Take its results with a MASSIVE pinch of salt. We're still testing it and it transcribed a meeting I was in. It said "Steve said there is an issue with the phone system and he'll fix it shortly". 1. There was nothing wrong with the phone system. 2. I never said that, it just made the whole bit up. 9:58 Also would be good to point out its flaws and that its not perfect, because its clear its not.
@TheStevenWhiting It read your mind Steve. You were thinking about it. It told everyone with access to your meeting notes that you had been thinking about the phone system 😀. I agree Steve. I am in South Africa and it messes so much of our notes with us speaking English with varying accents. Very early to hand over everything to it. A comprehensive overview by @AndyMaloneMVP nevertheless.
Imagine all the time we can waste (not just save) on this. Great summary - thanks for creating the video. Also, very interesting technology I am a big user of LLMs. However, this stuff is very destructive in the wrong hands. Co-pilot needs to ask more questions before generating content that will consume everyone's time. For documents and presentations it should ask about your objectives, who the audience is, what the audience's objectives are, etc. We can easily get on a path where GenAI is creating garbage that is consuming all of humanity's time.
what benefits does Copilot offer in terms of Excel/ Sharepoint/ etc? Same as the other connected apps? What are the security concerns regarding gaining info from other sources ( cause this is what it does as this is AI, like chatgpt )
Absolutely there are many benefits for both SharePoint and XL in the form of data sorting, analysis charting and graphs and so much more. Check out the Copilot lab for details and demos. It’s I really good resource 👍
really wanted to learn more about it, however, I can't convince my company to buy a copilot license (even 1 license for the pilot test) as this is quite expensive. How i can tackle it and try this feature personally?
isn't it a bit expensive? seems to me it is... a 365 licence for business is 12.50 a month standard, and this is a 30 dollar "add-on"? is that right? not sure many businesses will see the value of it per user (especially since most users won't use it...)
Thanks, sir, for this... but I have issues in my CoPilot main chat, and in Excel and PowerPoint especially... I can not see the "add file" button option... which is sad... yes, I am a pro user and have 365 sub. Please help! 🙏
To be honest, $30 per user/month is a lot for Copilot to help me write a document or a PPT. There must be much more value than that. Unfortunately, all the presentations on YT are about these trivial benefits.
Now, how do we disable it globally on all systems and applications to ensure our IP/ITAR is protected without paying Microsoft for additional charges like our own Ai instance. I see these and laugh out loud at all the companies going for CMMC that are being forced to pay extra because Microsoft doesn't make things easy or even possible to disable it not enable in the first place.
@@AndyMaloneMVP except you can't fully. Copilot and Ai has been forced down everyone's throats by Microsoft. It's auto enabled in almost every system, and their guides are horrible or outright inaccurate on how to disable it for an enterprise tenant. This is hugely problematic for anyone concerned about compliance requirements.

Absolutley

I am from brazil and I am really astonished with those infinite possibilities
Excel demo would have been good. Seeing it analyse large spreadsheet would have been a useful demo
Really useful to Get started as the thumbnail suggest. Thank you so much..
Great Video! Question please, is It works from webapps only?
Not at all.
Thank you for providing such a comprehensive overview of MS Copilot, Andy. Your insights are incredibly helpful and informative.
You’re welcome👍

Great comments thanks for pitching in👍
You mention that there are 117 different versions of Copilots. Can you point out where there is a list of these? Thanks!
This is what I’ve been told, but you can always try Wikipedia
How do you use it just for your information and keep private. You said we can pull from web if want. Can I stop info from being shared to web
Absolutely
can i use my own masters or templates in powerpoint together with copilot?
I don’t see why not
Great content, but record a video about what Copilot can do in excel.
Excellent
The email one was a good example, not sure many companies would be happy with this AI reading through their emails

@@AndyMaloneMVP is this rivalling Power BI in any way/ competing with it and its functions?

Hear you but we’re all in the same boat.
@@AndyMaloneMVP even you as a MVP, you didn't be invited to have the trial license?

Sorry, I’ve not come across those issues. I would either post in the Microsoft tech community or contact support. Good luck 👍
So, Copilot is Clippy on steriods!!!!! LOL
Looks lik an awesome tool
Well, I can tell you after a run in with clippy a month ago he is very happy with his grandchild 😆
U r a pro🎉
does it work on MS Office for Mac?
Yes
Yes
It is all good, but in word online wrap text doesn't work, you can't make it behind the text and in front of text.

It should be given free to the subscriber of 365

Don’t sign up to Microsoft 365 copilot.
