Throughly enjoyed your Flint River float! I have enjoyed your videos and have been a subscriber for some time now. I’m 80 years old and used to fish Flint River from the bank back when I was 16. I live in Huntsville and was born here. Nice to see some familiar places on your video. My Baby Brother have fished Scottsboro and Guntersville for years. My Brother has caught several big largemouth. He has always has fished in the front of the boat and ran the trolling motor, so he has first shot at the big ones. At least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Don’t go much anymore because of arthritis in my back and legs, so I appreciate all the great videos on You Tube. Thanks for all your great fishing videos. I will leave you with my favorite bible verse, John 3:16, my rock!
I’ve kayaked there before. Nice place. I took my son to swim where you put in last week. I spied a giant red breast near that grass guarding a bed so I grabbed my rod from the truck and after no success with a little jig, I ran a Rebel little craw and got him to bite. One of the most beautiful fish. Fun place to fish, swim and kayak.
Beautiful water, produced some nice bass to! I hauled Coal Mining Eqip. to U.S.Steel off of Huey Town Rd. In Birmingham. Saw some nice streams in areas, like Fort Payne and Gasden. They sure made me want to fish them, a lot of small falls. Ala. is a beautiful state. God Bless! (Glen). WV.
The smallmouth population here in Missouri is crazy this year! Even in our smaller creeks. A buddy of mine, and myself have both caught our pb smallmouth on the 4th this year. 3.5lb and 3.75lb. On Big River. Great fishing!
Its alway fun to spend time with your brother no matter how the fish are biting. But you had some nice fish which made that much better. God bless you and your family.....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😀😊🙂
Another excellent fishing adventure. If you’ve not tried it, sometime you should fish the Buffalo River in Arkansas. It’s a National Scenic Riverway. I’m an old man but in my 20s I floated it several times. Beautiful.
Man you are breaking my heart as you speed by some of the most beautiful parts of that river. I understand it, but I would have to just pull over, beach the boat and fish. Great video.
This is like 10 minutes from my house ‼️ it’s amazing to see such a pro this close to me. I would love to some day fish with you. You’ve inspired me to create my own UA-cam channel and make videos. I really love your content.
When you set the hook at 5:17, and your rod bent instantly, I knew this was a good fish. As always, loved this adventure with you. I recently found a bevy of suckers I plan to target to see if I get them to bite. Most of them are pretty big, too. Keep cranking out the vids about cranking in the fish. TLF
Awesome video man love your videos keep up the good work I appreciate all of the work you put in to making your videos keep it up, I got some hellgrammite lures and I can't get the fish to bite em
I am going to have to make a trip to Guntersville now...LOL That was a good looking stretch of river that you were on, and it did seem to be quite lively with the bass. My family has a place on Lake Guntersville so I may need to look into fishing the creeks off the lake. But I must get my order from Nikko Baits before I go. Great video as always. GOD BLESS AND GO KATS!!!!!!
Nice scouting excursion with some beautiful fish.... next time you should tie a brick to your brothers kayak to slow him down a little so you can fish more...lol
You talk about loving the Yum Dinger and I can kinda follow how you fish em watching. abunch of your videos but as someone who is getting into fishing but didn't grow up fishing much I think it'd be great to hear you talk about how you fish a soft plastic like that, especially on a jig, because honestly I find jigs super intimidating to learn (every time I try to use em I just spend my whole time re-tying and I never have any luck haha). You look so casual throwing a jig around I'd just be curious how you approach that kind of fishing!
I was watching the Flukemaster Gene Jenson in a Kayak tourament and noticed he usually wouldn't unhook the bass till after he measured it. I think he does that so it will not kick off the board and lose it overboard before logging it in. Just a little observation. I know you have lost a few overboard and down the PDL hole.
I caught a great 19” SM on that section last year. Super unexpected. Last Monday I floated a section just upstream of where you were - river was really cool but really shallow in a lot of spots. Saw tons of what I think were black drum. Would love to see how you would fish it
Better put that hat or get some sunscreen getting a little shiny on top, don't feel good when burnt. Mines thinner took my hat off one time had little spots looked like chicken pox thru the mesh on the hat.
What do you think of the sportsman pdl I just acquired one. I was wondering do you use the pdl drive certain size rivers or do you mostly leave it out, Hard to find info Your knowledge of it would be appreciated Thanks
I love mine and haves used it in so many different situations. I will leave it drive out and put in a blank off piece only in very shallow rivers that I plan to float downstream. I use it in bigger rivers all the times and can paddle upstream on a lot of places
There is an acronym you should know for times when you have to backtrack 45 min. B O D A big ol' dumb a** Lol, friend of mine started that with me when he went to work with the phone company. You'll find many uses for it in life! Also, good float down the river. Good day with brother! Wish I had one more afternoon with mine.

