and peace to disrupt our life with his controlling ways because religion has got my mom and sisters spiritually lost and because he was allowed to infiltrate our life my sisters the very women I protected as an 15 year old have both turned their backs on me and my oldest sister knows my trauma and denies what I’m going through because of her and my mom! To this day at 45 that ignorant woman sees me as her slave son giving me what she feels I deserve after she intentionally destroyed my dreams and blinded me from knowing my true self😢

I love this sister, too. She speaks the absolute truth, which is needed to help us, inspire us, and to empower us to come into agreement with one another to build our homes, families, and communities so we can build a strong generational black family. We need more virtuous, genuine black women like this.

Although I was 16 years old when this book was published,I have never new about it until now...But as a man I’ve been rejected by many women because I wasn’t the man they need it in their lives because I wasn’t making enough money and I didn’t had the standards that they were looking for.,Also in my past relationships I’ve never been appreciative and thanked for I’ve done in the household,So I have been forced to stay single because we need women to understand us...Also I have kids and always women been selfish because I wanted to raise my kids as a family even though I wasn’t with my kids mom.!But nowadays I don’t know if there is a woman that thinks this way

No ones trying to get married here lmao and I’m damn sure not worried about the weird energy I have received from white ppl. I have knowledge of self and that automatically puts them in perspective. Mack. All men are NOT leaders. You know this better than me Sir. I say whoever is good at the math...let them do the math...whoever is good at english...let them do the letters etc. Every woman does not do well in the kitchen. I have 4 sisters. 2 of us can throw down...2 cannot...their men cook. So we have to also make like it's not 1783 and adapt accordingly. Just because a woman may not cook does not devalue her. Do men hunt? I mean do you hunt? You probably do not hunt because you dont have to. Does that devalue your manhood?I promise you that she has a man of means to order dinner or he cooks. She may clean well and sew, garden, mother well etc. Albeit most mothers cook at a minimum if nothing else.

Ashley Douglas I know lots of women who thought that chastisement from a man, a little hit, like a slap in the mouth is sexy. And then saw those women get with a man who really laid his fist and feet in their ass and they didn’t like it and were in misery. So be careful of your desires for chastisement, bcuz it’s gonna get real ugly.

Read this book at 16,I'm now 47 today. We have gotten worse as predicted. Social media is the next divider of our people. We still have no honor and discipline in our community. Still addicted to materialism, now addicted to sensationalism.

@@someguyik great question! When I first read it, I was like wow! She is going to have a lot of women pissed, but the truth hurts. Gave it to my girlfriend at the time, she only read a little bit and got upset. Tried to give it to other black women, they wouldn't touch it. I watched the media drag her through the mud. I remember when Iyanna dissed her on Donahue. In the end she was proven right. I tried to talk to black women about their attitude and health back in the 90's I stopped. We will be a community of single people unhealthy mentally and physically. It's only going to get worse.

Welp this thread is depressing... The truth hurts and the reality is just as bad and sad. I wish we would all think like this and create families that stayed together💯

As a black woman, I endorse this message! She's telling the truth and I'm sad that It took me 39 years in order to hear it from someone who looks like me.

MelaninGoddess Jewels yesss Queen 👸🏾 👏🏾 that interviewer is very defensive and lacks intelligence and wisdom !!! She needs to stop acting off of emotion and listen to a sister with more wisdom and experience than her it is like listening to your mother she doesn’t listen .
