I have been meaning start getting into the new digimon card game. A few questions. 1: which of the starter decks should I get if any? 2: is Megidtamon in the game? 3: if yes how good is it?
Nice to see yall colab on this. I feel this works better than relying on the Chat to determine if the card is good as well as it allows a dialogue after the guess which is interesting.
I'd love to see you reverse the roles with someone. Show someone who doesn't know much about Yugioh and let them guess how good certain cards are (though that may be weirder given how archetypes work in Yugioh).

I would say it's closer to "except "Celtic Guardian", "Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1", "Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #2", "Guardian of the Labyrinth", or "The Reliable Guardian"."
Feels like a bit too much got cut out of this one compared to the other videos, we got basically no explanation for why a card is good or bad for multiple cards here.
I did that for the last 5 cards or so to kind of speed round it. I can understand why people might not like it, I'll keep it to the usual style going forward.
Eggs in the tutorial have effects, just very minor ones. Koromon said "if you had 4 digivolution sources, you get +1000 DP". The starter eggs were all very mediocre. Also the issue with Mega Digimon Fusion wasn't looping, it was strong to loop with, but there were decks able to evolve from tamers to a lvl 7, do 3 points of damage, and given that its hard to remove tamers, thats really strong.
That LV7 you mentioned is the almighty Susanoomon. Fusion allows players to summon it for 1 memory and swing for 3, then have another Digimon swing for game.
On top of every basic set of playing card game? They'd also have a to know all the digital only ones (legends of runeterra) and dead ones (club penguin). Knowing all the house rules to UNO is hard enough. I'd imagine the person that learns the rules to EVERY SINGLE card game, gets to ascend to Godhood.
I'd love to see this series cover the Fire Emblem Cipher card game, as I've always been curious about it... though it'd probably be hard because it was never released outside of Japan, and it unfortunately was discontinued fairly recently.
ooh, the cypherfaire fellas as a guest would be amazing. also to acemack, people still play it online on lackey, and you can see the cards on serenesforest. i own a few and they're some of the most beautiful cards i've ever seen. the UR's are amazing.
If DuelLogs ever wants to do a Cipher video/stream I may know a guy who played the game competitively for the last 3 years of its run and topped a few events in Osaka/Aichi.
@@vullord666 Sadly the only thing so far officially is basically a Tabletop Sim clone, and its only for competitive. Hopefully we get something to the degree of Master Duel in the future, since there have been digital Digimon Tcgs in the past.
The Angewomon inherited effect seems really good for Lucemon Specifically (a Level 3 Digimon with a Memory cost of 13 that you can't Digivolve anything into it and can only evolve into other Lucemon cards, setting up for when Lucemon Falldown mode and eventually Shadowlord mode come out).

I realized that this video is almost a year ago. hahahahaha Yeah the Metalgreymon inherit probably was released after the video.
Man you gotta do one for legends of runeterra, because it's the best ccg out there. The only problems might be that the difference between bad cards and good cards isn't that big, and there are a lot of keywords/referenced cards, mostly because there are no activated effects.

Rina is the definition of a niche card. As a general blue card it's mediocre buy in Ulforceveedramon its a staple because it's the best tamer to combo with it because it activates all of the when unsuspend effects during the attack one of which is jamming.

You should do a video on best UR cards to dismantle in master duel. There's not a lot of good sources for this, especially for new or returning players.
I feel like the editing on this video was a bit too stilted. Maybe the VOD will show that the expert goes further in depth about the cards. As a noob I felt like there were further explanations about the card's rankings that could have helped this [presumably] main video. For example with Metalgarurumon, our expert just said that the best part about the card was its name and the effects are too specific - Smash cut to the next card. I'd have liked some further explanation about the Garurumon supports to see how it slots in and a better explanation about why the specificity of the card effects are detrimental. I'll be going over to the VOD to see if these questions are discussed, but I'd have liked it in the main video.
An idea for a similar format could be looking at specific combos or decks and trying to understand what they are doing. I noticed in the MTG videos that a lot of the cards submitted are Impossible to judge in a vacuum, LED or time vault for example. This would likely not be about guessing If they are good but more about piecing them together.
bit bummed you cut out TheEgman's explanations as to why they were good / bad. Most of the other videos in this series the audio of them explaining was more fleshed out. still love the series!

I would love to see you do one for Inscryption, although it would probably be much harder since the rules and basic gameplay is very diffrent from other card games, and also the abilites of the cards aren't writtten on the cards, and many of the op cards have secret traits that aren't written anywhere. Still I would love to see this guys reaction to cards like the geck and how a 1/1 card with no abilities or mechanics is considered one of the most broken cards in the game.
I like this series. If i could recommend a TCG that i loved before power creep made it unplayable. Force of Will TCG. It was colloquially known as "anime MTG" by most people. I could even provide you with a list of card that are obviously good, obviously bad, seem good but are bad, seem bad but are good and most importantly incredibly confusing
I would love to see this with hearthstone, a game that honestly has cards that seem weak on paper but actually define the meta and demand nerfs and other cards that do so much and see such little play

I will say that Blackwargreymon is quite good in the new archetype revolving around the new version of Blackwargreymon. If you evolve up into the one shown in the video you can easily wipe their entire board
You could do FE Cipher as well. It is a much more simple card game than Yugioh. It is somewhat niche (being a spinoff of a video game series), but it's card pool is complete as there won't be any new cards.
Hey, I think what you're doing is really cool (I'm an MTG player myself but do dabble in other CCGs). Have you considered doing this kind of content with card games such as LoR, Gwent, or Hearthstone? I think it'd be really cool since they're card games but digital only.

Yea you can make a meta Deck for around 80$ and the rules are fairly simple so it's a pretty good casual TCG.

Put something like right and wrong guess counter to make this series better
There's a fun One Piece TCG. I think it was discontinued, but I still play it every now and then with my cousin.
Would love to see on of this for licke, Chaotic or something like that.