Extremely nice float! Your water navigation skills are much improved since you began! Wishin I was fishin!

Nice little creek to float and fish. Enjoy the content.

It's cool to see how a river changes as you float through. 5 or 10 minutes and you have water that looks so different.
Thank you for your time of fishing
YEEEEEEESSSSS.....THHHAAAAATTTTSS THE SMALLMOUTH!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent video. We live 3 mins from the Flint River. So many diverse options on the Flint. Need to do a Huntsville meet up for your Huntsville fans!

Ay in my home territory haha. Love the flint river!
Nice scouting excursion with some beautiful fish.... next time you should tie a brick to your brothers kayak to slow him down a little so you can fish more...lol
Good idea!
Please tell me you're coming down to the Mobile Delta at some point! I would love to see a video or two of you fishing in my home turf!

I’m down to fish all day!! Let’s go!!
Great video. Looked a bit tired brother. Get some well deserved rest!

The noise of bugs in the back ground. Just makes it sound like it’s really hot out there. Lol
Hi I love your vids
Nice battle at 11:40 lol
Those smallmouths were nice.
I've got a tournament coming up Saturday. I'm getting pumped.
awesome man, im sure you will do well
@@CreekFishingAdventures thanks man! It's a multi lake. I'm going back to where I got third.
Do you ever use a drag chain to slow your drift?
Man thanks, that's a great idea! Some of us can't afford a power pole
no havent yet
I fished the upper part Father's day weekend seen some big fish

i will try to do a video on it, i never used it until a couple years ago but now love it
@@CreekFishingAdventures would be much appreciated! Haha what ever comes I've really enjoyed your channel. Keep up the great work!
Was a nice section of water. Sorry about the extra miles for the gear.
How are you rigging your yum dinger? And what top water do you like to throw in summer in these rivers ?
I was watching the Flukemaster Gene Jenson in a Kayak tourament and noticed he usually wouldn't unhook the bass till after he measured it. I think he does that so it will not kick off the board and lose it overboard before logging it in. Just a little observation. I know you have lost a few overboard and down the PDL hole.
I saw that yesterday and thought the same thing.
thats interesting, My tournament rules says it has to be unhooked. I'll check into it
Hey, my neck of the woods!
Fun vid!

i hope i can do the upper section this summer
John do you use a weighted hook on the yum dinger great video that 15" bass would have been great for your frist fish in a Bass Tournament
Yes I do sometimes
@@CreekFishingAdventures thank you
What is the yellow line you use on your reels?
John you were literally minutes from me. I live farther up the Flint and float alot of the tributaries
thats awesome
Nice day, nice fish! John what size jig for a hellgramite? I think I'm to heavy, can't stop getting hung up. Using Z-man jig.
that creek screams flathead to me. wonder what else lurks beneath those dark waters😮
Better put that hat or get some sunscreen getting a little shiny on top, don't feel good when burnt. Mines thinner took my hat off one time had little spots looked like chicken pox thru the mesh on the hat.
Snake swims by in the background at 12:18
That second spot was a ky that river has them both.
i didnt think about it till later that that could definitely be a Ky spot , Thanks
If you had a power pole you could stop and fish more spots more slowly.
What do you think of the sportsman pdl I just acquired one. I was wondering do you use the pdl drive certain size rivers or do you mostly leave it out, Hard to find info Your knowledge of it would be appreciated Thanks
