I wonder how soon they will move out there since 20cm each year sounds like a pretty serious threat. At such a rate, it's one netter in just 5 years
Yet people are still stubborn by saying moving the capital is not necessary
@@rizaradri316 and why do you think they say that what seems unreasonable to me. But it must make some sense to them, right? What is your opinion on why they say they they don't need to move
@@tmblighty917 Because most people say the money spent on the new capital should be used on something else. Like increasing subsidies (Indonesians love subsidies), increasing salaries for workers, helping the poor, etc.
@@tmblighty917 They never cared that overcrowding and sinking rate are major issues. To them, prosperity are much more important than moving the capital
@@tmblighty917 Heck. I even saw a protest sign that says "kami tidak makan infrastruktur" in English that means "We don't 'eat' infrastructure" or in other words they don't need infrastructure as long as their bellies are full.
The burden of Java Island is too heavy.....
Jakarta is no longer fit to be the capital.......
Untuk Kemajuan Indonesia! ✊
The south of java coastline is rising anyway while the north is sinking.
Yet most people here in Indonesia still argues that moving the capital is not necessary. First the pollution part. They argued the government has been intensifying the usage of EV, so there would be less pollution. Secondly the economics. Most people still saying "why waste all the money on the new capital. Wouldn't it makes a lot more sense if the government spend it on helping the poor, increasing subsidies, etc". Thirdly, politics. There's been a lot of claims that if the government moved the capital, it will hampers democracy.
Moving is a good idea but a lot of things needs to be considered and it should not be rushed upon.
The funny part is that the ones who complains are mostly comes from Java island.
@@SetuwoKecik That's why federal systems need a neutral spot for their administration.
Democracy is a joke. It's a bunch of under-informed over stimulated fools voting based on emotions.
@@ankokunokayoubi rushed? When is the deadline?
Went to Jakarta for a few days on a trip and my impression of the traffic was
"How tf can people live like this???"
I would rather live poorer in serene village than having more money in city like Jakarta but daily life quality sucks.
we were used to it
Banyak motor hingga kemacetan begitu panjang 🤣🤣🤣🤣untungnya aku tinggal di desa di daerah kediri jawa timur 🤣🤣✌
the traffic of station in Jakarta, more crazy
@@ankokunokayoubiyakin?
@@diditsuhendra238 Terima kasih, apakah Indonesia menyenangkan?
The most criticism of this new capital city is that the planning, development and execution being rushed and something could go wrong by those.
Another one is environment & social issues
Salam Dari Indonesia 🇮🇩
I know, Jakarta is sinking so let’s build a new city on swampy Borneo
Idk man, it's like you have better options that's strategically located right at the center of the country.
it's not swampy at all, it's kinda hilly instead..
For the location which will be the new capital is not swampy, it's already in the right position, center of the forest
Good luck Indonesia
Thank you😊
Inshallah brother we will be the advance country in 2045
Horeeee we have a new Capital City yeeeessssssss 💪💪💪💪
Well, that's lovely for the people who can afford to move, I guess.
Jakarta problem (pollution, sinking, flooding, traffic jam, etc.) is not the main reason relocating the capital to Borneo, it's more because of developement reason..
🇮🇩
I'am from Indonesia
Indonesia will move its first lady to Kalimantan, which will be called Nusantara
They seem like problems of the Indonesian government could could alleviate with the concerted efforts But choose not to
Why move thousands of kilometer away?, just move tenth of kilometers southward, there are still plenty empty spaces with elevation hundreds of meters above sea level. Millions of jakarta resident will stay in jakarta. And the business will still be there since 4 centuries.
Kalimantan is my place I saw the structure in gor
Jakarta slowly but surely sinking.isnt stopping me from living there, i mean who wouldnt want to live in a real life atlantis
Why the government move from Jakarta to kalimantan:
1. Bcoz jakarta traffic jam to much
2. Bcoz floating around Jakarta every year
3. Bcoz to much QADRUUN in jakarta
4. Bcoz kalimantan bigger than java
5. Bcoz kalimantan in the center of Indonesia
"Qadruun"
Everyone lives in 2022 while Endang still in 2014.
@@SetuwoKecik wdym whos endang?
Bro is living in 2016 lmao
Indonesia capital - Nusantara (on the island of Borneo)
This update finna be lit 🔥🔥🔥
jakarta problem (population, sinking, flooding, traffic jam, etc) is not the main reason relocating the capital to kalimantan, it's more because of development reason
OK, once they move to new location, Jakarta will be abandoned by most of inhabitants due to move to new capital, as result Jakarta will be healed of current problems, but the same shit will happen on new location. I suggest to think again!
Nobody is abandoning jakarta. Not as long as Indonesia exist as a country.
But at least Jakarta's burden will got lessened and the problem in the new capital won't be that severe, assuming it's a well-planned city since it was made from scratch.
Better than nothing, you know?
What makes you so sure the people residing in Jakarta will automatically move to the new capital? The Jakartans don't live in Jakarta simply because it's the capital, they live there because it's an economic hub, you can move your capital, but moving an economic hub is simply ridiculous, so I doubt Jakarta will be abandoned by most of it's inhabitants
So the government and its workers will move out of the sinking city and the people left in Jakarta will... just die, I guess.
Nope, majority of people will move along with capital, so extraction of ground water will be significantly reduced, and so sinking will stop. Current solution is the most idiotic most expensive solution!
Not a politicians job to move people. People move themselves
jakarta sedang dibenahi smua oleh pj heru dan pusat smua sungai swdamg dinormalisasi dan sedang dibangun gean seawall juga
New name of new capital city "IKN NUSANTARA"
We had this discussion million times, they move their capital because its sinking and bc of the flooding
The video’s not for you, then.
@@GEOfocusChannel 💀
flooding happen every year in Jakarta, more answer is bcs Jakarta already overpopulation, and too many people gather & making money in here so uneven with the other city
That picture not about sinking, it's normal flood
fastest sinking city in the world, you can tell very obvious with bare eyes
How about becoming a REAL democracy first? Then they can worry about building a new capital. 🙄
Ada maksud tersembunyi
Iya, kalo daerah lain gk dibangun gk ush ngoceh ya 🤭
as an Indonesian who lives in Jakarta, i agreed that Jakarta is sinking quickly. i might move out to the new capital city of Indonesia (Kalimantan) someday
Allah will help.
Aamiin 🙏
i think Jakarta will be sinked soon or abandoned soon
Hypocracy! Indonesian Government 🇮🇩 is currently invading West Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 for resources & economy
Jangan asal memfitnah lu yah dapat berita dari mana indonesia meninvasi papua barat makanya janggan mudah terprovokasi media dan cuman ditelan mentah mentah
Man are you stupid or dont know about Indonesia history?
The west part of the island of New Guinea was part of Dutch east indies therefore they are belong to the Indonesia
