I miss an EV slider in the video mode the most, especially for usage with S-Cinetone. There is a lot to get out of it if you get more precise conrol. Shooting video on the telephoto, I would use a tripod and turn off the stabilizer. IQ is really fantastic for a phone then. Shooting stills on the telephoto, I prefer to shoot them in RAW because the automatic processing is too harsh on the telephoto optics. You can get nice pictures out of it, but you have to work a bit more for it, unfortunately. On the other side, it is still better to have 170mm of reach in your pocket with some work to do than being forced to use digital zoom or have a big lens with you for 1-2 shots only.
i dont know bro. but i also like the sony 1 v ui for camera. and the s cine from the 1 v is much better than the 1 vi. i remember when i have the 1 v i also shoot on scine. now on 1 vi im using the standard pp 😅

@@DaddyBrotherTVyep agree. The selfie camera is decent enough but in poor light or if you're not steady it struggles. It's really the only flaw with the phone that bothers me a bit. Also if you like your selfies to stand out for social media you'll need to edit the tones and contrast etc. etc.
Nice video, I agree on the telephoto lens, it's really bad, especially considering the fact, that this phone is by a camera and lens titan. I can however forgive the week selfie cam, I don't really usw that particular camera a lot, but that depends on the person ofcourse. What I however would love to see in a Mark VII version is Sony using the display bar at the top for a 3D face unlock, that would really be a top selling point to me!

I'm in the market for a new phone and really like the fact Sony has a 3.5mm port and a micro SD card slot, on top of a brighter screen and slightly better camera system than the 1V had. Second on my list, at the moment, would be the Oneplus Open. It seems to have a great camera system as well and a very nice design. I just don't know if I really want to switch to a foldable. What are you're thoughts on this? I'd be coming from an iPhone 12 Pro Max, but want to switch to Android.
oneplus open is one of the best foldable but still it is foldable,the problem would be the durability.try the oneplus 12 bro. it has good camera, software and battery. but if eying for 1 vi. this is one of the best choices. you have the micro SD slot!!! and 3.5mm port.the software is great. and the battery is one of the best. the main camera is like mirrorless camera quality.
Just mentioned on another youtuber review of this phone that how on earth sony chooses a 24mm lens without autofocus for the front display when this phone is geared towards "creators"? It produces soft out of focus videos and photos. Also, the telephoto lens is really crap. Paid nearly £1300 and I expect flagship quality from all the lenses. The fact that Sony does not offer trade-ins for their new phones is also making me want to sell my Xperia 1 vi and get a Samsung as I know I'll get at least 50% off my phone when I upgrade for a newer model. No trade-ins and subpar cameras (except for the main one) is a really tough pill to swallow. Nice review.

Aside from the telephoto sensor size and lack of autofocus in front camera, I think there are a couple of issues. When you campare Xperia with other phones like moto or samsung, you may discover the UI design on Xperia is so outdated. The Xperia offers fewer features and lacks features like calls recording, app clone on moto, Samsung Notes or journal on the iPhone(it is said that iPhone can record calls and trascript them into journals), Samsung notes can record whole conference, transcript into notes and output a conference summary. If xperia has notes, maybe it can establish collabotive linkage between sony apps like music pro and notes, Music pro for recordings and notes for transcription from recordings. Talking about camera pro, Xperia doesnt offer features like one-touch time-lapse photography in basic mode and telephoto macro shooting need to adjust focus manually. I dont think a non-camera user would know how to adjust focus manually on a cellphone. I think only 120mm telephoto macro shooting need to be reserved(neednt more closer) and add autofocus. In Pro mode, UI should be back to photography Pro on xperia 1 V, provides users clearer experience of parameters adjustment. HDR algorithm and antishake need to be improved. Charging speed need to be faster. Moto has 125w wired charging, sony could be 45-66w. Screen resolution should be 2k and vapor chamber could be larger.

@@DaddyBrotherTV thats ok. But if you want to listen to native DSD you need an external dac. I use "Oppo HA-2". Internal dac doesnt support DSD. I use "Neutron MP" as a player.
@@famakate Did you use "Neutron MP" which supports direct USB access? Only way to play DSD flac without transcoding. I have problems with OPPO HA-2 & Focusrite Saffire 6. Don't have more DACs.

sa ngayon wala napo sken yung 14 ultra ko. pero sa experience ko. camera 14 ultra padin pag dating sa camera. 1 inch sensor tapos yung tele cameras nya mas maganda at malinaw kesa sa sony. pero kung hindi naman issue ang zoom like sken, sony ang pipiliin ko. main camera ng sony para ka ng nakamirrorless camera tapos yung image quality napaka natural. as a photographer ayun talaga ang hanap ko. tapos yung battery ng sony sobrang kunat compare sa 14 ultra, 5-6hrs SOT ka lang wala pang gaming yon. overall performance sony 🔥 pero kung camara specially zooming. 14 ultra ayun lang battery talaga ang magiging prob mo

You forgot to mention when using an external DAC. It stutters and pops playing music when using "Direct USB access". 😢
I don't really use the usb c port for music. im more on 3.5mm
