Great video! I just got the additional licenses for Copilot and Project Plan 3 and I'm PUMPED to start really exploring how these tools can help me be more efficient with my time. This video was really helpful! For Copilot to help analyze meeting and capture notes, do we have to record the meeting or can that functionality be done without recording?
I am pumped for you!! These tools have helped me so much already! Within our tenant, I simply need to click "open copilot" in my Teams meeting and that will start the meeting transcription which allows me to use copilot to analyze the meeting and capture notes. I do not need to record (I can if I want to) but just a transcription will do. There are options at the tenant level that allow you to still use copilot without transcription during a meeting, but then after the meeting you can't go back and ask copilot questions about the meeting as there is no transcription or recording available. We have this option turned off in our tenant.

Very helpful video. I have the M365 Copilot license which does give me Copilot option in Word and Excel but I am looking for help with actually creating a project plan in Smartsheets. Can it do that? I am not a project manager and am more of a project owner/sponsor. However, for one of my projects, I am struggling to find a project manager because of resource constraints, so was wondering if I could try and PM this myself with M365 Copilot. Thoughts/guidance?
Glad you found the video helpful! To my knowledge, Copilot does not work with applications outside the M365 suite, such as Smartsheet. However, you could use Copilot to generate content, project plans etc. but then you would need to integrate it with Smartsheet. Planner is another option within the M365 that may help with your PM needs and you can use Copilot with Planner, but Planner is unfortunately not an "end all be all" for Project Management yet.

Curious: how does it perform when many people are around a conference table? The transcripts of Teams will make it appear that I'm speaking to myself. Curious how well this AI distinguishes that reality.
I was curious about this too! I’ve had varying results. It can pick up on different speakers, but doesn’t always attribute the correct words to the correct speaker and often mixes up male voices and female voices. When people address each other by name though, it appears to learn voices and I’ve found it is pretty accurate ~80-90% when assigning action items correctly. As always, I do double check everything.
