I might need a list of materials for when I head to a department store. The plans for my Plasma/Magnet colider has a copper railway in a conductor loop for the electrical current to travel at high speeds, To power it, I consider about using either a taser, man-power by cycling or use a kite in a lightning storm (I ain't using the college's power supply, too much power) for the Jacobs ladder to keep the loop going, And if you're asking how I'll stop it, honestly I hadn't thought about it, but I'm thinking of adding a switch to the design.

@@MrLewooz Not sure about the limited context but basically one of those two, yeah; probably the proton beam if I had to guess. Think like why tire treads are spaced unevenly so that you don't get a very loud drone at a particular speed.
