This is pure nonsense. There is nothing religious about the so-called "god particle" or "dark matter". The first one is a nickname for the Higgs-Boson, that a book publisher came up with and the second one is called "dark" because it's not detectable with current technology.
Here's the explanation to the so-called "god particle": Prior to it being proven an author wrote a book about it. He wanted to name his book "The godd... particle", because it's so difficult and tiresome to detect. The publisher did not want a book with a title like that for obvious reasons, so he shortened the name to "The god particle" (also because that gives some publicity in order to boost selling of that book). Scientists don't and didn't use that term, they use the correct name: Higgs-Boson

They restarted the collider on the 5th. It is normal since many years to shut down the LHC during the winter months and to restart it in spring; this year was no different.
Although this eclipse isn't visible in most of Europe, I wonder if there are any science experiments in North America that have to compensate, like subtract less noise or something.

There is absolutly no need to worry. These stories to get clicks are pure nonsense. Just some short points for starters: What CERN does is happening a million of times everyday naturally in the upper atmosphere for as long as this planet exists. There are more particle colliders around the world not just the LHC (but since they're lesser known you hear less legends about them - i.e. fermilab in the USA or DESY in Germany). All of them are and have been operating for a very long time, the one at CERN included. And in regards to particle accelerators (which are also important parts of particle colliders) - there are even more of them as they are also widely used for medical purposes at hospitals. The worst case scenario that could happen with the LHC in case of an accident is that it gets heavily damaged needing extensive repair. Every nuclear power plant in the world (including those used to power submarines) is more dangerous than a particle collider - not even to mention nukes hands of some questionable regimes.

Not sure if Cern would be involved, but I really doubt international interests and shareholders would agree on building the biggest and most powerful machine on earth in the history of mankind just to watch particles collide. We would shift into another realm alltogether, with very few, though major, changes, without even noticing when it happened since it would be in a snap second (fir ex: a total new and absurd global belief or a new illogical and inexplicable way of thinking human identity, a reset in some way). The particle collider has been in operation for many years and it's normal that it gets shut down during winter and then (after maintenance or upgrades) being restarted in spring - just that this year some people spread those nonsensical allegations. Fact is that if something goes wrong the worst that could happen is the machine getting damaged.

The particle you’re referring to is actually called the Higgs boson and was discovered years ago, the God particle was just a nickname. Dark matter, or to use its technical term non-baryonic matter, is a hypothetical substance (either a form of matter or particle) that is theorised to permeate the universe that only interacts with gravity, hence the name ‘dark’ as it doesn’t show up on any kind of telescope, optical, UV, IR Xray, Radio or otherwise. The only reason why you’re saying dark matter is demonic is because of the negative connotations associated with the word dark. If everyone called it non-baryonic matter, and the term ‘dark matter’ didn’t even exist the would you still think it demonic?

There is absolutly no need to worry. These stories to get clicks are pure nonsense. Just some short points for starters: What CERN does is happening a million of times everyday naturally in the upper atmosphere for as long as this planet exists. There are more particle colliders around the world not just the LHC (but since they're lesser known you hear less legends about them - i.e. fermilab in the USA or DESY in Germany). All of them are and have been operating for a very long time, the one at CERN included. And in regards to particle accelerators (which are also important parts of particle colliders) - there are even more of them as they are also widely used for medical purposes at hospitals. The worst case scenario that could happen with the LHC in case of an accident is that it gets heavily damaged needing extensive repair.
Every nuclear power plant in the world (including those used to power submarines) is more dangerous than a particle collider - not even to mention nukes hands of some questionable regimes.

Total eclipses are not rare, they happen somewhere on earth about every two years. And the LHC is not the only particle collider on earth, and was restarted often in the last years, like it happened on other colliders (the first collider at CERN was opened in 1957)

There’s already a big problem with time going faster and the sun spectrum changing to a much hotter color for a while. This is major. Not sure if Cern would be involved, but I really doubt international interests and shareholders would agree on building the biggest and most powerful machine on earth in the history of mankind just to watch particles collide. There is definitely à bigger story behind Cern, it would be à bit naïve to think otherwise.
Ps: if they somehow achieved suppressing one particle from the universe by crashing one too hard, it would be radical without much noticeable visible change. The universe would change its mass, its own general signature and this would open temporary ”pockets” of intersectionnal areas in the structure of adjacent parallel universes.
We would shift into another realm alltogether, with very few, though major, changes, without even noticing when it happened since it would be in a snap second (fir ex: a total new and absurd global belief or a new illogical and inexplicable way of thinking human identity, a reset in some way). Why in Heaven would they do that is worth considering though, as they’re in it with us. They might develop antimatter or nuclear fusion fuel for what we know. The idea behind something more exotic is of course much more entertaining.

The particle collider has been in operation for many years and it's normal that it gets shut down during winter and then (after maintenance or upgrades) being restarted in spring - just that this year some people spread those nonsensical allegations. Fact is that if something goes wrong the worst that could happen is the machine getting damaged.

As there are no people in the tunnel when the beam is active, there is no danger of someone getting injured, it would be property damage only.
